Isaiah 43:16-21

This is what the Lord says – he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick; Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Such an interesting night at work last night… I spent the first couple of hours printing out all my paper work and reports… then I had a quick meeting with my electronics manager… spent the next couple of hours scanning for more clearance in hardware… then it was time for lunch… as soon as I got back from lunch was when all the interesting stuff happened… I found my closing partner to take the manager phone… at the time she was dealing with an unhappy customer and had a phone on each ear… I got our head manager to deal with the customer and sent my co lead off to lunch… then we had a code Adam and then twenty minutes later we had another code Adam… different children, all found… then the customer who was upset on the phone husband showed up in the store… explained to him the manager was still working on his issue… an hour later his issue was happily resolved, my co lead was back from lunch and we started closing duties… five minutes after closing I get a call that a child has fallen and cut his ear… get security and head to the area to find out the mother had called an ambulance, which I swear pulled up within ninety seconds of her hanging up the phone… I checked for more customers in the store, found none and had the associates start closing procedures letting them know that we would be delayed however until the ambulance left… only to discover that we still had a customer in lawn and garden who needed to pick up his lawn mower, luckily the mpu associates had not left yet… however he was parked on the far side of the store and all the doors are locked… so the ambulance has left, the customer is picking up his lawn mower and I find that the father of the injured child wants to finish his shopping… the mother had left in the ambulance with the injured child… so I continue the associates on their closing procedures… by 9:55 the man is still shopping and it is time to let the associates go home… so I make the announcement to release the associates hoping the customer will make a decision… he is finally paying and he and all the associates go home…  leaving us managers staying a half hour late to close the store…

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

the most common regret is not living a life true to yourself.

Have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you. You can start small, but do start honoring at least some of your dreams.

March Twenty First & Twenty Second

Luke 20:9-19

He went on to tell the people this parable, A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time. At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty handed. He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty handed. He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out.

The the owner of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my son, whom I love; perhaps they will respect him.

But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. This is the heir, they said. Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? he will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.

When the people heard this, they said, May this never be!

Jesus looked directly at them and asked, Then what is the meaning of that which is written: The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone.

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.

The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.

Yesterday I spent the day in a training meeting… new changes coming to the company…

After the meeting me and my co leader spent a couple of hours cleaning out our signing…

I ended up leaving work a half hour late, picking up son2 late from college and he got out a half hour early… so he had to wait an hour… still no desire to learn how to drive himself…

IMG_0001

Hubby went to the teacher conference with son3… he will not have to go to summer school as long as he brings up his D’s… it’s not that he isn’t smart, as the teacher said he answers problems on the board and speaks up in class… it’s his organization skills… hubby and I are always telling him to bring home everything from his desk every Friday… or threatening to meet him at school and go through his desk for him… see that picture above, well yesterday the teacher and hubby went through his desk, and those are all the missing assignment slips that son3 has not brought home… he had brought home one or two… amazingly the one on top by its self is the latest one and even from that one the teacher found some of those in son3’s desk… so some how he had turned in all those missing assignments… I think son3 is smarter then he lets on in such that he manipulates us into thinking he needs help so that he doesn’t have to do more then expected… the teacher says son3 spends the most time at recess and lunch then any other student he has seen catching up on work… and forgetting to put him name on his papers or remember to check the pile of papers with no names to see if any of them are his…

IMG_0004

All the pictures in today’s entry are from the yard yesterday…

IMG_0005

This morning son3 is off to class and ready for his Geology test…

Hubby did homework with him last night and got everything caught up that was due today…

IMG_0006

Son2 is already on Spring Break (still sleeping) and son3 starts today after school…

Son2 signed up for Fall classes already… will need to ask him again what they are…

And now that taxes are done, we can get started on financial aid…

IMG_0007

Almost time to shower and start thinking about work… I close tonight…

I need to write a letter for an Easter card that I still need to get in the mail…

I’m giving myself til Monday to get it in the mail so it will arrive on time… although I have been trying to write it since the beginning of this week… I did print some pictures this morning to go with it…

I need a day off to go with my day off… Every day is just go to work it seems…

IMG_0009

The first tulip almost blooming… I think I will go check on it now… although it is windy and chilly out there… not that 49 is chilly to some of you…

Philippians 3:8-14

What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of m own that comes form the law, but that which is through faith in Christ – the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

God is a God of restoration. God can and will restore your soul if you let Him into your life.

There is nothing that can keep you from God’s will in your life if you’re determined to have it.

If you know who you are in Christ, it won't matter so much to you what other people think.

God loves you. You’ve got what it takes. He is with you and for you.

Sometimes what we think is our problem is not our problem. Our problem is the way we respond to it.

We are in the world, but the Bible instructs us not to be like it.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you do not see things as they are. You see them as you are.

When you look, you see reflections of your being. When you listen, you hear echoes of yourself. If you don't like something about what you see and hear, no point in smashing the mirror, change who you are becoming.

Hebrews 5:7-9

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

Today work had ups and downs… I guess it is a transition from being off and then getting back into work… I had one call out and the other went home early sick… I took down signs that had been missed yesterday, did my scans, brought up carts of new stock and threw out garbage, received electronics, went to lunch, checked off an online training, finished receiving electronics, scanned for out of stocks, scanned for clearance and printed signs…

And I worked I overtime again… I need more day to my day… so much I need to get done at work and want to get done… and there just isn’t time to get it all done… and it’s not like I can get to it the next day as every day there is already a plan to the day…

I brought home boxes from work so hubby can work on the boy’s rooms and box up some toys they don’t use anymore…

Hubby called the ADT today and had his phone interview… He did well enough that he has a second interview in person on Monday…

Hubby is feeling discouraged though as it is a 100% commission position, soliciting door to door, out of your car… He wants a job in a building, punching a clock… I tell him there must be a reason God keeps sending him these same positions… And that since I had the accident and he has his new Jeep, that he can use if for his new job… they do give him a car allowance and another allowance but I forget what it was… there is a possibility for travel and they do not have a hotel allowance… I told him we’ll see how the interview goes on Monday… maybe he won’t get the job and he won’t have to worry… or maybe he will and maybe he’ll like it or make more money to pay our bills… God is up to something…

Son2 wrote a paper for class tomorrow that he has known about for over a month now… but he got it done…

Son3 got all his homework done before I got home today…

I heated up leftovers for dinner and I had some tomato soup… I did a load of laundry and brought in the garbage cans…

Watching Anamaniacs with the boys… now son3 is showering and hubby and I are watching Emergency…

Celebrate your victories and successes. We're all growing and on our way!

God really does want to take care of you, but you have to let Him and stop worrying about every little thing you can't control.

Don’t wait around waiting for God to do something that He’s already given you the power to do.

Live according to who you are, not according to how you feel.

You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you!

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

there are just two directions in life, - to shrink or to grow.

Every challenge is God's offer for you to grow, to enlarge your soul. You can take God's offer and become more, or you can shrink back, shy away and become less.

John 12:20-33

Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the Feast. They came to Philip who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request, Sir, they said, we would like to see Jesus. Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

Jesus replied, The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.  I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies. It remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!

Then a voice came from heaven. I have glorified it, and will glorify it again. The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

Jesus said, This voice was for your benefit, not mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world, now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself. He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

I was up early this morning at 2am… overdid it at work yesterday I think… those floor jacks are heavy… so after tossing and turning for a half hour with my leg and knees hurting I got up and took some Ibuprophen… I’ve been fine today though…

First thing this morning I got my Easter cards done… and hubby got the boys to school…

Hubby discovered this morning that he missed a call yesterday from ADT, calling about a job he applied to, for customer service representative, so he’ll call them back first thing tomorrow morning…

IMG_0003

Last year our neighbors planted poppies and now they grow all between our houses…

IMG_0005

They were blooming today…

IMG_0006

Hubby and I went to Target to get my bath soap that Walmart has been out of… and to check for hubby’s shampoo that we haven’t been able to find… I think he’ll have to check Walgreens…

IMG_0007

Then we went to the grocery store… Couldn’t find any ham for Easter dinner, but then they still had the corned beef displayed so maybe the hams haven’t come in yet… or we may just have turkey that we had extra from Thanksgiving…

IMG_0008

Son3 had early day and worked on homework all afternoon… he was planning out what he would do each day and what he would do today and when he would take a break and have a snack… he asked me if he was being organized and I told him he was…

IMG_0009

The roses are coming in so nice this year… last year they didn’t look so good and didn’t have many roses… I think they were feeling the mood of the house of hubby not working… That is one reason I think this year will be a good year as the yard is looking so much better than last year… So we must be feeling better and having a more positive attitude…

IMG_0010

IMG_0011

The tulips are almost ready to bloom…

IMG_0012

One of the first roses…

IMG_0013

The pumpkin is growing…

IMG_0014

Can you hear all the bees buzzing in the Japanese tree…

IMG_0015

I moved the birdhouses around to the vines so I can hang up my new decorations I got at the dollar store last year but I didn’t have time today…

IMG_0017

Hubby and I went for a walk around half the orchard while son3 was doing homework… and then hubby had to pick up son2…

The train was going by at the end of our walk…

I made Gorton’s fish for dinner… with corn on the cob, peas & carrots, white cheese pasta, stewed tomatoes and french bread with butter…

We watched Gravity Falls, How I Met Your Mother, Lost in Space…

Now hubby’s fixing me some pie with ice cream… the boys are having ice cream… and then we are watching Mike & Molly…

Then everyone is in their rooms by 9pm and asleep by 10pm… trying to get everyone back on a bedtime since the time change… we have all been staying up too late watching TV and then having to get up early…

We often make the mistake of thinking that if we hurry we will be at our future sooner, but it only causes us to lose the present.

Your beginning doesn't have to dictate your ending. Involve God in every area of your life and allow Him to lead you into rest.

Determine to live with purpose, to know who you are and Who you belong to. (Ephesians 2:10)

Whatever happens, trust in the Lord and trust in the power of hope! My hope is in God who never changes. Nothing is impossible with Him.

No matter what difficulty you encounter, "maintaining" the right attitude will be much easier than "regaining" the right attitude.
