June Twenty Fifth

IMG_0096

Another week gone by and I have not felt organized enough to post… Or by time I get to posting on my list, another day is over…

Pictures are from our trip to Monterey/Pacific Grove… Still more to come…

I close at work today and tomorrow… Day off not til Wednesday…

The boys are enjoying their summer vacation video gaming and watching movies… Have to remind them to shower and get dressed once a week… lol…

Son1 is busy as ever; work, girlfriend, friends, Jeep, never sits still…

Hubby is still not liking his new job but has brought in one client so far… Having to do the job from home as his work has no programs on the work computers in which to do the things they hired hubby to do…

Hubby is making pancakes, then time to get ready for work…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you do not see things as they are. You see them as you are. When you look, you see reflections of your being. When you listen, you hear echoes of yourself. If you don't like something about what you see and hear, no point in smashing the mirror, change who you are becoming.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are to let grace flow freely from your heart. Think back over the last few days, - how many times have you felt appreciation towards another? How many times have you thought about another: 'what a lovely smile', or 'she is so nice', or 'such a kind man', or any of a myriad of other appreciative thoughts. Did you express them? Did you come up to her and say: 'you are so nice'? And why not? Why did you stop divine grace from flowing freely from your heart? Do you want to change the world to the better? This is it, this is how you start.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that if you could see with the eyes of God, this world would be filled with goodness. Goodness is within you and every living being. Let your goodness shine.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that if you desire something, offer something. Offerings can come in many forms: a gift, a prayer, a smile, flowers, food. Offer something from your heart.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that it's never too late to get back on track. Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path that they cannot return to the right one. Never has anyone become so wayward that they cannot benefit from the true light.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that there is no such thing as conditional love. Love is either unconditional or it's no love. You might like someone conditional on their personality or behavior or circumstances. But love accepts no boundaries. So never say 'I love you because', for love has no cause, love comes from God.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that work begins when you don't like what you are doing. Little children can do the most amazing things with such joy and fun. You were little once too, and knew how to turn everything into a game. So, turn your work into a game, and you will find joy and satisfaction in it. What are some ways you can start being playful with work?

On this day, God wants you to know

... that no matter how good you try to be to others, you will occasionally hurt them. Forgive yourself for it. The same will happen with them. Forgive them for it.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are not alone. God is always with you, seen or unseen, saint or sinner. Giving you air, supporting your footsteps, nourishing you with sunshine, God is here with you. The separateness you sometimes feel is an illusion, in truth you are never alone.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that Love is the most important thing. It's not about how much you have, how much you know, or how much you do. It's about how well you love. Love is what matters most.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that God is there for you to hold on. Hold on to what is good, even if it's a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, even if it's a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, even if it's a long way from here. Hold on to your faith, even if it's easier to let go. Hold on to God's hand.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way. Happiness does not come from seeking new landscapes, but from having new eyes on the same life you've always been living.

On this day, God wants you to know

... wealth does not come from your bank account, wealth comes from the depth of your heart. What you really want is happiness. You might believe that a fat bank account will get you there, but that's false. Happy people are happy rich or poor, unhappy people are unhappy rich or poor. Money simply masks your real being by giving you activities to occupy your mind. Don't fool yourself, recession or not, your true wealth comes from your heart and is always only there.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that to love is to be vulnerable. Love is the opening of the heart, the welcoming of your beloved. Loving is not secure, authentic loving is risky. Security lies behind the walls of a closed heart. You either invite the union by opening in love, or you secure the isolation by closing down.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you've been missing out on delight that God has sent your way. Think back over the last day, - what could you have taken with delight that you just skipped over?

On this day, God wants you to know

... that every relationship rests on three legs: accepting, supporting and challenging. That's really it, isn't it? You want your relationships to be grounded on accepting each other as you are. On supporting each other through the inevitable ups and downs. On challenging each other to become more, to grow, to flourish. Which one of these is the more difficult one for you, and how are you going to practice it in the next 24 hours?
