Wolverine...

On Sunday I got off work early at 12:45pm and we went to see Wolverine! It was so good! We now know the story of how Wolverine came to be... Wolverine/Hugh Jackman bigger than life on the big screen the whole time... Liev Shrieber did a very good job as Sabretooth, I wasn't thinking he was a good choice before I saw the movie... I was looking forward to seeing Gambit, my second favorite XMen after Wolverine... I did not recognize the actor but he did a good job... I hope if they continue onto other XMen movies they will bring him back as Gambit... And Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, perfect choice as Deadpool never stops talking... and if you do happen to watch the movie, watch all the way to the end after the credits as there is an extra scene... And don't let the idea of the movie being based on a cartoon detour you from watching as they are all very nice to look at.... The boys think I am there just so they can see their movie, lol....

After the movie we stopped at the grocery store for a few things and got deli chicken family pack... Came home and watched Harry Potter 3, The Goblet of Fire... Got the boys in bed and hubby and I watched CSI NY... So I was movied out by then... Only a week or two more and all the shows are having their season finales... I'm glad as recording and watching all the shows and keeping up with Netflix movies is becoming a chore instead of enjoyment... I know by the middle of summer though I will be missing them again... My favorites: Castle, Reaper, Fringe, Criminal Minds, CSI NY, Smallville, Supernatural, Bones, CSI, Ghost Whisperer, Dollhouse, Terminator, Numbers and Harper's Island...
This has been another week of whirlwind work and school... However son3 is having STAR state testing so does not have homework for a couple of weeks... He does have a couple of projects coming though for the end of the year so today we have to go through magazines and such to look for pictures of five of his favorite things and five of his least favorite things... And then make a diorama of the rainforest that he has been bugging us and his teacher about that he wants to do now but she hasn't sent home all the instructions yet... So I told him we have the shoe box already and this weekend we will start getting together the things to put in the box... He also has to write a report on that one...

Son2 got his progress report yesterday and then a lecture... It's not that we expect straight A's and we accept C's if you tried as hard as you could... But son2 has been failing to do homework and just figures he'll make it (homework and the grade) up before the final report comes out... So I don't want to hear "I don't have homework", "it'll only take ten minutes", "it's not due yet", "it's only extra credit, I don't have to do it".... Construction, B+; Algebra, D; English, A+; Science, C; Computers 1, A; World Geography, A; Freshman Requirements (Health), C-; PE, A... He says in Health they don't do anything so there is no way to bring up his grade with homework and such... ?... and Algebra he says the whole school is getting a D... Really.... oh plus there are a few homework assignments he still needs to turn in and that will bring up his grade... unacceptable... and it's hard... ok that one is understandable... but ask for help...

Does this look familiar to anyone... I thought digital TV was the way of the future... then why is it when I put aluminum foil on my antenna like we did back in the 70's, that I get better reception... I had to move a chair out of the family room so no one would sit in it, cause every time they did they would mess up the picture reception... I so hope when it is all finally official that we get better reception and all the channels everyday, not just once in a while... and yes we bought the new digital antennas, but they got worse reception so we took them back.... but isn't it nice that the TV digital advertisement is counting down to my Birthday.... lol....
I'm off to tackle some things on my list... and have some quiet time before the boys are home from school...
Happy Journaling...
