Pictures from the Zoo when we went last week during the boy’s week of Spring Break…

IMG_0034

Yesterday was a fast day… the morning got away from me and it was time to go to work, so I didn’t have time to do an entry before I left…

IMG_0042

I don’t know what was with me this past week… I don’t know if it was the working early, menopause or the effects of the Gabapentin, but I have been so tired and out of sorts… I can’t remember anything or even think most of the time… I hope next week I’m more on top of things, especially at work…

IMG_0046

IMG_0047

IMG_0060

Like now I’m trying to remember what all happened yesterday and I can’t…

IMG_0061

Today we packed a picnic lunch of egg salad, tuna and peanut butter& jelly sandwiches and drove to Lewis Creek to hike to the waterfall…

IMG_0063

On the way home we stopped at the grocery store for deli chicken and ice cream…

The chicken was so good…

IMG_0079

IMG_0080

IMG_0109

Now we are watching The Game of Thrones, son3 is playing computer games, and we are waiting for ice cream…

IMG_0131

Tomorrow I have to be to work very early, again, to set the ad signing…

IMG_0134

Hubby is fixing the ice cream now… Would you like Cookies and Cream or Praline Pecan…

Challenge yourself to never give up. Even if you have days when you’re not very successful, keep believing. I think it makes the devil furious when we keep saying, “I believe that God is working and I am free.”

Great character is not developed through ease and convenience but through doing now what needs to be done no matter how difficult it is.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

when people tell you nice things, stop shrugging them off as if they are nothing.

The sincere compliments you receive are your jewels, - collect them in your heart, - they highlight the beauty of your being and empower you during challenging times. Never say 'oh, it's nothing' or shrug your shoulders when you hear a sincere compliment. Pause, breathe it in, and really feel its meaning.

Today’s pictures are from Easter… Since all the boys love Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch, we decided instead of chocolate bunnies that get left til Christmas, we would get them the cereal instead… Hubby made ears and put cotton balls on the back of the box… Son1 and DIL each got one too…

IMG_0029

I fell asleep early again last night before ten… and slept all the way til 5:30am without interruption… and still went back to sleep for another hour… so nice…

Today was a better day at work… I was grumpy yesterday… And the mood in the store was off since the district manager was in the store all day… Today I played in hardware all day, stocking the floor…

After work I picked up son2 from college…

IMG_0034

Son3’s new Pokémon movies…

IMG_0050

Be patient with yourself. It takes time to create habits, and you may not succeed everyday. -Joyce, "Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits"

God has given you free will, and that means you can decide to do what is right and nothing can stop you!

Take the time to form good relationships—with God, yourself and others. Good relationships make you happy.

You’re going to be happy when you make a decision to be happy, not when you feel like it

We all make mistakes. Admit it and don’t let a wrong decision control your future.

I am so tired… I guess I can’t handle these 6ams anymore… I can’t even keep my eyes open… Of course it doesn’t help that I wake up several times in the night due to hot flashes and then Indie scratching on the bedroom door as she wants to sleep in the bed too, but she won’t be still and starts scratching at the window to go outside…

Today was a ho hum day… It was probably just me in a mood but I couldn’t help feeling that all the associates were in a mood and it was causing a bad feeling in the air… I also didn’t get as much done as I wanted so that didn’t help… and the day seemed very long… and I didn’t feel well with a tummy ache…

Once home I took hubby for a walk around the orchard… I didn’t bring the camera this time and we saw a Falcon and a train went by…

We had leftover split pea soup and ham for dinner again…

I finished sorting the zoo pictures, I forgot I hadn’t shared them yet… Plus I still have Easter pictures and lots more flower pictures for my photo blog…

Hubby and I are watching TV… Emergency… Modern Marvels…

Son2 went for a walk… One of his Pokémon 3DS games is like a pedometer and as you accumulate steps, you accumulate points for things in the game…

I got over 8600 steps at work today and then a total of over 14000 after my walk with hubby…

Regular hours tomorrow at work so I get to sleep in a bit…

Easter candy is calling me but I already had seconds at dinner and pretzels for a snack when I got home from work… Trying to be better at eating since we have been being good at walking…

Still not getting anything done around the house… I’m off on Saturday but hubby wants to take the boys for a hike to the waterfall before son3 goes back to school…

Son1 went to visit Kona at the vet today… she was still weak and tired and has lost a lot of weight but she was up and around a bit and happy to see son1…

My bed is calling…

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

nothing is exciting if you know what the outcome is going to be.

You keep wanting to know how things will play out, keep asking to see the future. God doesn't give anyone the power to know the future, because life becomes maddeningly boring when you know everything upfront. So, instead of struggling, enjoy the uncertainty - to be alive means to not know.

I think I slept for ten hours last night… I fell asleep about ten and woke up about seven… and I am still tired…

These pictures are from our walk yesterday…

IMG_0041

Hubby got son2 to college this morning and made us hot chocolate…

Son3 got up early and was on his Minecraft game all day…

I checked Facebook and email…

I made split pea soup with ham…

I put away our goodies from the Easter Baskets and put away the Easter Baskets til next year…

Hubby and I showered and got ready to go grocery shopping and we still didn’t get out the door til after noon…

IMG_0042

Son1 called around noon… DIL had to take their dog Kona to the vet… Do you remember son1’s dog Pistol that he had gotten when he first moved in with us over three years ago… He was his first chocolate lab that he did not get shots for and he died from Parvo at five months… Kona is seven months and had all her shots, however he has brought her out and about too much and now she has gotten Parvo… This past weekend they let her run free in a field behind the house they were visiting for Easter… I’ve now realized that it is easy for puppies under one years old to get Parvo as they have not built up their immune system… So Kona is at the vet for the week… the vet says she has a 85% chance of recovering… only 50% if they brought her home without treatment… It is not going to be cheap but I rather son1 learn the lesson this time with money then loosing another chocolate lab… DIL was very upset this afternoon too… She missed work today and class tonight taking care of Kona… Son1 had to be at work today and tomorrow… Tonight they are bleaching everything in the house so Kona will be able to come back home at the end of the week to a Parvo free home… Danny is fine as he is older…

IMG_0045

Hubby and I went to Walmart for toilet paper, cat food, cat litter, flea collars, toothpaste…

IMG_0048

Here’s the bunny we say… don’t know if it’s the same one from the day before…

IMG_0050

Then we went to the grocery store… On the way out of the grocery store I noticed a sign that said now taking applications, pick one up at the front desk… So hubby did… I can’t believe they still give out paper applications… hubby said there was a pile already turned in… but he will fill his out and turn it in tomorrow…

IMG_0054

Then we came home and put away the groceries, son1 called, hubby picked up son2, son1 stopped by to borrow the carpet cleaner and was on his way home to get cleaning with all his cleaning supplies from Walmart…

I heated up the split pea, heated up a frozen pizza and cut the french bread for dinner…

We watched Castle and are now watching Modern Marvels: Big and Small…

I didn’t get anything done around the house today… I really need to clean the kitchen and the bathrooms… I did do two loads of laundry, still need to put it away…

I also got a Nora Robert book in the mail today, but I goofed…

9780373281510

These two books I bought at the used book store a few months back… I read the one above first, it’s two books in one… Then I read the one below as it’s also two books in one…

IrishHearts

When I got to the end of this one it said read the third installment in the trilogy… so I got excited and went online to Walmart and ordered Irish Rebel…

9780373281510

Today this came in the mail… I was like wait a minute, what did I do… So I looked at the books and realized instantly what I did… but didn’t realize it when I was reading them…

Irish Dreams contains: Irish Rebel and Sullivan’s Women… Irish Hearts contains: Irish Thoroughbred and Irish Rose… When I bought them I didn’t realize they went together and I read them backwards so when I finished it I wasn’t thinking of the other book just that there was a next one… Although I didn’t recognize the cover when I was ordering it… So now I have two copies as I only paid five dollars for the two at the half price book store and then five dollars for the one that came today… Plus the shipping and then more shipping to send it back, so I’ll just keep it or give it to someone someday…

Meanwhile I have found another trilogy at Nora Roberts website to look for at the half price book store next time we go… Stars of Mithra Series…

Now it’s almost time for bed… Early to work again tomorrow… I ate too many jelly beans tonight… Ugh… I need water…
