Easter Eve

I’ve been busy at my new job… I had Wednesday off and then this weekend… The boys have been on Spring break all week and next week too… The kittens are getting so big already…

I go to work, come home and make dinner, watch TV, go to bed and do it all again the next day… Throw in a load of laundry here and there… Seem to be getting more sleep, but so tired… maybe I’m getting too much sleep… Slowly getting into a routine at work… So much to do, the day goes so fast… May 12th all the shoe leads will come to my store for a training seminar… and then in June we will all be certified in our own stores… I will have to have my department ready both times…

Hubby has been busy with the boys at home for Spring break so not too much job applying at the moment… I did find him a few to apply at once he gets a moment… I’ve been feeling a bit apprehensive that he hasn’t found something yet… But I know he will when it is meant to be…

We are watching Bones and Angel and son2 has brought me a root beer float…

Son2 has still been having tennis on Spring break as not all the school districts are on break at the same time… still enjoying his break too by playing video games…

Son3 still all about the video games and has a diorama to build by May 20th… He is also getting wise to all this Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy thing… but I’m able to keep the boys going way into their teens… Son3 also lost a tooth recently, although I thought he was done losing all his teeth… he’s almost ten… he said hubby and I were the ones who made the baskets and that we put the money under his pillow… I continue with the illusions however, cause it’s more fun… the older boys know the truth now but also keep the illusion going… hubby and I will probably still wait for Santa and the Easter Bunny long after the boys grow up… lol…

Still waiting for son1 to move back home… his roommate is very upset with him right now and making things a bit difficult by not helping get himself set up for when son1 moves out… so afraid son1 may just have to leave and let the roommate figure it out on his own… son1 has covered his basis with the apartment complex already… just needs to sort out his storage and move out of the apartment… another week or so… he and girlfriend went to the rodeo with friends last night… and tonight are visiting with his Dad’s side of the family… we may see them for a bit tomorrow afternoon for Easter…

Today son2 and son3 were a bit grumpy with each other as one week of spring break together is enough and then being too excited for Easter coming too… Got them settled, sent hubby out to work in the yard and I got busy cleaning… as I’ve not done a bit of cleaning with the new job… I did a couple loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed, cleaned the boy’s bathroom, cleaned up after the kittens, filled the bird feeders, pruned the roses and cooked the ham for tomorrow… hubby colored the eggs with the boys… son1 stopped by waiting for girlfriend to meet up with him to go visiting with relatives… I made fried eggs and steak for dinner… I’ve finished my root beer float and we’re watching Angel… I still have all the laundry from the week to sort and put away… and get ready for the Easter Bunny…

Happy Easter…

April Twenty Third

On this day, God wants you to know

... that God is glad that you are You. Sure, we all have things we want to change, to improve about ourselves. But underneath the flesh and bone, you are an immortal and perfect soul. Always remember that.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that change is the very nature of life, - welcome it. No glass ever became sand again; No bread ever became wheat; No ripened fruit ever became a flower. Welcome change, and choose what kind of glass you create, what kind of bread you bake, what kind of fruit you harvest.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you've been driving yourself too hard lately. Sure, there is time to invest yourself fully into work, but there is equally important time for joyful resting. And for you, this time is now. What is the absolutely most wonderful little treat you can give yourself? Do it today.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that there are appropriate times to stand in your power. Power isn't always evil. If you stand tall in the power of goodness, you can have a powerful impact on a situation.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are blessed. You may think you have challenges, but you have so many blessings. Sometimes it takes only a moment of conscious effort to recognize those blessings. Once you focus on the gifts instead of the problems, your whole perspective will change and you will see blessings everywhere.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that working together is good. We are meant to support one another in this world. Let go of the feeling that you have to do everything alone. Ask someone if they want to join you.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that today is a big day for you. Yes, today. Keep your eyes open for a message. It might come in a shape of a bird flying overhead, or a graffiti on a wall, or a phrase said by a passerby, or... Whatever shape it has, this message has been trying to reach you for years, and today is finally the day. Keep your senses open.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you've been talking to God too much, and not listening enough. Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you become quiet and listen to God. You've learned how to talk and ask well. Time to learn how to listen and hear, because God has been answering you.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that letting go makes you wealthier. Wealth is never measured by what you have, but by what you can give away. You are rich with money when you can afford to donate. You are rich with love when you can give love freely. You are rich with God when you can behold your enemy with compassion.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are asked for very little, - just the totality of your being. God demands the totality of your being. That you invest all of yourself into celebrating the glory and the preciousness of being alive right now, no holding back and saving for later.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that your soul wants the freedom to sing, dance, love. As your body needs nourishment - food, drink, sleep, so does your soul need nourishment - sing, dance, love. Life is not all work, work is not all hard toil. Nourish your soul with the food that is right for it, for it is the altar of your own inner temple.
