Yay!! Inventory is over for another year!! Yesterday wasn’t too bad… Actually I spent most of the day doing nothing as we had brought in more shoe associates then we had counters in our area… in the morning they announced everyone to take a break and my co workers looked at me and said what is Linda gonna do, she never goes on break, lol… we just went outside for a few minutes to look at the rain and then it was time to go back… lunch everyone was on their own and I did my regular read my book in the break room… I’m reading the third book now in Stephen King’s Dark Tower series… I’m enjoying it even more now then the first time I read it… The store finished inventory about 1:15pm which left us another forty five minutes to do nothing as we were off at 2pm… still haven’t heard how the numbers came out… and wondering if they will announce the new shoe lead tomorrow or on Monday…

luckyday

So today I was off… I spent the day reading blogs, visiting everyone on facebook and just relaxing… Son3 had to be at school an hour early to go on his mission field trip to San Juan Bautista… they had a a charter bus that played a Tom and Jerry movie and Monsters Inc… we’ve already picked him up and he said he had a good day… his homework from yesterday is not due til tomorrow so we don’t have any homework tonight, just reading…

Hubby had his Macy’s interview today… He was there and back in just over an hour… He felt good about the interview in that he is getting in practice on interviewing again… on getting a job, hard to tell… they are hiring for fulltime/part time/on call… and various departments… only asked him what departments he would like to work in… they will notify by email their decision…

I made corned beef today with potatoes and green beans… hubby is now making a lemon pudding cake… son2 is off on his first away tennis match… we are just waiting for a call to pick up when he gets back to his school…

we have been watching season one of Angel… It is so good… the boys love it too…

Son1 came over on Tuesday and Wednesday night to work on his Jeep… installed a stand on the hood to hold his jack… a lot of drilling and cutting and measuring and going back to the store before he was done… he’s proud of it though… so he ate dinner with us and raided the pantry for snacks in between…

Now I’m off to read with son3… we’re reading the second book of the Wimpy Kid… I’ve started a list or schedule of sort of how to get things done around the house… for lent I’m trying to break out of the routine I’ve established and get in a better one… this week was sort of on hold with inventory and hubby’s interview… now hurry up son2 and get home so we can eat corned beef and watch more Angel… and then Bones comes on tonight… work tomorrow will just be set the ad, open boxes from the truck that came today and reset the men’s shoes…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that it is time to finally forgive yourself. You've carried the guilt, the shame for long enough. You've kept your wounds open for long enough. The time has come to let go, to heal. Keep the lessons and let the pain heal. Yes, you know what we are talking about.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are perfect as you are. God doesn't create faulty life. No. Everything created by God is perfect, and so are you. So stop driving yourself mad with endless ways to improve, and just accept the glory of your being as is.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that the way you know you have found the right one is the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with the person. Having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. - a quote by Dinah Craik

March Thirteenth

On this day, God wants you to know

... that decision is only wishful thinking until you take that first irreversible step. You can tell yourself that you have already decided, that nothing now can stop you, but if that step backwards is so much safer than step forwards, what will hold you true to your path when the going gets tough? Sometimes, the right thing to do is to take that first irreversible step, the one after which you cannot go back. And now, for you, is one of those times.

Above is the posting for today and below is yesterdays… Still so right on target with what we are dealing with… still waiting for them to make a decision/announcement on who got the shoe lead position… Inventory is Wednesday… will be so glad when that is over with… so I have Thursday off this week… which is good… cause it’s St Patrick’s Day and I can make corn beef… and son3 has his field trip to the mission… and hubby has his interview at Macy’s…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that tonight you can turn your worries to God, and have a good night's sleep. You've been worrying too much about the future lately. So tonight, go ahead, put your faith in God, and just have a peaceful evening and a restful sleep.

The pictures below are from when hubby and I went to feed the birds around March 9th… I have more that I will have to make a smilebox slideshow of… there were lots of seagulls being their greedy seagull selves…

I am so tired from having to get up at 5am this morning which was actually 4am old time… and I will continue to do this all week til I get used to the time change… but I am loving that it is 7pm and the sun is still up…

Son1 came over yesterday to visit for a minute… and then came over with girlfriend today to do his laundry and change her brakes on her car… and son1 was adding more gadgets to his jeep, lights and such… and he printed out his taxes… tomorrow I will apply stamps and get them in the mail for him… they stayed for dinner and just left a bit ago… hubby has gone off to get me gas for the week… and I am trying to get the boys, mostly son2 off the video games and into the showers… as the time change will effect them more tomorrow having to get up for school…

Last night we finally watched Life as we Know it… it was funny and sad and very good… we have one more Bones to watch on this disc tonight and they can go back to Netflix tomorrow…

Hubby changed the flow of the bricks from going to the fence to allow for drain off to rounding out the patio… the dirt area he will cement to finish off the patio…

The alyssum and bulbs are coming up…

The non fruit bearing flowering pear tree is in full bloom…

The left over bricks from redirecting the flow of the patio that hubby will use to trim off this part of the yard… he has since brought more from the front yard where he is changing the look of the yard border under the front window… since he got his unemployment extension and we are getting a bit back from taxes I have given him the go ahead to finish a couple of projects he had started that don’t cost much to finish… I may even have him get a couple of cans of paint so he can paint a bit in the house… it so needs it after eleven years of boy’s fingerprints…

Son3 is in the shower but not son2, so off to wrangle up some boys… I want to have a bit of ice cream, watch Bones and crash for the night so we can get up and do it all again tomorrow…
