Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

We are so busted, lol... Hubby came home two hours early since work was so slow... and here me and the boys are, still on the computers and no chores done... well I did a couple of loads of laundry, filled the bird feeders and trimmed the roses... and tried on my new work clothes that came in the mail... everything fit, some a little big even, so will order the smaller size next time...

I put out my new mushrooms that I got for Mother's Day in the yard today... So what's everyone doing for the holiday weekend... we have to work... well hubby worked today and I was off, but then I work Sunday and Monday and hubby is off... of course he will be doing homework with the boys... son3 has a diorama and report due on the rain forest and son2 has a report due on he doesn't know what yet until he reads the paper... Sunday at work I have to set the ad but with a new process and a new associate starting and Monday we have to do the new counting process again but it should be better this time as we are the only store in our district doing it, so the handheld will be quicker... so both days I go in early and get off around 2pm... so still the afternoon to enjoy the holiday...

The Indian Blankets are coming up!! they grow so slow though...

And the pumpkins are coming up... so maybe this year we will have pumpkins by Halloween...

Otherwise not much this week... well except son2 was goofing around with his friends and scratched his back at school and went to the nurses office... but he was well enough to go to his friend's swimming after school... and son3 didn't quite make it to the end of the year without going to the vice principle's office this week... he was dared by some other boys in his class to do something you shouldn't do at school... I am so hoping these boys are not in his class next year, he's had them for two years now and every time son3 gets in trouble, their names come up... so we will be changing classes next year if they are...
Son2 is doing chores and son3 has been sent to his room to learn how to clean it... I'm off to clean the kitchen and broil pork chops for dinner... and put away all the laundry... and clear up some paper piles... and put the school projects on the table so hubby will know where everything is for homework tomorrow... Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum, Battle for the Smithsonian came out this weekend but we haven't even seen Star Trek yet... We have Paul Blart: Mall Cop to watch tonight...

Emergency

Does anyone remember this show... Did you watch it... I remember being on the school bus and a petition going around to keep the show on the air, lol.... I still love this show... Son2 and I are watching it on Netflix... We've finished season 6 and are now on season 5... yes, we're going backwards... It also comes on the retro channel here at 3pm... We can sit and watch up to three episodes at a time online... I don't know what it is... it's just such a calming show... it has heroes... everyone is always rescued... no one rarely dies... it's funny... the characters are all so familiar... so many of the episodes I remember seeing before... it was just such a simpler time....

May Day!

This month is flying... This whole year is flying faster then the past ones if that is possible... Wasn't it just Valentine's Day... Hubby hasn't even had a chance to redeem his coupons yet, lol... and Easter seems like just a couple of weeks ago... but yet we have already had Mother's Day and now are heading for Father's Day... Three weeks from tomorrow the boys will be done with school for the summer... I haven't even organized a plan for my New Year's resolutions yet...

And here it is Wednesday again... my day off... my morning of me time... of course I always have a day's worth of plans for the morning and a week's worth of plans for the day...

This past week we saw 106 degrees... Now we are back in the 90's... of course it is a cool 77-78 in the house with the air conditioner... although it is always 78 in the house and yet it could be 74 or so outside...

I finished reading my Nora Roberts book: Trilogy; Born in Fire, Born in Ice, Born in Shame... Oh! it was so good!! I did not want it to end... Actually Born in Shame did end too soon, as we did not get to go to Murphy and Shannon's Wedding... nor hear more about Shannon's paintings or what children they had... But there was Maggie, the artist who blew glass who married Rogan the gallery owner, and she was pregnant with their second child... And Shannon, the owner of a bed and breakfast with the beautiful garden who married Grayson the author of suspense books, who she had a daughter with... The stories take place in Ireland in which you feel you are there the way Nora tells a story.... I want to go... I just wish I knew how to paint or draw.... hubby is the artist in our house... but then I wish I could be as good a housekeeper or cook as Shannon was in her B&B... lol...

Son3 is back to homework after our break for their testing... this week's spelling words so far: multiply, fiction, whole, narrow, private, silly, different, vertical, always, enter... We finished the pictures from magazines project... of course I went way beyond the ten pictures she requested but then she only chose five and sent the rest home... son3 and hubby still have to make the diorama but the teacher hasn't sent home any instructions on what the report should entail... Son2 still of course continues to not have homework... but he'll have finals coming up soon...

Work has been frustrating... we've finally got to the point where we are caught up and finally getting into a routine of sorts when they introduce this new process we have to do... each Monday we have to count one department in shoes... this week was athletics... so of course on Monday the entire Nation counted causing the devices to run so slow that it took 13 seconds to scan each shoebox... it took three of us twelve hours to count the department of course leaving no time to work the report... we were finally able to access the report yesterday but with days off we won't see the report til tomorrow... of course any updates to the report had to be done on Monday at the end of counting... hopefully next week this goes better.... hmmmmm... otherwise my 9-5 days are seeming way too long... I so have spring fever and just want to be home playing... three weeks til vacation....

I have not been organized with chores and dinners this past week.... we've picked up chinese and pizza a couple of days... last night was leftover chinese and if you were tired of that then cereal... We're almost finished with all the season finales... We watched all the Harry Potters, so are ready for when the new movie comes out in July... And we started watching Season 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer... son3 is really liking it... he likes scary movies that he is able to watch cause they are not too scary, plus he likes all the fighting action scenes...

The laundry and dishes await me... I do think I am all caught up on the computer today so I just may get to read some blogs... :) and homework with son3... and make a decent meal for dinner tonight... and I still haven't made that chocolate cake....
