April Tenth and Eleventh and Twelfth

Wednesday at work I did my scans, updated my counts, went to lunch, had the manager on duty phone, stocked two things on the floor and went home…

Son3 had already finished his homework by time I got home… I told everyone to fix what they wanted for dinner: leftovers, potpies, soup, etc…

We are now hooked on Chicago Fire and watched several episodes…

Yesterday I had a day off…

Hubby got the boys off to school and college… Son2 didn’t go to his first class and his second was cancelled but we still drop him off when son3 goes so that son2 is on our schedule since he has not learned to drive and will not take the city bus… besides he can sit around at school and play games the same as he does at home… he hangs out in the school lounge between classes…

Hubby and I had breakfast, watched Joyce Meyer and went to the grocery store…

Son3 came home from school and had a bit more homework yesterday and hubby picked up son2 from college…

I made pasta and meatballs for dinner, son2 helped, and by time son3 finished homework it was 7pm by time we ate…

We watched more Chicago Fire, studied for son3’s Geology test and went to bed…

Today I close…

Hubby got son3 off to school and son2 is up…

I am in such a mood this week… I can’t seem to shake it.. Ever since hubby had his interview…

Of course it could just be my grumpy week and who knows how menopause is going to effect me…

I’m just so frustrated with my control of time and chasing the day…

At home and at work…

I did not attempt to anything at home yesterday as I tried just to have a day off but I wasn’t relaxed due to my mood…

This morning I went through all my work binders/papers and threw out a bunch of papers and have a pile of what needs to be done by tomorrow…

Tonight I have to reset the hammers, count a list of old merchandise, check that the ad is finished being set from this morning, check my email/online task list, one price change, lunch, manager on duty phone and store closing procedures… I have more to do but I’ll put those on tomorrow’s list…

My hips and back hurt when I got up this morning but I took my Gabapentin and Ibuprofen and I’m feeling better… I need a day to call out but my closing night is not the day to call out, who would close the store…

I’m off to take a nice hot shower, straighten up a bit and get ready for work…

Let's be as forgiving of others as we are of ourselves.

Jesus didn’t come to set us partially free from sin. He died to set us completely free!

You may be tempted to try to fix everything that is wrong overnight, but that is impossible. Any bad habits you have were developed one at a time, and they will be broken one at a time.

Fear is the greatest enemy of your future.

You are as close to God as you choose to be.

Think about what you have been thinking about and you may find the source of some of your discontent. –Joyce

God never called us to be busy. He called us to be fruitful.

Change takes time, but it’s time well spent because it brings a great reward. -Joyce, "Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits"

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here." -2 Corinthians 5:17

When you pray are you genuinely crying out to God or are you just talking to hear yourself speak?

It’s not what we do once that brings victory in our lives; it’s what we do over and over again.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

today is going to be a great day.

Don't start your day with a negative attitude. It's hard to understand why so many people wake up each morning feeling defeated when each day holds so much potential. The possibilities that today offers are endless, so eagerly anticipate wonderful happenings. It's easy to let blessings go by unnoticed if you're not looking.

April Eighth & Ninth

Yesterday I got all my counts and scans done… Went to lunch and stocked the floor…

I even left work a few minutes early since I left so late on Sunday…

I got gas on the way home…

Son3 only had a bit of homework…

I made fish and chips for dinner…

We watched The Bible and See Dad Run…

I skipped blogging and just relaxed for the evening…

Today I was off…

I had a list a mile long…

Hubby got the boys to school…

I spent some time on the laptop…

We talked a while…

Hubby wandered the house…

I was distracted by hubby…

All because he had an interview today at 1:30…

I got more done while he was at his interview…

I vacuumed, did five loads of laundry, cleaned off the island, washed the counters and the stove, washed all the pots and pans and ran the dishwasher, watered the plants, put all the laundry away and made stir fried teriyaki pork with onions, bell peppers, squash and zucchini over white rice…

Hubby came back from his interview all jazzed… he is one of nine people being interviewed… he really likes this job as it is in a office, Monday-Friday, 8-5…

We went for a walk around the orchard…

Son3 had a bit more homework as they are getting ready for state testing again so he brought home sample tests to practice with…

Hubby picked up son2 who found out today from a friend that the paper he waited til tomorrow to write was due today, not Thursday, so he wrote it during his break and even skipped a class to finish writing it as it was his last class…

We finished the last bit of The Bible and now we are watching the first episode of Chicago Fire and wondering why we waited so long to start this show that has been filling up the DVR… And eating Easter Candy, except son2 who is eating Christmas Candy… Son3 is in the shower…

Son1 and DIL got to bring home their dog Kona today from the vet…

Break the habit of saying “I don’t have time.” -Joyce, "Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits"

The experts say it takes twenty-one to thirty days to make or break a habit, so every day you keep going and refuse to give up brings you one day closer to freedom!

Focus on what God is focused on. Make a decision to get rooted and grounded in the love and Word of God.

God wants us to love Him for who He is, not what He can do for us.

We are overcomers through Him who overcame.

Be the person God wants you to be—all the time.

It is time to renew your mind and become the person God wants you to be in every area of life. -Joyce, "Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits"

Even when we are faithless, God remains faithful. (Romans 3:3-4)

Don’t let bitterness, resentment or anger against someone take root in your life. It could be stopping you from your breakthrough!

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you are strongest when you are humble.

Only the weak act with arrogance. They put their pride on display so that others may think they are powerful. But those with great strength are humble because they have no need to prove it.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you don’t need to know all the answers.

When you don't know what to do, stop, breathe and reflect before making a decision. Allowing some time to pass may give you a different perspective on your situation.

What a busy, busy day at work…

We had to set the ad signing and Craftsman Days started today and a special Shop Your Way Member day…

I had help but just too much to get done…

Then I had manager duty after lunch and I was super busy with calls while still trying to put up the signs…

I ended up staying forty five minutes of over time…

Once home I told hubby of my day as we walked about the backyard and took pictures of the roses…

And then we heated up leftovers for dinner…

We are now watching the second to the last episode of The Bible…

I forgot to mention that on Friday hubby got a call from the company he interviewed with by phone on the day that son3 went to the doctors for his splinter… They called late on Friday and hubby missed the call so he will call them first thing tomorrow… It’s been six weeks already since he had the phone interview… we had figured they had picked someone else at this point…

Tomorrow son3 is back at school… Just two months of school left…

I am back at work early tomorrow…

Trusting God brings life. Believing brings rest. So stop trying to figure everything out, and let God be God in your life.

I recommend slowing down! If you are living in the fast lane of life just remember that is where most of the wrecks take place. –Joyce

Make a decision to say, "God has given me today. I will rejoice and be glad in it."

it is okay to ask for help.

You were not meant to go through this journey alone. Ask for help. There is strength in togetherness.
