September Fourteenth

Lazy Saturday…

I slept in til 5:30am… that’s sleeping in since I get up at 3:30-4:30am all week…

Hubby made breakfast this morning of omelets…

Son2 slept over at his friends… but son3 was here to talk about his week at school…

Hubby and I went to Walmart to get him some pants for his new job…

We stopped at Big Lots, 99 Cent Store and Dollar Store but not much Halloween to be found… not even at Walmart… but Christmas was found in all of them…

Heating up leftovers for dinner from the week and seeing what is on the DVR to watch…

The boys and I are ready for dinner… Where is that hubby…

Make decision tonight to never again say anything negative about yourself out of your own mouth.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

suffering is just as important as well-being.

Like a tree accepts all seasons, accept your suffering with grace. Good days, like sunshine, will help you bloom and prosper. Hard days, like storms, will make you strong and resilient.

September Thirteenth

Every day I open Live Writer and paste God wants you to know in my blog… but then I get distracted all over the place and don’t write an entry in my blog…

But I’m thinking that is about to change…

Because as of right now hubby is at WORK today for his first day… He has training for the whole day at his new job… after training, his hours will be evenings, part time, Monday-Friday… probably not every night… but at least three nights a week he will be at work… and I can have a bit of me time after getting the boys focused on their tasks…

Hubby will be working at Office Max in the copy center, like at his old job… so he is very excited to get a job finally in his field… It has been a long but quick three years of him not being at work… Unemployment was a life saver but even that had to come to an end… and then in stepped God with a plan all along of hubby getting a call for an interview in the same week that unemployment ended…

So hubby is very happy and I am very happy for him… for us…

I am no longer a supervisor at my job… once again changes were made and jobs eliminated.. so I stepped down to an associate back in kids… others chose the severance package… I always seem to go back around to kids… it’s where I started thirty three years ago… I’m loving it… I was way stressed in hardware/electronics… more than I wanted to admit… but I’m committed and a hard worker… I’ve noticed the last couple days in kids I have been letting myself get stressed as I am not getting as much done as I would like… but that is just me putting pressure on myself… need to step back and remember to have fun… I’m loving stocking and setting the floor and the ad set is so easy compared to hardware… and I have early morning hours so I can be home for the boys when hubby goes to work and he’s there for them during the day… see God always knows what he’s doing…

So I have lots of plans of getting projects done while hubby is back to work… but I know it will not all happen at once… baby steps… and more sleep… I am still not used to being back at the 6am hours and find myself falling asleep at 7pm… I was spoiled with the supervisor hours of coming in late and staying late and sleeping in all the time…

Haven’t heard from son1… he’s busy with work and his apprenticeship schooling… DIL is graduated from beauty school now…

Son2 has been learning to drive after renewing his driver’s permit… he’s in no hurry to drive and is a bit nervous… but is able to drive home from school now when hubby picks him up… and he even drove us around on errands last week…

Son3 is loving middle school but continues to not embrace homework like I wish he would… he is already struggling in two classes because of missing work… Pre Algebra and Science… and yet the boy who I can’t get to read a book has a 9th grade reading level on his Star Testing and is getting an A in English… they are reading Ricki Ticki Tavi… He signed up for the chess club and for after school music to learn to play the violin…

Son2 bought he and son3 fish…

Son1 got one fish to start…he named him Waldo, so he can say where’s Waldo…

And son1 got three Tequila Sunrise Delta Guppies…

They are going back to the pet store tomorrow to get another for son3 as they are community fish and his is lonely and son2 wants two more in a different color/kind…

So far Holly is the only cat who has discovered the fish…

Putting chicken enchiladas in the oven… I made fish last night… On the evenings hubby works, I’m thinking soup or cereal, lol…

As you can see below we are finally, hopefully done with triple digit temperatures…

Next week new fall shows are starting…

Time to straighten up and fix dinner… I’m sure hubby will be tired from not being used to being out and about socializing in a work environment… Plus filling his mind all day with computer training is tiring in itself…

We spend way too much time looking at what others do when we need to be running to God to find out what He wants us to do.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

each day is an adventure for you to discover.

Face each day without fear or expectation. Experience to the fullest whatever comes your way. It is as God meant it to be.

Logo3

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

it's okay to receive.

Have you been the giver for so long that you have forgotten how to receive? Allow others to give you some of the love that you give so freely. Seek a balance between your giving and your receiving.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

as you surrender to divine providence in your life, you will feel lifted and carried and held.

Logo3

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

God sees you as you truly are, - a holy child of light:

I see you strong and whole. I see you blessed and prospered. I see you courageous and confident. I see you capable and successful. I see you free from all limitations or bondage of any kind. I see you as the spiritually perfect being you truly are.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

acting in anger never helps.

As time passes, the reason for your anger will fade. But the things you do in anger will stay with you forever as regrets.

Logo3

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you don't have to be serious to be spiritual.

Laughter is good! Levity is good! When you allow yourself to be joyful, that joy radiates to all those around you. God honors you and your laughter.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

each day is sacred.

If you are spending too many days doing things that bring you unhappiness, then you are not honoring the gift of your time on earth.

Logo3

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

there are countless ways to love God.

Love God through love for your parents. Love God through love for your spouse. Love God through love for your children. Love God through love for your friends. Love God through love for your country. For God is in all these and much, infinitely, more.
