John 11:1-53

Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair. So the sisters sent word to Jesus, Lord, the one you love is sick.

When he heard this, Jesus said, This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory is that God’s Son may be glorified through it. Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.

Then he said to his disciples, Let us go back to Judea.

But Rabbi, they said, a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you and yet you are going back there?

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by da will not stumble. For he sees by this world’s light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles. For he has no light.

After he had said this, he went on to tell them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.

His disciples replied, Lord if he sleeps he will get better. Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.

So then he told them plainly, Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.

Then Thomas, called Didymus, said to the rest of the disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

Today has been such a wonderful day…

We slept in til 8am… watched Joyce Meyer, showered and had the boys up by 10am… they slept in the family room for the night…

Hubby made fried eggs and ham to go with the pancakes he made yesterday…

Hubby and I went to the 99cent Store to get a few more Easter goodies…

On the way home we stopped at McDonalds for Shamrock shakes and drank them at the park…

Once home we checked on the boys…

Son2 has been cleaning his room…

Son2 was cleaning his room and trading toys with son3… Son2 gave son3 all his Corp guys and vehicles for some of son3’s action figures… son2 also gave son3 all his Hot Wheel cars…

I put the corned beef and potatoes on the stove and hubby and I went for a walk around the orchard by our house…

I did a bit of laundry and filled the birdfeeders…

I was hoping to get the Easter cards done today but as long as they are in the mail by Wednesday…

The kids use it to cut through to get to the middle school… others ride their bicycles, dirt bikes, quads, motorcycles, etc… while others walk their dogs…

Some people dump their garbage… furniture, mattresses, wood, appliances and we saw a bra…

IMG_0033

And lots and lots of tires… most of the tires were in the trees… we weren’t sure if there was a reason for a tire to be in every tree or just kids playing…

Joyce Meyer Ministries

The Bible says the truth sets us free (John 8:31-32). We need to be honest with others about what's going on inside us.

Keep a good attitude no matter what is going on in your life. (Col. 3:12)

Your goal shouldn’t be to get your way, but to remain stable no matter what comes your way.

Glad you had a great Sunday, Linda. It does sound relaxing! I like how son2 and son3 were exchanging toys; the finished room for son3 came out great!

hoping today was a good one!
