November Fifth…

fvbirdhouse

I went back to work today… Still not myself, bit teary eyed… think it is hormones causing me to react to the situation at hand of hubby not working and holidays coming… and eat too much… but think I am feeling the will to not eat coming back as I am feeling yucky after eating, too full and bloated, instead of comforted…

At work today I set the ad, rescanned in the kids shoes in the stockroom and cleared a whole section of athletic shoes in the stockroom to make room for women’s shoes… and the day was over…

Hubby did get two calls and two emails from a company he applied at for outside sales but turns out it is one of those companies that even though legit, it is work your own hours and pay is full commission, by selling a product to other companies… sorry we are looking for a time card punching job with hourly pay… all this online job applying is making me leery of which companies are legit and which are not so much… even though they all advertise at the job search engines like JobMonster…

Son1 only had to work his full time job today, then he and hubby set the timing on the Jeep but by time he got to the smog place they had closed early even though the guy had told him what time to come in…. so he wasn’t happy… nor was girlfriend that they were going to dinner and he was taking time to take care of the Jeep… hope they are having a good evening…

Son2 got his progress report today… PE~A, Anatomy~B, English 3~B-, US History~B, Geometry~A+, Zoology~B-, Home Economics~A, Draw&Paint~A… Son3 got a 95% on his Spelling Test today… They are both glad it is Friday today and the weekend has arrived…

Son1 got son2 an early Christmas present… He found him a bigger hard drive on Craig’s list for son2’s XBox so now he has more memory for all his games… actually he called two different people. The first person called and he spent the hour between his jobs yesterday going to purchase it, but then the second person called with a better deal so he went and bought that one too after his second job… so now he will sell the first one back on Craig’s list… He even put it in a gift bag to surprise son2…

I have been clicking around on the laptop since getting home, not doing much… hubby made dinner, I pulled out the leftovers… we watched The Big Bang Theory and William Shatner’s show… Now we are watching Smallville and Supernatural… Then I’m ready for sleeping and sleeping in…

Today I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips and salsa… dinner~pasta, scalloped potatoes, squash, zucchini, top ramen chicken soup, water… and I have been eating chocolate covered raisins for the last couple of nights…

Pedometer: over 9000 steps…

it will be a different holiday this year, but it will still be a great holiday because you guys will be together! Think of fun and different things you guys can do together to help make memories to carry you through the season. Making cookies, homemade decorations, even giving a gift for a child that has nothing, etc. I think it can be a blessing to downsize on holiday giving (though I did get son's Christmas list tonight, LOL :)

congrats to son2 for his good grades and son3 too!!

remember your blessings, truly you are blessed, healthy kids, home to live in, food to eat, etc :)

I have probably gain 15-20 pounds in this last year.I think I mostly eat out of boredom..Need to stop that.lol
I don't feel comfortable in any of my clothes..I need to get motivated.
That was so nice of son1 to get the early gift for his brother:)
Good luck to hubby with the job hunting. I know it must be hard for all of you.

Hi Linda, Keeping fingers crossed here for that perfect job for the Mister. And I agree with Betty...this might be the most special Christmas time your family has ever had. You'll all be together in your lovely home & that's what matters most. Hugs Linda up here

A great big hug and prayers for you Linda. Hormones and financial worries are both things I can understand. Good that the boys are doing well in school!
