September Thirteenth

Hubby talked with the doctor yesterday... they had a good talk and hubby feels good about the doctor doing the surgery... the doctor has done both procedures over ten years, we just don't have the robotic equipment at our hospital... and there is a smaller chance of incontinence after the first year with the open surgery vs robotic... hubby asked him about radiation pellets that his boss’s husband had used but the doctor said at hubby’s young age the surgery is the best and the results are usually cancer free and live a full life... which is why surgery was our first choice... so now we are waiting for the nurse to call to set a surgery date and pre op appointment... See it’s better if hubby talks to the doctor and not me…

I did not get as much done at work yesterday that I wanted, actually I think I only got one thing done and not what I wanted… I had planned on working in men’s work boots but started in the women’s clearance and was interrupted with the morning manager meeting, going to lunch, having the manager on duty phone, working with my new associate as the associate I had assigned to him called out sick, organizing a few men’s work boots in the stockroom and then it was time to go home…

Today I have to make the schedule for next week, have the manager on duty phone, prep my associates on what they need to do for the visit from the boss’s new boss for Thursday, go to dinner, maybe start on organizing the women’s fall shoes in the stockroom and then it will be time for closing duties…

Son3 had a ton of homework last night… hubby was distracted with waiting for the doctor to call so son3 only got one page of language homework done before I got home, then five pages of math homework and write his spelling words three times each in cursive… we finally had to break at seven to have dinner, luckily we just had left overs and then son3 finished his spelling after dinner…

We watched Easy A last night… it was quite cute and funny… girlfriend had let us borrow it and so son1 watched it with us… son1 is thinking of getting a different full time job… wants to look for something with chances of advancement… he doesn’t feel the company he is with gives him that… I’m thinking in this economy he is lucky to have a full time job… and girlfriend told him didn’t you just buy a truck, you don’t want to put yourself in a position with a new company of getting laid off… girlfriend started at her cosmetology school yesterday… she was excited and nervous… it is right next door to my work… she works full time and then goes to school at night… for the next eighteen months… I just remembered I’m supposed to call her fiancé now, not girlfriend…

Time to start getting ready for work… I got a couple of chores done this morning and was on the laptop a bit but the morning goes so fast…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that the answers are within you. You're chasing in the wrong field. What you are looking for is inside of you, not 'out there'. Take a few days off to become quiet and look within, and you will find it.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that this world was made for you too. Enjoy it, explore it, experience it. Don't hold back. It is God's gift to you. Don't be a wallflower in the dance of life.

Happy Journaling…

I think the doctor sounds like a good one and it's great he took time to explain things so your hubby will feel comfortable. It is encouraging to know that after surgery he will be cancer free. That is such good news. We are still waiting on the results of DS#6's lumps removed last week. Today is such a gift! I'm dancing! Well not literally but in my heart anyway

Glad hubby is comfortable with the doctor; hoping he hears soon when the surgery will be scheduled; I think sometimes the waiting is the hardest. I hear cosmetology school is really hard too so I admire son's fiance for pursuing it plus working full time! I think it is such an art to cut hair!
