***Saturday***

I happily read blogs last night, starting at the bottom and working up through the N's, lol... Having to work til 5pm today and then fighting with the printer for the last two hours to print out photos for the Christmas cards and eating some dinner, I did not have time to read tonight... I did eat dinner though and feed the boys and I did get the printer to finally cooperate and finish printing the pictures... Son2 is watching The Postman with Kevin Costner and son3 is watching Space Chimps now that I have pried his fingers off the game computer... Hubby is home and came in panicked cause I had not turned on all the outside house lights... I did not know if he had finished fixing the ones on the roof so waited til he got home... He has been coming home everyday to a strand of lights somewhere not being on... He even had to take some back and exchange them cause they were already broken, so he is not having good luck with the Christmas lights this year and they are making him frustrated...

Work was good today... Even though it was Saturday we were not quite as busy as we have been all week... Everyone's still messy though... I put up some more sale signs this morning and changed out some empty sale tables... And then I spent most of the day stocking men's work boots... I got all the boxes caught up, there are no boxes in receiving until the next truck comes, Yay!! So I have lots of shoes to put out now... Tomorrow I have the whole ad to change out with all new signs and then after lunch I will either start on stocking the men's dress shoes or work on athletic shoes or put out some more clearance... all depends on my mood and how busy we are...
I had all kinds of witty things to write about in my head while I was at work and now that it is 9pm I can't remember what they were, lol...
I have not even been out in the yard, the backyard needs mowing badly, but it is grey and dreary and cold out there by time I get home... I still need to cut back the roses too and plant the bulbs for the Spring... At least next week's schedule I am back to my 35 hours instead of 40... That 5 hours makes a big difference on the home routine...
Tomorrow after work gotta give son3 a haircut and hopefully finish up the Christmas cards so they can all be in the mail by Monday... And clean up the kitchen, even though son2 has been emptying and filling the dishwasher, he doesn't wash the pans or counters, lol...
Hubby has the next two days off so lots more decorating will be going on... And I want to get on wrapping the presents next... Christmas day is going to be here before we know it...
I already have thoughts for some New Years resolutions I want to accomplish in January.... OK sorry I won't go there yet... :)
I think we are almost caught up on all the TV shows, everything is starting to be repeats now for the holidays... I think we just have a Criminal Minds and a CSI NY to watch... Maybe we can watch one before I fall asleep... Have to be up at 4:30am to do it all over again....
Happy Journaling...

Sounds like a full day as usual for you :) You got me to thinking...I hate when I go to a store and see that people have taken an item off the shelf to look at and then just throw it on the floor. I always backtrack and put things where I found them. Sometimes to the aggrivation of my hubby I even take other people's items back and put them in the right place...I especially irritate all when I straighten out the candy and front it while I am waiting in line at the grocery store LOL
I will be glad when all my Christmas shopping is done and everything is wrapped. Hug the boys for me xoxBarb

you'll have to let me know what Son2 thought of the Postman; I thought that was a bit of an "odd" movie of Kevin Costner's

so glad that work went well and you guys are ahead of the game (until the next truck load at least)

we ventured to the mall today and it wasn't as busy as I thought but it was only 11:00

(good news about son's phone; new one will be overnight shipped Monday; he'll get Tuesday; bad thing is he has to look at all the old phone bills to re-program in his numbers; he doesn't even know his girlfriend's number by heart LOL; so once your son gets his; he might want to keep a hard copy of his numbers :)

Is "The Postman" a scary movie? I know I have the paperback around here somewhere...maybe I should read it. I am still hesitating to cut back my roses because some are still blooming. I usually wait until we get a good frost or two and then cut them back, knowing that they are indeed dormant. I worked out in the yard from about 3pm until it got dark today. Bob went out to put up the outdoor lights and all 4 strings were burned out. I had one box of new ones...he put them up but they were not long enough. By the time I went & got two more boxes he had taken off and didn't get back until it was dark...so half of the front of the house has lights only. Raisin's name is mentioned in my latest post. I'm with "Barb" on people just discarding things and not picking them up. I'm the same way with grocery carts. I hate it when people just leave them all over the place. Grrrr!

come over here and wrap my presents, ok? I have them stacked half way to the ceiling. Can't wait to see the family Christmas pic. One of my biggest pet peeves ever is when a customer drops a perishable item off where it will rot in a grocery. When others complain about rising costs, well, one reason they go up is due to stupidity of someone who doesn't care about throwing away things needlessly.
So glad you are up to date on the shoes! XOXO

Sounds like a very busy day! I hope today is a little easier. When hubby finishes up your lights can he stop by my house? I can never get mine to put up the lights - and the few times he has it's been July by the time I get him to take them down ::sigh::

I still fighting mine so don't know what is gonna go with the Christmas cards.
I hate when lights do that outside. I did not put up outside this year.
Take care, Chrissie
