December is here...

Today hubby and I shopped til we dropped... And we found not much... Everything is sold out... In the stores and on line... We went to the postal annex and got lots of stamps... We went to the dollar store and found lots of stocking stuffers and advent calendar treats... We went to Toys R Us and found nothing... We went to Walmart and just got basic stuff of cat food and toilet paper and cola and hubby did find two more strings of lights for the yard... Then we went to Target and finally found a few Christmas presents for the boys... We came home and had some turkey for lunch... Then online to Walmart and nothing in stock to buy... So off to Toys R Us online and we found a couple of toys... Finally at Target online and we found a few more toys... Seems this is the year that we keep finding lots for son2 but not much for son3... Last year it was the other way around...
Today son2 started his day back to school with foggy day schedule of a three hour bus delay... Son3 got off to school just great and came home all full of energy... Son2 came home all grumpy, tired probably... Now son3 is doing homework and son2 is talking with hubby about something that happened just before vacation started... Seems some of his friends thought it would be funny to put son2's school binder in another friend's backpack and so the friend had son2's binder all vacation and son2 had a paper in it that needed signing and brought back to school today... Costing him twenty points for not turning in the paper today, however most of the class didn't turn it in so the teacher gave them another day, so he got lucky... And they dumped out perfume in another friends sport bag and tied knots so that she was late to practice... And another friend they filled his backpack with wet leaves and dirt... Of course they all thought it was just funny... Son2 was mad, however now he is moving past mad at them and mad at me cause I said he could no longer go to the Christmas party at the house of one of the friend's who pulled the pranks... So he and hubby are talking it out...
Son3 is needing my help to do homework and I'm not feeling like making dinner or eating turkey so thinking what can hubby can pick up for dinner... and last night we didn't watch any of the Santa Clauses cause no one could agree on which one so we watched The Grinch with Jim Carrey instead... Tonight Terminator is on and I need to finish CSI cause I fell asleep last night while hubby and I were watching it... lol...
Happy Journaling...

Sounds like it was a productive day, for the most part. I'm having a hard time finding things for my boys this year too.
Have a great week Linda :-)

Sounds like the 'Grinch' was a good choice of movies when no one could agree. Those friends who are doing the back packs sound like trouble to me. My you do have your hands full there.

Kids! When they are the most vulnerable~they do the most rotten things to each other. I'm glad I do shopping through out the year...I was at Target today to pick up a prescription & all the prices are back up and there's not much in the toy department. Hoepfully, they'll get in more stock for next week. I'm luck to have 3 Wal Mart's within a 12 mile radius of my house...so what is not at one, may be at another. Linda in Washington

I think stores aren't stocking a lot this year so they don't have a lot on their shelves if people don't buy things; I'm finding that at the grocery store too

I hadn't thought of fog delayed days but I would imagine it would make driving challenging until it cleared

hope the rest of the week goes good :)

I haven't really noticed the store shelves as I've been avoiding stores since Halloween. I don't do well with crowds - yet I photograph weddings which are often crowded venues! Does that make any sense?

I like you banner, where did you find that? I want it too! :-)

does CSI seem different to you since Warrick left? It sure is for me. Man, those teen boys are killer...the things they do for a laugh and not for a second do they think it thru or about the consequences. XO

Wow...I just finished reading all the entries on this page. You have been so busy! I know you always are, but I feel like a slacker when I read these posts.

I liked your pictures in the "smilebox" of your Christmas preparation.

Your Thanksgiving dinner sounded fantastic!

I hope you'll find what you need for son3. As young as he is, I'm sure that will come together okay. Usually it gets harder as they get older.

I hope you are having a good day...:)
