The Day After the day after

I am still fighting with that picture up there, it won't delete and I can't change it.... But I'm tired and after this entry I am going to cut son2's hair, eat some more dinner and kick back... I am getting a little bit sad now that the boys go back to school in just one more day and I have been working all week... I still have to work again tomorrow and then hubby and I have a day off while the boys are back in school... Hopefully we can do a bit of Christmas shopping...

Today wasn't as good a day at work as yesterday and yesterday was the busiest shopping day of the year... However yesterday everyone came in to shop knowing what they were getting in to... Today we were just a usual Saturday busy and yet everyone brought their attitudes with them to shop... And unfortunately since we were all tired and still cleaning and stocking and recovering from yesterday we were giving a bit of attitude right back.... I was very surprised at how much the closers got done in getting everything cleaned... We have a lot of mismates to deal with but not any more then we have been dealing with since we went to all self serve shoes... I got all the sale tables filled back up and was going to stock a bit today but no one was liking any of my answers to their questions so I hid in the stockroom most of the day opening boxes and kinda kicking back, since I work hard all year, I deserve this time to slack off... No.... Tomorrow is a big ad day of taking down the entire ad and then re signing everything again... Next week will be another 40 hour week...

Son3 is watching Alvan and the Chipmunks... I'm still waiting for son2 so I can cut his hair... Hubby will be home soon... Not much else going on... The boys and I have been eating the turkey and pumpkin pie, mostly pumpkin pie, lol.... Off to relax...

Happy Journaling...

It's a shame people seemed to only have patience for one day. I commend you - I don't think I could deal with the public, especially if they had bad attitudes and poor manners.

Girl you deserve a break. Hope the boys are enjoying the end of their break... of course son3 still has two extra days remember. ;-)
Take care and Hugs, Chrissie

Glad you made it through the day after the day after! Only one more day after the day after the day after to go before you finally get a day off - figures, it's the smae day I have to go back to work ::stopping feet and pouting:: ;-)

I think at the end of 2 busy work days with crabby customers, eating pumpkin pie is a wonderful thing! bet it tasted good too!

its too early in the season for shoppers to be grumpy; lets hope they check their attitudes at the door and are much more pleasant tomorrow

Sorry you had to be on duty for Retail Black Friday. It sounds like you weathered it okay, though. Glad you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving Thursday! Good luck with the rest of this retail nightmare of a weekend!

You work in such a tough environment! I would be hiding in the back room all the time, or being sassy back at customers which means my employment probably would not have much by way of longevity! God Bless!

So glad you made it through Black Friday with no major deaths!! Did you hear about that poor Walmart temporary worker? So sad that people are acting like that just to get a few sale items. I love the graphic in this entry. Yes and I have been eating mostly pumpkin pie and it was so good and the kids loved it so much I baked more. Yes I didn't get much time with the kids either... seemed like the break flew right by.
