August Twenty First

To celebrate son2’s new job, son3 starting the 8th grade and hubby & mine 22nd wedding anniversary, we went to Red Robin (on August 12th), plus to spend the gift card hubby had got from work for doing a good job…

I had the teriyaki burger with a freckled lemonade…

Hubby had a chicken patty… with the lime lemonade, it was tangy…

That’s my plate on the right…

Son2 had the Bonsai burger and son3 had shrimp and chicken…

Plus we got some BBQ appetizers… We were so full…

Son3 back to school…

He’s been back a whole week already…

His shirt says find X and then has the X circled with DUH by it…

And son2’s been at his new job almost two weeks now and back to school a week too…

Even son1 is back to school at work…

DIL is 40 weeks tomorrow… Still waiting…

She had a doctor appointment today, haven’t heard how it went yet…

I’m trying a new recipe for dinner…

I bought apples for school lunches that no one has been eating, so was looking for a recipe for apples and onions…

I found one at Kraft using zesty Italian dressing and chicken, which I had both in the fridge…

And maple syrup, I have that too…

So layer everything in baking dish, cover with a mix of dressing and syrup and bake at 350 for 25 minutes…

We will see how it tastes in just a bit at dinner…

Not sure about that dressing with syrup, we shall see…

RAINY_HEADER

I so wish it would rain…

Due to our drought we are down to only being able to water the yard twice a week…

So today I started cutting all my roses way down, they haven’t been blooming lately anyway due to too hot and no water…

And they raised our water rates… I know it’s to discourage people from using too much water but it’s not like they are going to use the extra money to go buy more water…

Still haven’t used my new organizer yet…

But I did turn the page to this week…

My goal this month is to get the file cabinet purged and organized…

And get the yard all cleaned up…

Hubby will help with the yard too…

Hubby is home, son3 is doing homework and son2 is off at class…

Time for dinner…

Happy Journaling…

So good to hear from you! Thanks for the welcome back!! I can believe how big your baby is, but then again my youngest is a senior this year so I guess I can believe it! Our kids have grown up together while we have been on blogs together! :)

LOL, Linda, this is too funny, but we had the exact same dinner you had tonight except ours went into the crockpot, but it was chicken, applies, onion, maple syrup, and italian dressing. Let me know what you think about it. It was okay, but not my favorite; probably won't make it again.

Wow, any time now for the baby! I bet everyone is excited! Son2 looks very grown up for work/school!

The food from Red Robin looks delicious too! Happy belated anniversary!

Can't wait to hear what you post about the baby!

It's been a month to celebrate there at your house. Hard to believe it is back to school. I know you are anxiously awaiting your grandchild too. That will be quite a celebration. Here we've had plenty of rain. I wish I could send some your way.
