D is for Day Off…

fetchhagdc

Day four into the Blogging from A-Z April Challenge and I got a bit stuck on the letter D…

A, B and C were good and I even have thoughts for E, F, G and H…

But D… I had nothing…

I could have written about how son2 still does not have his driving license and he is on his second permit at the age of 20, not because he can’t drive, he can, he just doesn’t go out much…

I could have written about dieting, but then I’ve gained back 18 of the 33 pounds I lost two years ago, so let’s not…

I could have written about dividing time between work and home but that was a bit of a stretch when the word should have been balancing time between work and home…

Disneyland… I haven’t been there since 1984…

So I was very excited when it hit me, Yesterday was my DAY OFF and that starts with D…

Hooray!!

And to think I was upset the other day when I found out my day off, that I have been getting consistently for the last four months, changed from Tuesday to Thursday… If they hadn’t of changed it, I would have been at work yesterday and still wondering what starts with D…

So what did I do on my day off…

  • Son3 off to school
  • Talked with hubby before he was off to work
  • Breakfast
  • Email
  • Facebook
  • Read Blogs
  • Laundry
  • Washed kitchen/bath rugs
  • Lunch
  • Updated April Calendar
  • Birthday/Anniversary cards for April
  • Sorted through work papers from work
  • Watched TV
  • Trimmed the roses
  • Sprinkled out snacks for the snails
  • Loaded/ran the dishwasher
  • Cooked enchiladas for dinner
  • Vacuumed
  • Posted bills
  • Watched TV with hubby after dinner

You got a lot accomplished on your day off! I'm looking forward to our spring break so I can have a day off from the day to day stuff.

A day off from work away from home, but still you did a lot of work too. Glad to see that at least you had some R&R time after dinner.

Nothing like a day off to recharge the batteries! You have achieved a lot today. Best wishes for the A to Z.

I can't believe you haven't been to Disneyland in 20 years! A lot has changed there :)

You always accomplish so much on your days off!

You Did your Duties! Congrats.
Days off should be beach days, though!
Aloha.

The not driving thing is not as unknown as people tink. I am in my thirties and have chosen to be a life long walker and pedestrian, and I go everywhere and anywhere. When people drive a block, I feel good about saving resources to walk and bike a mile. I think your cats are adorable.
