March Thirtieth

IMG_0016

I was off this weekend…

IMG_0017

Yesterday hubby made omelets for breakfast with corned beef hash…

I moved son3’s XBox into his room with a little help from son2…

Son2 and Son3 were having a little trouble coexisting in the front room with son3 on his XBox live with his friends on his headset… Being loud while son2 was on his computers/games…

Hubby had to work in the afternoon so I straightened up the house and watched my shows…

IMG_0027

For dinner last night I fixed fish, stewed tomatoes, and black eyed peas…

IMG_0039

The pumpkins are still growing…

I’ve been taking pictures in the yard all week…

Today hubby made berry pancakes for breakfast…

IMG_0051

We went to Big Lots, Rite Aide and WinCo looking for hubby’s shampoo… We did find his shampoo and a few groceries too…

IMG_0058IMG_0059

Then we came home and watched a couple of Havens…

I made teriyaki ginger pork steaks with honey butter cornbread, rice, pasta salad, carrots and peas for dinner…

Now we are watching ParaNorman…

Weekends go by so fast… They’re supposed to be a time of lounging, reading books, walking outside and painting your nails… Bit I didn’t do any of that this weekend… and now it’s time to go back to work tomorrow…

IMG_0065

Our manager text the staff schedule for the next two weeks today…

My day off was changed from Tuesday to Thursday… Would have been nice to be asked, just in case maybe I did stuff on Tuesdays, I don’t, but what if I did…

IMG_0066

Son2 planted an onion that was growing in the kitchen that we didn’t eat on time and replanted his strawberries with it… He also planted some bell pepper seeds in another pot…

He also decided to not finish his college classes this semester… He originally dropped PE because it was at 7am… then he dropped English because it was based on music/songs and he’s not a big listen to the radio or CD’s kind of person… that left Dinosaurs that he took just for a fun class… And Algebra that he has not been doing well because he doesn’t like the teacher although she is hardly there and he likes the substitute better…

So he lost his focus this semester… It was his last semester of his GED classes… He’s been in college two years now… So he still needs a PE class, an English class and a math class… So he will have one more semester at city college in the Fall… for now he wants to get his driver’s license, buy a car and get a job… he says that way in the fall semester he can drive his own self and won’t have to feel obligated to pick classes to fit our work schedules so we can drive him… so he could pick classes that he likes to finish his GED, not just what was left over to fit the schedule… that’s his story anyway and plan… I told him I would also make him a list of chores to do around the house while he was job hunting… it’s four and a half months til school starts again in the fall…

Then when he is done with the last three classes he can start his classes for his major of being an EMT… Which is at night and clear across town so he definitely needs his own transportation…

Don't waste today regretting the past or dreading the future. Enjoy this day because it is a gift from God! –Joyce

We should trust God's love even when we cannot discern His purpose. –Joyce

Prayer is simply conversation with God. It doesn't need to be long, loud or fancy. What's important is the sincerity of our heart and the confidence that God hears and will answer us. We must develop the confidence that even if we simply say, "God help me," He hears and will answer.

Joy is our strength and actually energizes us, so I encourage you to take every opportunity you have to smile and laugh! –Joyce

Don't just pray for God to open doors, pray for God to close doors in your life that need to be closed. –Joyce

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

tolerance is your gift to the world.

It is easy to respond to hurts and frustrations with anger. The real measure of communion with God is tolerance.

sometimes it's ok if the only thing you did today was breathe.

A day well lived does not have to include anything more than celebrating this Divine world through simple breathing.

So true how fast the weekends go. I try on Sundays not to do anything but "veg" with a good book on the couch (and maybe a nap).

I think the job market is better these days so I bet son2 should be able to get a job while he is waiting for the fall to start classes again. At least he is still willing to consider to go to school, even though he took this bit of a break.

I was wondering if your son could take the math and english online for college? Was wondering what kind of shampoo your husband uses for a special trip, lol. Mine likes anything I use apparently even the shampoo for colored hair. I told him to stay away from it but he doesnt' listen too well, lol.
