February First

IMG_0001

Friday night, watching Game of Thrones with hubby and son2… I am off this weekend and getting a start to my weekend now that I am home from work…

Pictures of Maple and Indy enjoying son2’s birthday decorations…

IMG_0002

It has been a whole week since son2’s birthday… Son1 and DIL took him out to dinner at Applebee’s and he hung out with his friends…

IMG_0003

It has been over a week since I blogged… I am settling into work quite well now…

However there is never enough time in the day at work or at home…

I understand that my day at work is not my own… but you would think at home I could have more control of the day… after work is son3’s homework, dinner, a bit of relaxing and then to bed to get up and back to work again…

A rainbow from the other day when hubby and I went for a walk…

IMG_0006

While doing homework with son3 the other day I was thinking it would be better if school was from January through September… and have October through December off… with the holidays especially working retail there is just too many distractions during those months… and it gets dark so early every one just wants to hibernate… it wouldn’t be so bad to go to school during summer as the days are longer and there would be more time for homework and play with the sun being up longer… just a thought…

IMG_0007

Son1 got a new job… he starts on the 11th… he’ll have to take a test in April and if he passes then he’ll get into a five year training program with his new company for heating and cooling… HVAC… he’s very excited… I hope it all works out for him, he has been wanting to learn a trade or go to college but worries he’s getting old at twenty five…

IMG_0008

We just finished watching episode four of season two of Game of Thrones… it was a very graphic episode even for them with lots going on… phew…

IMG_0009

The balloons I put outside son2’s bedroom door on his actual birthday day…

IMG_0010

Below you will see all the “God wants you to know” phrases I saved each day intending to write an entry and then I ran out of time… I need to get into a routine of writing… I seem to have time to check my email and Facebook… I just need to change my routine around…

IMG_0011

So what all happened this week… work… son2 to college two days… son3 to school and homework… hubby job hunting… watching TV… sleeping…

IMG_0012

And lots of eating… I want to get back on my program of not eating… to get back to the thirty three pounds I lost a year or so ago now… which means I have about thirteen pounds to lose… but I keep eating… is It the winter hibernating… or stress eating of balancing work and home… or stress eating of hubby still not working… or just me sabotaging myself the more I say don’t eat, so I do… need to wrap my mind around it and then I can make it so…

Watching The Big Bang Theory and then to bed…

Having all those balloons at your door would be a wonderful way to start off a birthday celebration! Was he surprised? Winter is the time for comfort food. I know that it's not just how much I eat but the different things I eat in the winter make a difference too. Glad work is going better there with the new job. Enjoy your weekend!

Those are cute balloons! Very colorful and festive for Son2's big day! WTG for son1 with his potential career opportunity like that. A trade is a very good thing to have and heating/cooling is something we will always need and hopefully won't be replaced by a machine to do the work. Good for him!

I like your thought of having the school year like you suggested; it does make a bit of sense.

Just a thought; can hubby take on more of the homework help with son3 so you have some free time in the evenings to yourself? I know he must on the evenings you may work, but just seems that if he has the time with him not working now, it would free you up a bit for a few minutes to yourself, which I know is something you crave and need.

enjoy your weekend off!
