November Twenty Third

Are you ready for Thanksgiving… I think we are…

All the tables are stocked as high as they can go… All the signs are up… The doorbusters are tagged… Oh wait that is Black Friday… I just got home from work… We were so busy… Everyone needs shoes to wear for Thanksgiving… We were trying to sign and stock the floor for Friday… But we did it and cleaned up the mess and got off on time…

At home hubby has the pumpkin pies made… and he made muffins for breakfast… The turkey is already in the pan in the fridge waiting to go in the oven first thing in the morning… I still need to make the pumpkin bread in the morning… and all the side dishes… Son3 said he can’t wait to eat because it is all his favorite foods…

The dishes are all done, the house is vacuumed, last load of laundry is in the dryer… in the morning I will wipe down the bathrooms… as we have company coming…

Now it’s time for sleeping… the kittens are already asleep… and Holly too…

Son1 and son3 are asleep but son2 is playing his Skyrim game…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are needed, you are wanted, you are loved. Blessings to you and your family.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that there are times we are called to be a light in the darkness. Now is that time. Be a calm presence of love. Let your heart shine like a beacon in dark times. It is surprising what a difference one light can make.

On this day, God wants you to know

... that you are created just right. Each kind of bird has a uniquely-shaped beak, wings, and even feather shape so that everything about it is perfect for the lifestyle it lives. The various wing shapes allow them to dart after a bug, soar miles above a field, or fly for months over the ocean. Just as God cares enough to give each bird exactly what it needs, so you have been given the exact talents and personality to live the life God has given you.

Happy Journaling…

I got hungry just reading everything you had made in preparation for Thanksgiving! I bet it tasted really good. We go and eat in about 30 minutes so I'm good and hungry and waiting for some stuffing, turkey, etc.

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and time with family and company! I know it has been a very tough year for you/family with health concerns, issues, car accidents, etc. But truly we are blessed, aren't we?

I hope Black Friday treats you kindly! You probably could write a book about it (and then it will be a best seller and you can retire from retail :)

Be careful out there!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Sorry I haven't been around blogs in a while. If you add the new google mail subscription to your sidebar, I'll get your entries sent straight to my inbox. It makes keeping up with everyone so much easier. Have a good week.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving... I can just smell your pumpkin bread as I'm reading about it. Isn't it nice and cozy when everything is quiet and the kids are in bed and the dryer is running and to just have some journal and mom alone time?!!
