March Thirteenth

On this day, God wants you to know

... that decision is only wishful thinking until you take that first irreversible step. You can tell yourself that you have already decided, that nothing now can stop you, but if that step backwards is so much safer than step forwards, what will hold you true to your path when the going gets tough? Sometimes, the right thing to do is to take that first irreversible step, the one after which you cannot go back. And now, for you, is one of those times.

Above is the posting for today and below is yesterdays… Still so right on target with what we are dealing with… still waiting for them to make a decision/announcement on who got the shoe lead position… Inventory is Wednesday… will be so glad when that is over with… so I have Thursday off this week… which is good… cause it’s St Patrick’s Day and I can make corn beef… and son3 has his field trip to the mission… and hubby has his interview at Macy’s…

On this day, God wants you to know

... that tonight you can turn your worries to God, and have a good night's sleep. You've been worrying too much about the future lately. So tonight, go ahead, put your faith in God, and just have a peaceful evening and a restful sleep.

The pictures below are from when hubby and I went to feed the birds around March 9th… I have more that I will have to make a smilebox slideshow of… there were lots of seagulls being their greedy seagull selves…

I am so tired from having to get up at 5am this morning which was actually 4am old time… and I will continue to do this all week til I get used to the time change… but I am loving that it is 7pm and the sun is still up…

Son1 came over yesterday to visit for a minute… and then came over with girlfriend today to do his laundry and change her brakes on her car… and son1 was adding more gadgets to his jeep, lights and such… and he printed out his taxes… tomorrow I will apply stamps and get them in the mail for him… they stayed for dinner and just left a bit ago… hubby has gone off to get me gas for the week… and I am trying to get the boys, mostly son2 off the video games and into the showers… as the time change will effect them more tomorrow having to get up for school…

Last night we finally watched Life as we Know it… it was funny and sad and very good… we have one more Bones to watch on this disc tonight and they can go back to Netflix tomorrow…

Hubby changed the flow of the bricks from going to the fence to allow for drain off to rounding out the patio… the dirt area he will cement to finish off the patio…

Looking at it from a different direction…

The alyssum and bulbs are coming up…

The non fruit bearing flowering pear tree is in full bloom…

The left over bricks from redirecting the flow of the patio that hubby will use to trim off this part of the yard… he has since brought more from the front yard where he is changing the look of the yard border under the front window… since he got his unemployment extension and we are getting a bit back from taxes I have given him the go ahead to finish a couple of projects he had started that don’t cost much to finish… I may even have him get a couple of cans of paint so he can paint a bit in the house… it so needs it after eleven years of boy’s fingerprints…

Son3 is in the shower but not son2, so off to wrangle up some boys… I want to have a bit of ice cream, watch Bones and crash for the night so we can get up and do it all again tomorrow…

Happy Journaling…

The time change is always hard for me to adapt to. Usually my internal alarm wakes me up but this morning I had to rely on the alarm clock. I can relate to being up at 5 am to get ready for work. I did that for more years than I like to think about. I still get up early most mornings but it is very different not having to go off to work. I'll be praying that your hubby's interview goes well. It will be wonderful for you all when he gets back to work. I love the little sayings about what God wants you to know. They are very encouraging.

how cute with that nest in the lemon tree! seems like a busy week ahead with field trips and your hubby's job interview; hope that goes well and I hope you hear something about the lead position! I know that also causes a bit of stress, wondering when you will hear and what you will hear. I'm with you about the time change; takes a few days to adjust but always glad to have the light in the evening!

That is a great idea to have hubby finish up some projects and paint. I am so thankful you are hanging on and have been praying for you all over there in beautiful California.
