July Twenty First

IMG_0001

I started this entry at the beginning of the month by putting the pictures in… we have been so busy with all the summer happenings that it’s taken all month just to keep up with all the pictures that I have been sharing about our days out and about…

The last expense of the school year was the cookie dough fund raiser… $45 for three tubs of cookies/nine dozen… peanut butter, chocolate chip and raisin cranberry… they are very yummy… and all ready to just place on the cookie sheet… still have a dozen of each left to cook…

We have all been book crazy this year… From Scholastic book orders in son3’s class to Doubleday Book Club to Barnes and Noble to Walmart… I ordered another bookcase for the hallway from Walmart today… Can’t wait til it gets here next week so I can reorganize all the books… Even son1 bought a book all about Jeeps… I thought he was allergic to books…

I am especially hooked on Nora Roberts this year…

Miss Holly… kind of hard to blog when her favorite place to sit is on the keyboard so she can be petted…

I also did a bit of shopping at Current Catalog… They had buy one get one free and dollar days with free shipping if you spend $40… so couldn’t resist…. got lots of stickers…

and birthday, anniversary and note cards… they also are handing for scanning in and using for graphics in the blog…

The racks in my dishwasher have been slowly loosing their clips so when you pull out the racks they come all of the way out and onto the floor if you aren’t paying attention… It was 11 yrs old… so I got a new one… still GE but with push buttons and a delay button from 2-8 hours… Cool…

And my dryer has been dying for even longer… eating clothes literally in the drum, running for ever, getting too hot, not buzzing when done… also 11 yrs old… also a GE… got the same one we had, they just call the cycles something different now… the washer was replaced a few years ago, so it didn’t last the 11 yrs…

Also got new Faux blinds in the dining room and master bedroom… And a new blinds for the patio door… still waiting for hubby to put the patio blinds up so I can see what they look like…

Hubby actually got a whole week vacation this summer, the week of Fourth of July… but he decided to do just a little work and a lot of play… so we went to Wawona two of the days and he took the boys fishing another day… the appliances were also delivered that week and son3 had an eye appointment…

This year I am taking my vacation a little different… just taking two full weeks, one in June and one in October…. the other three I’m taking one day at a time on Tuesdays… So I still have the rest of July left with all of September and part of October… It’s been nice having Tuesday and Wednesday off to get things done and have me time too… and then Saturdays off for family day…. It especially works for TMS entries and getting my house organized and decluttered…

Son2 and I are watching When in Rome with Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel… Cute and funny…

And now the movie is over and I was going to finish this entry (that I started this morning)  and pay the bills… Actually I have a whole list of things I wanted to do today that I haven’t got to yet… And now son2 wants to watch The Bounty Hunter with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston… both movies are from Netflix just arrived today… But first he has to empty the dishwasher so I can fill it and then he is going to clean the catbox while I file some papers… Dinner is easy tonight of leftover ribs and I’ll make some eggs to go with them…

Happy Journaling…

It is great that you got the dishwasher and dryer replace. I know they indispensable around your house. If you want to get a job done you have to have the right tools. The cookies look delicious but on the pricy side for sure. I remember those days of school fundraisers. I tried to support them all but it got hard with 7 kids in school. After a while I just had to pick and choose. It sounds like your Tuesdays will be terrific.
