Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope everyone is having a nice Valentine's day with their favorite Valentine's... We got to sleep in til almost 9am today... Hubby is closing tonight so we got to have a breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages, english muffins with apple butter and waffles and exchange our Valentine surprises before he left... In the last entry for the letter V there is a picture of the Valentine packages... I got hubby a shirt he wanted from Cabela's and a special hubby card with coupons to redeem for a date, a candlelit dinner and breakfast in bed... He of course made me a card and a devil in a mug, shown in the last entry... I was feeling festive this year so I got the boys treats too... Son3 got computer games, Ice Age the Melt down and Open Season and hubby got him a Star Wars figure... And I was worried cause son2's package hadn't arrived yet... I ordered him all four books to the Twilight series, so I printed out the pictures of the books and rolled it like a scroll and wrote on it coming to your front porch soon... It worked out perfect cause as we were eating breakfast I saw the mailman go by so after a bit I checked out the front window and there on the porch was the package so after son2 opened his scroll we told him to check the front porch and he didn't believe us, lol... so it was perfect timing... Hubby also got him the movie, The Punisher...

So I have installed both of son3's games that he is already bored with, son2 has already watched his movie, we are having some hot dogs, I have been loading pictures into the blog which has taken forever and I am not even dressed yet today and it is already 3:30pm...

I came home from work yesterday and son1 was over doing laundry... He's a bit tight in the funds at the moment and doesn't get paid for another week... He did say he has been finally getting more hours again... He had gotten a bit behind on his credit card payments but after his next paycheck that is caught up... He also got another fix it ticket on his car but said that is fixed just needs to get it signed off... However his landlord says he has his last warning for working on cars in the apartment complex and the next time he is evicted... And that he and girlfriend are on a break of some sorts... she has been staying at her mom's all week... she is mad cause he spends more time with his guy friends than with her... His dogs are doing good and the hamster cage needs cleaning... He named the new dog, Abby... He and son2 did the dishes while he was here and he helped hubby figure out why the new bulb for the van brake light wasn't working, so I can now drive the van again... I didn't want a fix it ticket... I sent him off with three bags of groceries and a a bit of money to cover his checking account til he gets paid... I'm sure he'll be back soon as he mentioned something about taxes needing doing...

It rained most of the week here, so nice... Today it is clear with blue skies and white puffy clouds... We are forcasted with more rain through Thursday and if we get another inch and a half we will finally be up to the normal range for this time of year...

The boys are watching Jack Frost and eating their hot dogs...

I was hoping to get in a lot of blog reading today, but I still want to see Ghost Whisperer from last night and maybe vacuum, clear up the dishes, put all the laundry away and maybe take a shower today.... Not to mention the forty something requests I have in Facebook, lol...

Happy Journaling...

It sounds like a great Valentines day at your house. The work never ends of course, but when we don't have it we miss it so try to enjoy. 'On Ya'-ma

Take care, Chrissie

Oh I remember those days with my son. When he came home to do laundry, I knew things were bad. One time he told me he'd gone to a Food Bank and I about died. He didn't want to worry me, he said. Needless to say, I loaded him up with as much food as I could spare. And I remember several times meeting him at a gas station to fill up his gas tank. But, now he has more money than me...and since I'm retired, I couldn't help him much now anyway. So just know...that someday this will pass. Linda in Washington
