September Tenth

How about an entry…

Of what’s been going on this past year…

I’m not sure where to begin…

How about with each person in the house…

Son3 started high school this fall and is 14 now…

Son2 is the excitement at the moment as he is moving out with two other friends into a house to rent…

He’s still working for the school district…

And he is working temporarily at the same Office Max as hubby, for back to school season…

He’ll look for a second part time job when he is done with Office Max…

We have begun packing as he will be moving in just a couple weeks…

The store that hubby and son2 work at will be closing next month…

Office Max and Office Depot merged together about a year ago…

So most everyone in the store will be moving to other locations…

At first hubby thought that he would lose his full time position…

But now it seems that he is having the opportunity to apply for a supervisor position…

We will find out in the next couple of weeks…

Me, I think about blogging every day…

But never have time to write or read blogs…

Work has been crazy…

More and more work with less and less hours to get it all done…

I’ve been thinking of looking for another job…

But will wait til hubby gets settled and I get past my 35 year anniversary in November…

If I can step out of my comfort zone…

Or find someplace else that is not going through the same economic ways…

I don’t want to go to another retailer…

I want something new where I can feel accomplished at the end of the day and leave work at work…

For the past year I’ve been going to the doctor to figure out a balance of medication that doesn’t make me feel tired all the time…

I take the Gabapentin for my pinched nerve in my neck…

It makes me tired…

Recently I found out that I do have an underactive thyroid…

It’s always been fine in the past so we didn’t test it til recently…

However I’ve researched online and read that Gabapenin can cause an underactive thyroid…

Well isn’t that nice…

I’ll ask the doctor when I go back next month…

Next month I go back for blood work to see if I am on the right dosage of medication for the thyroid…

Meanwhile I am TIRED and wobbly…

When son2 moves out we are going to paint his room and steam the carpets…

Then son3 will move into that room…

And I will get to move into son3’s room after we paint and steam the carpets…

I will have an office/library…

Hubby already has his art room…

There will be lots of furniture moving to do…

I can’t wait!

I hope son2 likes being moved out, lol…

Because he will have to move into the exercise/front room if he moves back…

Happy Journaling…

So great to catch up with what is going on at your house. Sounds like a lot of changes for you and your family. Hope your hubby gets the supervisor position. That would be great. Hope too that your meds get on track and you are feeling better too. After working at one place for so long, I imagine it's going to be hard to change, Just make sure that if you do it will be something you will really like. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Glad to hear the updates!! Can't believe son3 is in high school already! Those 4 years will fly by! Good that son2 is moving out :) Took our son 2 tries, but he finally (I think) is "gone for good". It will be an adventure for son2; hopefully they will continue to be friends (his soon to be roommates). Certainly a learning experience! Glad to hear too that hubby might be able to apply for a supervisory position! It is hard to decide what to do after you have devoted so many years at a place. I'm struggling deciding what to do with my own career after 35 plus years plus 8 years to retirement. I do hope your health issues get sorted out; that might help put a lot of other things into perspective if you feel better :)
