Son2’s Halloween decoration in the fish tank…

That black fish on the left we thought was pregnant…

we moved her to a smaller tank in case she was ready to deliver, they birth live fish…

her mate died the first day she was gone… we feel so bad…

a week later still no babies, so back in the big tank she went…

we are confused…

There was a lost kitten at son2’s work…

of the 600 people there, he brought her home…

she spent the whole afternoon looking at the fish tank…

his friend has been wanting a kitten so he took her…

they are still deciding on a name…

Even though I cut all my roses back and we can only water twice a week…

my roses continue to bloom…

The lemon tree is huge again…

IMG_0021

We have a dozen mandarin oranges growing…

IMG_0022

And even though no one remembers to water the blackberry bush and it dried up…

it is growing again…

I ended up bringing back my glasses…

I loved the reading part although it was blurry to the right…

But I could not get used to the distance…

So I am going from progressive (trifocals) to bifocals…

and she made the distance not so strong…

they haven’t called yet, hopefully I like them this time…

I do miss being able to read small print for the short time I had them…

September was the longest month…

Grandbaby is only a  month old, but feels like he was born so long ago…

And yet it’s been almost a month already since I went for my eye appointment…

October is going to go fast I think…

Hubby has a doctor appointment next week…

And then the week after that I have a footwear audit on the 16th…

And then after that only two weeks til Halloween…

I put in for vacation time for Halloween but don’t know because of the fourth quarter Christmas walk is usually the first week of November…

Son1 and DIL will celebrate their two year wedding anniversary on Sunday…

DIL has her six week post baby check up on Monday but is taking an additional six week leave…

Son2 is still enjoying working at the school as a tech aide…

He has however dropped out of his classes at city college again…

He is burned out with the basic classes of Math and English and is figuring out what his major will be…

He is leaning toward a degree in computers to go along with his new job…

Son3 can usually be found on the XBox or computer when he doesn’t have homework…

Today they had a carnival after school and tomorrow night he going to a friend’s for a birthday sleep over…

He wants to be a bank robber for Halloween and is looking for a monkey mask…

Something he saw in one of his video games…

And he wants his friends to sleep over on Halloween night…

I’m still thinking about it…

And it’s too far off just yet…

I actually cleaned the house a bit today, wrote in the blog and may even go read in one of my many books…

Tomorrow’s back to work…

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you will get back to solving all the wrongs in a moment, - how about taking a moment to treasure what is right.

All too often we focus so intently on solving the problems, that we forget to zoom out and celebrate what is good in our life already.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you belong.

Like a snowflake, you are same and different from all others. In a bed of snow, every snowflake belongs and every snowflake is unique.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

strong family makes a healthy foundation for life's adventures.

Family to support you in times of need, to challenge you to grow, to celebrate with you in times of victory.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

daily reflection is important.

Start off your day in quiet contemplation. If you start to feel anxious, frustrated, angry or drained, go back to that place in your mind and refocus. Do this as often as you need to and see how your life changes for the better.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you are important.

You have a role to play in this universe, even if you do not know it yet. Without you, this divine clockwork would not be the same. So look after yourself. There is a reason for your existence.

Happy Journaling…

Your little grandbaby is so cute! Can't believe he is that old already! September flew here for us for some reason.

Good that son2 is still working and looking for a potential career with computers; honestly that is one you can't go too wrong on these days!

You got some hardy roses if they are still growing with less water! Hopefully this will be a rainy year!

September was a fast month for me. I can't believe it's been a month already since your grandson was born. Glad your DIL is able to take more maternity leave. How nice that you have limes growing there. They are expensive to buy here, but I love putting a squirt or two in my beverages. They are very refreshing in the summertime. Sounds like it will be a fast October for you but a fun one for the most part too!
