April Tenth

I had a bad day today…

I just worked the last six days in a row and was really looking forward to having today off…

I spent most of the day going through the list of A to Z challenge participants… and going through my own list of blogs I follow… and trying to get a few A to Z entries done… but I barely made a dent in either…

I spent a couple of hours talking to hubby before he had to go to work… we are trying to figure out how to plan our week around our work schedules, especially his part time job of 25-35 hours… He works: 8-noon or 1-5 or 2-7 or 8-4 or 1-9 with days off changing…

We are so grateful for him to have a job after being unemployed for three years but we need to settle into a lifestyle for home life too…

Today was his 1-5 shift, but he calls an hour into his shift saying he had to work til 9pm as the other associate had put in his two weeks, and tonight being his last night, he called out…

Then son2 who is no longer going to school this semester, and doesn’t have his driver’s license yet, spent the night at friends last night and stayed up too late and had Jack in the Box in the wee hours of the morning, called asking for a ride home as he didn’t feel well…

Then son3 who at the beginning of the week didn’t want to go to the school carnival after school today decided last night that he wanted to go… so I signed the permission slip and he decided that I would meet him by the school before the carnival and pick up his backpack and bring him some spending money… so I was at appointed meeting place where I waited for a half hour, then drove past the school twice, no son3, I went home, no son3, drove past the school two more times, no son3… of course son3 didn’t see me right away so figured I forgot and went on to the carnival… I went home, annoyed as heck, and went back an hour later after the carnival was over and spotted him right away and picked him up… He also had an algebra test today that he thought was tomorrow but it was today, so he did not do well…

He’s grounded from computer and XBox through Saturday…

He starts Spring Break tomorrow for the next two weeks… I’m so looking forward for a break from his school…

I close tomorrow at work so I have the morning, hubby goes to work, that I can refresh from today and regroup…

I’m off this weekend, so hubby and I can get ready for Easter…

I close all Easter weekend so we are trying to figure out when we are going to celebrate Easter…

I did order the boys some graphic tees for Easter today at Sears… only $7.99ea…

Sorry it was a bad day! That would make me a upset too with son3, wondering where he was; yep being grounded is a good thing for him.

I don't know how the two of you do it with being in retail with the craziness of it all especially with kids still at home, but you are right, it is a good thing hubby is working, just be nice if it was a more conduscive schedule for you both.
