May First and Second

IMG_0001

I got the above book at Big Lots, the last time hubby and I went… It’s a sequel to Dracula, written by Bram Stoker’s great grandnephew… I had heard about it before and then while browsing through the books at Big Lots, I found it for $3.00…

Maple squeezing into a little box… She likes her boxes…

Another good day at work yesterday, not that I got everything done as I ran out of day, but I’m getting things done… I’ve also been bringing paper work home with me, so I feel organized going into work and not having to take time at work shuffling papers around… I was off today but I go in late tomorrow so I’ll get my paper work caught up in the morning before I go in…

The last tea rose, as hubby has replaced this bush with a low growing one… The English tea rose was like an octopus with it’s branches growing so long and then hanging all over the ground…

A huge Daddy Long Leg Spider Web… I counted at least six spiders that I saw…

IMG_0005

Hubby and I went to the grocery store today… These were so cute and yummy… At least the one I had tonight was… I had the pink one called Jamaican Me Happy…

IMG_0006

I have been eating too much lately… I ate a whole bag of jelly beans last night while we were watching our shows… and we have been staying up too late… and not going for walks… and spending too much time on laptops and phones…

Today I did some home paperwork and checked on email and Facebook… Amazing how fast time goes on a day off… I was up at 6am, hubby got the boys to school, I did the paperwork and laptop, had breakfast, talked with hubby and then it was noon…

IMG_0007

Before going to the grocery store, hubby and I stopped at Big Lots again as I wanted to get these garden fences for Halloween for the cemetery… and it was a good thing as they only had two sets left…

IMG_0008

I also got a garden post…

IMG_0009

to hang this lantern on to give some light when giving out the treats to the trick or treaters… I’m searching for a more ancient looking lantern for son2 as he may be a reaper this Halloween… Not too early to start getting ready for our Halloween set up in the yard as there is only 182 days til Halloween…

A rose from when I was trimming the roses the other day…

Son3 had just a bit of homework tonight and hubby picked up son2… I made pasta with meatballs and sausages with garlic bread and garlic sticks; turkey burgers, corn on the cob, and leftovers of hot dogs and potato salad… I am hoping to have it last through the weekend, if the boys don’t eat it all before then…

I also did the dishes, washed the counters, vacuumed and washed the rugs… One of these days I may get to the bathrooms…

We’ve been watching our shows: Arrow, Chicago Fire, Supernatural…

Now it’s ten o clock already and time for bed…

Son2’s new phone cover, a panda bear… I got a purple one and hubby got a case for his… Son3 has son2’s old phone that still gets Wifi so he is able to play games on it and go on the internet…

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

you can let yourself be happier.

Happiness is a choice, although often it might seem otherwise. And it starts small. Today do something that makes you feel happy, and tell your friends about it.
