December First

December is officially here… and I am so bah humbug…

Probably mostly because I have an audit at work on Thursday… and I am no way going to be ready… not with all the shoppers, associates calling out, processes to do and we are still recovering from Black Friday… the person coming always expects us to be perfect like we are a boutique and not a large department store…

We will get everything done at work and be back in tip top shape as we all know our job, however in January maybe…

Hubby made breakfast this morning… and I was hoping to start decorating the tree… and son2 wants us to watch Supernatural from Wednesday… but now I am down to almost an hour before I have to start getting ready for work… I close again tonight…

I had to take hubby’s car yesterday as the van had an almost flat tire… I’d been reminding him for weeks to check the air in the tires… so I now have air in all tires and he filled the gas tank…

I’m also grumpy with hubby not working… I’m wanting to be mad about that right now… of course if hubby went to work who would take son2 to college since he hasn’t learned to drive yet and has had his permit since April… he keeps making a plan to drive, get a car, get a job… but then he just sits on his laptop playing games on the five days he doesn’t go to school…

Son2 did finally decide on classes… he is not going to take the EMT class right now… as I started thinking it is at a different campus farther away… and starts at 6pm every night… of course hubby is not working and could take him… but the plan is for hubby to work… and I can not guarantee that I could get home on time every day to get him to the class… so I told him to wait on that one and get his license first… plus he would have to volunteer at the hospital and go on ride alongs… so that is a lot of traveling… so he needs his own car for that semester… getting to the college he could ride the bike as a last resort if no one was here to give him a ride… even though it is over an hour by bike…

His classes are Hortoculture, Prep for General Chemistry, Archeology and Native American Studies, and wait listed on a communication class… however he still wants to see what all classes open up as students drop classes as it gets closer to class time and then he may change a couple of these…

Son3 is going with hubby today to get some toys to give to Toys For Tots… and we are going through the pantries to bag up food for the food drive at son3’s school…

The one good thing about having the visit next week is I have to work on my day off, Wednesday, causing me to take another day off which is now Saturday… so we are going to the zoo that night to see all the Christmas lights they set up…

So yep, pretty sure my mood is due to the visit next week… I have tons to do at work and love all of it… I am just tired of feeling like I disappoint this man each time he comes because we are not doing everything perfect… of course if we were perfect he would not have a job… his job was just created three or four years ago… Come April I will have been the footwear lead for two years now and in shoes for nine years…

After work I treat myself to lots of episodes of Ghost Adventures… I don’t know why I love that show… probably cause it’s new to me… last night I watched Glee when I got home at almost midnight…

Hubby is ready to decorate the tree… so let me put an ornament or two up before I have to get ready to go to work again…

Glad you at least had the time or an ornament or two...decorating is fun. I know it has to be nice having hubby helping out on things but it would be nice if he were working instead. Son 2 needs to learn to drive and get a job to buy a car. Hope he and hubby are working soon. This time of year should have some seasonal openings that could lead to something permanent... One day at a time and it will all be well.

I think we all need to have some time to be Bah Humbug..You always have a plate full so it doesn't surprise me that you get that feeling once in a while:)
At work, you do what you can..
Hope your day goes well:)

don't send the rain our way! (actually we need it, but let it come Monday after son is not valeting :)

It is easy to be Bah Humbug especially since you work retail so you see the "ugly" side of it all. I hope the visit goes as well as it can. It is interesting they plan the visits during the most busiest of times!

Wise decision to re-think son's classes; I do like his potential class line up; looks like a lot of interesting learning there. It is so funny how some kids can't wait to drive and others have absolutely little or no desire to do so. Son wanted to drive when he was 11; hard to imagine he's been driving for nine years already (permit at 14.5; license at 15).

I hope the night isn't too crazy at work!
