Tomorrow is hubby’s surgery to have his prostate removed due to prostate cancer… Surgery is at 8am and will last about four hours… I worked this weekend and I am now on vacation for a week… Hubby will be in the hospital for about three to four days… I had planned to blog every day to share our ups and downs over the last couple of weeks… but instead I was busy at work and then home to dinner and spend the evening with hubby and the boys… I went through the crying stage and the mad stage… now I’m in the acceptance/numb stage… My goal now is to just get through tomorrow…

... that it's ok to be there for yourself. Amidst all the expectations, demands, requests, take some time to ground yourself in God. Take some time for yourself.

... that your ability to receive is equally important to your ability to give. Have you ever brought a special gift, working hard just to get it, only to be refused by the person you were giving it to? That didn't feel right, did it? Our relationships are greatly enhanced when we become not only generous givers, but generous receivers as well. When we know how to accept gladly, wholeheartedly, embracing the gift as an extension of the giver. It takes both giving and receiving for care and generosity to flow unimpeded.

... that your task is not to seek for love, but to seek and melt all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. God loves you with the very air you breathe, the very light that touches your skin, the very ground that supports you. Love is everywhere, - melt your barriers, and you will have love in abundance.

... that you don't go to find meaning in life, you bring meaning to your life. Meaning isn't something out there waiting for you to discover. The meaning of your life is what you infuse it with - beauty or ugliness, happiness or sadness. It is totally your choice, and God wants it to be your choice because God gave you free will.

... that when you create peace within your own being, it radiates out into the world. The world becomes a more peaceful place one person at a time.

... that this world is filled with beauty. Allow yourself time to be nourished with the beauty of this world. Watch the sun rise, gaze at the ripples of water on the lake, listen to the songbirds, feel the breath of the breeze, glory in the colors of the sunset, feel the magic of the moon. This beauty is the air for your soul.
On this day, God wants you to know
... that there are no bad people, only people with bad ideas. Have compassion towards such people, and help them sober up from the influence of bad ideas.

((((Linda and hubby)))) I've been praying for you guys and will continue to pray for you. I remembered tomorrow is the day. Remember God is walking right alongside of you. This did not catch him by surprise. Just trust in him. Post as you can to let us know how things are going, but know you are in my prayers.
