Foggy Day

Well we now have foggy day on top of our four hour test day delay which means the students going in for testing this morning now go in two hours later because the buses are delayed due to the fog and son2 now goes in six hours later since the freshman are not testing... The freshman go to school for ONE HOUR... Is the school crazy... I told son2 he could stay home... It is not even foggy here, clear blue sky, the sun is out and it will be 72 degrees today... Son3 has school however since his school is just across the street and they do not offer bus service anymore... So he is up and having pancakes this morning... I am waiting for hubby to get ready for work so I can get ready for work as I don't go in til ten today as we are on the same schedule and in each other's way, lol...
Yesterday was a crazy day at work... I didn't get as much done as I wanted... We have a special needs group that comes in a couple of days a week to dust and such and they were working in shoes yesterday and in my way so I couldn't everything done I wanted... Plus all the shoplifters were shopping yesterday and I was having to stay out of the way of security... So mostly I just opened boxes and stocked... Today I hope to work on displays, clean the stockroom a bit for the visit tomorrow and open more boxes...
Last night I worked til after five, came home and tag teamed hubby with homework and making dinner, checked email and fell asleep watching CSI Miami...
Now I'm off to load the dishwasher, load the washing machine and get me ready for work...
This fog better be gone tomorrow as I have a day off and everyone needs to be at work and school, lol....
Happy Journaling...

The school is crazy! One hour! I bet most of the children did not go in today. That was not even worth opening class rooms. Falls under the category of "What are they thinking?!!"

Hope your day goes better!

It really is foggy here at my house...can't see across the street and it's only 33* Fog doesn't stop school here, just ice and/or snow. So yesterday was shop lifting day ?!? Glad I wasn't at the mall or any store. Hope your day off is one of complete solitude....Linda in foggy & cold Washington

That is nice that they hire special needs group. Hope the fog is gone tomorrow so you can have some "me" time. I have a funeral to go to in the morning. Shirley passed away Saturday night. Blessings, Janie

I'm with you; I would have told son2 to stay home too; why go for 1 hour?? crazy schedule!!

I think its neat that they have the special needs group come in to do some chores at the store; I'm sure its a bit disruptive for the regular employees, but I get it gives the group a sense of pride in working and feeling productive

hope tomorrow is a good day

I didn't realize that shoplifters had a special day to shop! Must be Tuesdays. LOL! It's so weird to have schools delayed for fog. I am not sure that would ever happen here but we get enough closings/delays from the snow. Hope you get some time to yourself one of these days!
Love,
L

fog days huh? At least it is not ice days or blizzard days or snow days....
ah yes, the welfare checks come out and the shoplifters are not far behind. I can not imagine EVER going to a retail store and wanting to try to steal shoes though. XXOX
