It Rained

Is it wrong that I am loving this new blog... I am just keeping it simple at the moment, waiting til the journals are gone and then I'll have more time to play with all these template choices.... I am so curious how some have different wallpaper backgrounds that I have been seeing around... It is so nice to have everything right on the blog or just a click away in dashboard... and I have not had more than twenty emails, lol.... the alerts were very stressful to me, lol... now right on my blog if I follow the blog then it tells me when they last updated.... I am concerned about how much room we have for photos though... it says we only are allowed 1024mb and I have already used 3mb between this blog and my photo blog.... I like clicking on as a follower in others blogs, I'm hoping not to be such a lurker, lol... so even if I don't comment, they know I am there reading.... So far I am up to 51 blogs though, lol... but then I had over 125 set to alerts in jland...

It actually rained... I didn't see or hear it but everything was wet when I woke this morning... of course didn't notice at first as we were distracted by all the ants... stupid ants, don't they see all their dead friends, don't they get a clue... no, just send in more soldiers to be defeated... this time they were in the kitchen in Raisin's bowl, to which Raisin was meowing me his complaints... so cleaned up the ants, hubby made breakfast of eggs, ham and English muffins.... had a talk with son3, he got in a bit of trouble on Thursday, pushing and goofing around in line with his friends... of course the trouble got worse as he forgot to bring home the note on Thursday so phone call from teacher on Friday and then she sent home two notes... I'm not sure though if she was implying that son3 didn't bring home the note on purpose or she was just frustrated that he forgot it... Hubby will talk to her on Monday... She doesn't want to talk with me, I'm so frustrated with all this zero tolerance at school and the immediate call the parents about every little thing... Son3 did lose his recess and fun Friday at school and no video games this weekend, so moving on once again...

Also talked to son2 about him wanting to go paint balling with his friends next weekend and raising a cow, lol... We're like can't you start with a chicken or a rabbit.... He said he has always wanted to raise a cow since son1 was in high school... Ok when has he ever said this before last week, lol.... Meanwhile he is waiting for his friend to call so they can hangout...

Hubby has been off to work for three hours now and here I still sit.... still in my jammies, lol... I am half way through the laundry though and have kept up on the dishes all week... really need to do some bills and paperwork though and fill the bird feeders and do a bit of straighten up... Clean up son3's room a bit and then make my macaroni dish for Martha... Tomorrow it's back to work but just for a few hours to set the ad and then we are off to the Big Fresno Fair...
Happy Journaling...

I love our new blogs too! I feel much less stress not having all those alerts piling up in my mailbox. I do have a feeling though that I won't be commenting on all journals the way I use to because I don't feel under pressure. I guess we'll all have to get in our own groove over here.

Hope you're having a great weekend :-)

I had a problem with ants this past summer, pain in the bum...
I had to re-read raising a cow before it dawned on me, you were talking about an actual cow. I'm loving Blogger more and more each day. Here is a site for you to check out for different templates. It explains how it's done as well:

you know after we had the ant problem, we got some of those ant houses through Raid, put them inside and out and thank you Lord, no more ants; hope you get rid of them; they are such a pain!

we got a bit of rain too tonight but we were in church so missed the shower; figured it would rain, son washed car earlier in the day

I do like not having alerts stacking up in my mailbox; this system is less stressful and I feel I can take my time reading an entry instead of rushing through because of the number of alerts still to go

and I thought I was bad with 137journals on alerts; you weren't too far behind me :)

poor son3; I agree with you, zero tolernace works on some things, but not for every single little thing; too frustrating for all involved I think

fair sounds fun! enjoy! eat a funnel cake for me :)

it is not as easy for those who are private as it is for those who can be public. More of an effort has to be made.
a cow? Gee. Whatever happened to the kids wanting a rabbit?! lol
If they had zero tolerance here, Chad would have his own chair back in his elementary days. XO

How did I miss this journal?? Oh well, I'm here now. I hate ants....hate, hate!!! We used to have the greatest stuff that took care of them so fast, but they pulled it from the market. So now, we use the ant houses and they are okay...not as good, but they do the job. Good luck!
The fair sounds like so much fun....and yummy! Have a bite of a funnel cake for me :)
I'm liking this journal...it has things I still can't figure out, but it also has things I like better. Plus, I hated all the alerts piling up, it caused me soooo much stress. We'll get this, and by Christmas we will all be pros :)

Pooh Hugs,
Linda

Love the graphics! I'm so glad my girls are out of high school. I bumped heads with faculty on more than one occasion over stuff.
