Cooking

Now that hubby's home more nights for dinner, I've had to actually cook, lol... So since I was taking pictures for Martha's food challenge I took pictures of a few other dishes...

This was an experiment that failed, lol... I thought I would add pasta to the pork roast instead of potatoes, however I did it in the crock pot... I had never cooked pasta in the crock pot... It was a big mushy mess... Son2 and I tried it, very slimy with no taste... hubby wouldn't even try it... The roast came out good! I had also added some seasonings and brown gravy to the pot....
So in a pot on the stove I made another roast with potatoes and carrots as a back up, lol... with a mestique seasoning.... much better!! A dish that always comes out perfect is pasta with meatballs and texas toast... mmmmmmm..... Just Wednesday night I fried up some pork cube steak with a purple onion, oh it was so good with some BBQ sauce... And some honey cornbread... And then this morning I made son3 a waffle with a smiley face...
Happy Journaling...

Both my husband and daughter work the evening shift so, that leaves me home alone for dinner. meaning, I haven't been eating very good, can I come over for dinner?!?! :-)

You've been cooking up a storm lately! It all looks great! Yesterday, I just had a sample and got the recipe for pork schnitzel using cubed pork steaks. I'd never even heard of pork schnitzel - it was so good! I'll post the recipe when I give it a try :-)

Hi
I'm getting caught up here, I've had some bad days with a new medicine I'm taking, but today I've been able to sit up all day without being dizzy or sick.

Your food looks so wonderful...I think my hubby may want to be married to you in another life, maybe even this one!!!! LOL!

Loved the waffle....too cute :)

Pooh Hugs,
Linda
