Real Quick...

Son3 is well and off to school today... He did not make it to school yesterday but hubby had the day off so it worked out... I am so tired and so behind in everything... I was not motivated at work yesterday so just got all the boxes opened... I did have a brain storm at the end of the day and moved the woman's wall around so I now have more room to put out athletic shoes today... and I'm sure there are lots more boxes coming for me to open today... I just wish we could get past this visit on Friday... but then we have inventory at the end of the month... always something... I worked 10-5:30 yesterday... I do not like the staying til 5:30... by time I get home it is 6pm, hubby has dinner ready but we eat, get the boys ready for school, we watched Masters of Illusion, everyone was asleep by 9pm except me, I watched Two and a Half Men and Rules of Engagement and then I was asleep by 10pm... but I didn't get anything done around the house... hubby was able to run some errands during the day with son3 and got some yard work done... Today son3 has an eye check up appointment after school... Hubby will take him... I work 10-5 today... I'm afraid of how much homework we will have with him missing school yesterday... I am so glad I am off tomorrow... We were supposed to have rain all week but I have yet to see it... Time to get son3 up and start the day... Let's see how much laundry and dishes I can get done before I have to leave for work....

A New Week Begins...

Son3 is better!! He never did sleep yesterday til 3pm and then only for an hour... He was asleep by 9pm though and then woke up three times in the night throwing up... hubby got up with him, I had to be at work at 6am today.... I set the ad and then called home at lunch and son3 was keeping liquids down, drinking diluted Gatorade... after lunch supervisor talked my ear off for an hour and then it was time to go home... short day today... no hours this week with just me and supervisor all day and then one closer and that's it, still with a visit on Friday.... Before coming home though I picked up son2 some beach shirts that I had seen for him to put away for Easter and I got son3 some socks and jeans, he has outgrown his socks and jeans and I found hubby and I some green flannel sheets on clearance.... Came home to son3 chattering away, don't even know how many DVD's he has seen in the last two and a half days...

He's watching Cat in the Hat now... This week at school is Dr. Seuss week... I always forget to get ready for it by looking for Cat in the Hat stuff to buy... Monday is crazy hat day, Tuesday is crazy sock day, Wednesday is Thing One and Thing Two day, son3 has a shirt to wear that day, Thursday is pajama day, son3 didn't like the idea of wearing pjs to school, lol, and Friday is Red and White day.... So we are not even ready... I think the bigger kids get into it more anyway... Actually son3 said earlier he is not going to school tomorrow but then a little bit ago he said he feels great and he's going to school...
We are supposed to get rain tonight and maybe more during the week...
Hubby is off at the grocery store... Stuff for the week and thinking whats for dinner...
We watched Babylon AD, ok but wrapped the ending up too nicely leaving out a few details; and Deception, slow start but actually ended up having a few interesting but predictable twists and turns, City of Ember, good story idea but no emotion and it just ended... Tonight hopefully we can stay awake and finish a few of our shows we started this week...
March already.... I really need to get started on my taxes... lol...
Son2 finished the Twilight series and says he ain't talking.... I am still on book two... it's getting a little better...
Almost 4pm and I'm sure there is something I could be doing while hubby is at the grocery store, but can't think of anything...

Tired...

Son3 is sick....
Friday hubby got up for his third day of getting to work at 6am... His alarm goes off and he jumps out of bed, lol, he is used to leisurely getting out of bed at 7am... I told him he is going to hurt himself if he doesn't slow down at 4:45am... Of course I am also awake at this time, but I am used to it, although now I don't actually get up til 5:45am so I can get son2 off to the bus and then get son3 up at 7am to get ready to go to school... Except Thursday night at 2am he woke to say his head hurt... Hubby yelled out darn that cat... I said the cat is right here with us and not waking son3 up, lol... Of course the next day he did not remember saying anything... So anyway I get son3 up and he says his head still hurts, so I give him some Tylenol and by time he is brushing his teeth, he is singing... He did not eat breakfast though and I was very tempted to call out of work but off we went... 1pm I just sit down to lunch and I am being paged, it is the school, son3 is complaining his tummy hurts... I talk to son3 and then the school and arrange for hubby to pick up at 2pm since he is almost off of work... Of course I do ask unless you want me to pick up right now, no he can lay down in the nurse's office... almost got off work early, lol....
So I got off work at 5:30pm, came home to pizza and son3 in bed on his third movie... He hadn't eaten all day except for one bite of pizza...
Son2 was off to bed at 8pm to read the fourth book in the Twilight series that he got for Valentine's...
Hubby and I watched Terminator, Sarah Conner Chronicles, hubby was snoring half way through it and then Dollhouse, I was asleep half way through that one, lol...
We went to bed at 10pm, with son3 waking up at 11, throwing up, 12, 1, 2, 4, and then 7am, hubby had to get up for work... At 4am I put in a movie for son3 to take his mind off his tummy... I don't know how much sleep he has gotten... I'm used to the house being absolutely quiet when the boys are sick, but son3 has been moaning and calling me every half hour, poor thing... he was still throwing up at 8, 9 and 10, not that he has eaten anything except two sips of lemon lime soda and one fishy cracker... He has been quiet for an hour now but son2 says he is not asleep.... He's watching another movie...
I'm not thinking I'm gonna get much done today or maybe a whole lot done if he finally falls asleep... I'll gets lots of laundry done though... ewwwwww...
Hopefully next week we'll settle into our schedule's better... I told hubby I expect it to be a long time for him to adjust to his schedule... I've been working that schedule for over fifteen years so I'm used to it... The good thing now is everyone finally goes to sleep early, lol, like I never got to do...
Well now that the day is half over, I should get dressed and wander out to the backyard and see if anymore bulbs have come up....

We are Here! We are Here!

I feel like the Who's in Horton Hears a Who calling out to you all that we are here, lol... Can you hear me calling as I walk past the computer... I haven't written in the journal since over a week ago, how did that happen... I'm on the computer enough but still not enough time... Working 9-5 opens up time for some things but blocks out time for playing on computer... well of course then there is stupid facebook, lol... I love My Farm, Eco Racer and lots of other little applications that are fun to play...

So what have we been doing, I don't remember that far back, lol... It has been raining a lot! But today is Sunny and 66 with no rain til maybe tonight or Saturday...

We finally saw Wall-E, very cute...

At work we are getting ready for yet another visit for next Friday... we have a ton of hours this week... Working 9-5 isn't too bad, I have time in the morning to check email, throw in some laundry, load the dishwasher, get the boys to school and this or that... but then in the evening it's finish homework, dinner, watch a show to relax and fall asleep... Sunday I still go in at 6am to set the ad and Monday's I go in 7am but only if we have hours, like this past Monday...

Hubby worked his first 6-2pm yesterday but now today he is back to 10-7 for a training class, then the next two days 6am, so we will see how he is by Saturday... of course they have talked now of changing the store hours so he may go to 7-3pm, which doesn't work as well for school pick up....

Son3 has been doing better on spelling, his reading has improved, but he still brings home too much classwork.... I wonder if it is him or the teacher trying to do many things and they run out of time.... Hubby had a bit of a chat with her the other day but he may still have a conference with the counselor...

Son2 is doing fine... He seems to have grown into his 15 years lately... Gets up for school on his own... texts with his friend that is a girl every day giving her advise on her boyfriend that is also son2's friend, all the while finally admitting to us that he likes her too.... He is on book 3 of the Twilight series, I am on book 2... I still don't see what all the excitement is about so we debate over the books every so often...

Son1 called a week ago asking if he could move back home.... said girlfriend was cheating and he was going to confront her.... He was coming over on Sunday to talk... Son2 text him if he was coming over, he never said yes or no all day Sunday... he finally text son2 that he didn't want to be a burden by moving home... Son2 text him back that he was not a burden and to come home and pay off his bills and start fresh... Son1 has not responded... So we are waiting for the other shoe to fall....

All the trees in Fresno are blossoming pink and white... All the daffodils are blooming in the front yard and a couple of the bulbs I planted in the backyard are just pushing up through the ground... The rosebushes all have new leaves sprouting and the trees are also sprouting new leaves... The birds are busy at the bird feeders... Spring is here...

And other than that, you can see you haven't missed a thing, same things going on now that were going on a week ago, lol....

And as usual I have laundry, dishes and what's for dinner all waiting for me and the boys will be home from school soon and homework will begin...

Happy President's Day!!

I took a personal holiday today so we have all been home all day... We were going to take a drive to the snow but with all the rain that wasn't possible so we have been nice and cozy in the house... We slept in til nine, hubby made cranberry orange pancakes, blueberry muffins and fried eggs with hot chocolate... He has been playing computer games with the boys all day, but he did clean the microwave and checked on the yard in a few places where it is flooding... I did all the dishes, cleaned the counters, washed the kitchen floor, washed the bedding on mine and son3's bed and made brownies... For dinner we are having leftover bbq sandwiches, chicken strips, cole slaw, scalloped potatoes and green salad... And watching disc three of John Adams... quite appropriate for President's Day....

Yesterday I got to work at 6am to set the ad and found I got off work at noon... Yay! However I came home and spent too much time on the computer... The power went off two times yesterday too... When I first got home it was off for 45 minutes and then again later for about fifteen minutes... I did make a lot of yummy things for dinner, see leftovers above but I also ate too much chips and dips and too much soda... arggggggg..... I want to get back where I was before the holidays hit, when I was doing all the crunches and not drinking soda... I have a plan when hubby starts his new hours... So one more week... Meanwhile I am getting back into the frame of mind... of course part of the problem is I can't think about eating better cause then I eat... Have to be distracted and not be aware of my plan... That is why I like my new schedule, I won't be home from two to five snacking.... We also watched The Untouchables with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery, pretty good...

Valentine night hubby got home from work about 8pm and son2 and I had just put in When Harry Met Sally... hubby went off to change his clothes and get a snack, watch the news what have you and came back in the room just as the movie was ending, lol... So son2 and I spent time together eating conversation hearts and watching a romantic comedy... He loved the movie though laughing through the whole thing...

Hubby is putting in John Adams and I am off to heat up dinner... the boys need showers as it's back to school and work again tomorrow... Hubby got released from jury duty on the first call so that is a big relief off his mind.... And I just remembered I promised myself I would sort through some paper piles while I was watching the movie....

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope everyone is having a nice Valentine's day with their favorite Valentine's... We got to sleep in til almost 9am today... Hubby is closing tonight so we got to have a breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages, english muffins with apple butter and waffles and exchange our Valentine surprises before he left... In the last entry for the letter V there is a picture of the Valentine packages... I got hubby a shirt he wanted from Cabela's and a special hubby card with coupons to redeem for a date, a candlelit dinner and breakfast in bed... He of course made me a card and a devil in a mug, shown in the last entry... I was feeling festive this year so I got the boys treats too... Son3 got computer games, Ice Age the Melt down and Open Season and hubby got him a Star Wars figure... And I was worried cause son2's package hadn't arrived yet... I ordered him all four books to the Twilight series, so I printed out the pictures of the books and rolled it like a scroll and wrote on it coming to your front porch soon... It worked out perfect cause as we were eating breakfast I saw the mailman go by so after a bit I checked out the front window and there on the porch was the package so after son2 opened his scroll we told him to check the front porch and he didn't believe us, lol... so it was perfect timing... Hubby also got him the movie, The Punisher...

So I have installed both of son3's games that he is already bored with, son2 has already watched his movie, we are having some hot dogs, I have been loading pictures into the blog which has taken forever and I am not even dressed yet today and it is already 3:30pm...

I came home from work yesterday and son1 was over doing laundry... He's a bit tight in the funds at the moment and doesn't get paid for another week... He did say he has been finally getting more hours again... He had gotten a bit behind on his credit card payments but after his next paycheck that is caught up... He also got another fix it ticket on his car but said that is fixed just needs to get it signed off... However his landlord says he has his last warning for working on cars in the apartment complex and the next time he is evicted... And that he and girlfriend are on a break of some sorts... she has been staying at her mom's all week... she is mad cause he spends more time with his guy friends than with her... His dogs are doing good and the hamster cage needs cleaning... He named the new dog, Abby... He and son2 did the dishes while he was here and he helped hubby figure out why the new bulb for the van brake light wasn't working, so I can now drive the van again... I didn't want a fix it ticket... I sent him off with three bags of groceries and a a bit of money to cover his checking account til he gets paid... I'm sure he'll be back soon as he mentioned something about taxes needing doing...

It rained most of the week here, so nice... Today it is clear with blue skies and white puffy clouds... We are forcasted with more rain through Thursday and if we get another inch and a half we will finally be up to the normal range for this time of year...

The boys are watching Jack Frost and eating their hot dogs...

I was hoping to get in a lot of blog reading today, but I still want to see Ghost Whisperer from last night and maybe vacuum, clear up the dishes, put all the laundry away and maybe take a shower today.... Not to mention the forty something requests I have in Facebook, lol...

Thursday Evening...

I'm getting spoiled... I came home from work and homework is all done again... I told son2 if he continues to do homework with son3 on Tuesday and Thursday and I do Wednesday and Hubby does Monday, that would be a fair plan... and that I would even do son2's recyclable chore for him every day, he still has to do the garbage though...

Work wasn't too bad today.. I did notice that I am entering grumpy week though... I had an ad to set when I got there... Then it took me all the way til lunch to clean and stock the men's shoe clearance... and I still have one more row left to finish... then next week I will have room to start putting out the men's sandals... At lunch I started a new book, The Edge of Winter by Luann Rice... I'm intrigued already just after the first chapter... It's set in Rhode Island where it is still winter but then it will cover spring to summer... so I thought an appropriate time of year to read it... since we are awaiting spring now... Then after lunch I had quite a mountain of boxes to open, I finished about half of them.... new spring shoes are coming in and sandals too so lots to stock now... so my wondering what to do at work list is not a problem next week, lol... Tomorrow I will finish the clearance and finish the boxes...

Now we are waiting for hubby so I can heat up the left over teriyaki chicken, we can watch part 5 of John Adams, study spelling words, this week's words: babies, pennies, puppies, carried, hurried, knives, lives, wives, ponies and cookies... I want everyone to be settled in beds early tonight, by 9pm anyway so I can watch CSI... No Smallville or Supernatural tonight... and I think it was Fringe that won't return til April... Tomorrow night is Ghost Whisperer and Numbers plus Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles moves to Friday and Dollhouses, a new show by Josh Whedon airs... Two more movies from Nextflix came: Jack Frost with Michael Keaton left over from our Christmas list and Dead Space: Downfall for hubby and son2, too bloody for son3 and me...

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, insert evil laugh, hee hee hee.... I only have to work til 4pm though and then come home and finish all the Valentine surprises for Saturday morning... Hubby has to work late Saturday so I'm thinking we'll exchange Valentine treats in the morning, the boys have some surprises too... I'm still waiting for son2's to come in the mail, hopefully tomorrow....

Happy Journaling...

Tired...

I'm up... I'm tired... I don't wanna go to work... Since I go into work later now, I am staying up too late watching TV, lol... I've been staying up til after 11pm, ten was better... Just another week and we will all get to sleep early cause hubby will be getting up way early, lol... That is going to be so weird...

OK time to get motivated! Son2 is already off to school... Still another ten minutes or so before hubby gets up and then the chore of getting up son3 who has also been going to bed too late... Think we have all been getting a bit of spring fever... We have rain forecast all this week but the sun comes up and stays up a bit more and the buds are starting to bloom on the trees... A big storm blew over our town last night, dropping buckets of rain in minutes with hail and thunder and lightening...

We stayed up too late watching Part 3 and 4 of John Adams... Then I watched the end of CSI NY even though I was taping it while hubby was watching the news...

What am I going to do at work today... The supervisor is off for two days so it is just me in the morning but then I do get lunch relief and help in the afternoons... I want to clean the men's and athletic clearance racks and fill them... There should be a bit of boxes to open... I still have a bit of stocking to do... The staying til five is getting old already, lol... Thursdays usually aren't too busy but it is almost Valentine's... I'm sure I'll find something to do to keep busy...

I got everything done on my list yesterday!! Yay me!

Happy Journaling...

Lots to do today...

I am off today and surrounded by my lists, lol.... I have been up for over four hours and yet here my butte is still in this chair, lol... But I have got son2 off to school, hubby and son3 up and son3 off to school and hubby off to work... I cleared out all my requests in Facebook, had a fried egg sandwich, checked my emails, made the lists and printed out a list of all the blogs I read... I am still having trouble keeping track of who belongs to which blog with all the blog name changes and actual names instead of screen names... I did the same thing at the beginning of journals too and after five years of journaling I could recognize everyone at a glance... lol... I have met new people now too and I am getting every one confused... We are not allowed to all have the same names... Popular names in journaling: Linda, Lisa and Barbara... So now I will have my check sheet of who's who....

Work was not as crazy yesterday but it was Tuesday when all the needy people come out to shop... There could be only two customers but they both need help at the same time with everything and there is just one me so they are mad... I did stock some more work boots, fix displays, almost finished with price changes, pulled some recalled shoes, moved the shoe accessories to a different location, so I could put out more women's hanging sandals... I also figured out that we sold 89 pairs of shoes on Monday... And yesterday we had sold 52 pairs by 4:30pm... I don't know how this compares to our norm cause I have never kept track before but it sure seems like a lot due to the economic times...

The boys surprised me yesterday and had all their homework done by time I got home from work, so I just had to fix dinner... The nights go by a bit quicker now that I am home later so after dinner it was time for baths, the boys to bed and hubby and I watched Fringe... It was a bit freaky last night...

Today from Netflix we are getting disc 2 and 3 of John Adams... son2 is excited, I'm not being sarcastic, it's really good...

Now today I've gotta start getting all the Valentine things together to wrap the Valentine surprises as they arrive... Download pictures off the camera... Laundry, dishes of course... Vacuum, Holly sheds everywhere, looks like it snowed in the house... Make dinner, maybe some teriyaki chicken... or fried chicken... but teriyaki is easier and the chicken is not thawed yet.... clean up the dining room table of everything dumped there... and go to Target for a few unmentionables and Valentine cards for son3's party at school....

Happy Journaling...

***Tuesday***

Work was crazy yesterday!! It's not officially the holiday til next Monday but our schools have yesterday and next Monday off for President's day... So everyone brought their kids in to buy shoes... I think we sold about 35 pairs by 2pm... I forgot to check at 5pm before I left... So I was hopping all day and trying to stock the men's work boots... what normally takes me about two hours took me all day and I still have a bit more that can go out... I also did two other processes that took about an hour each... But it was just me and supervisor all day and she was manager on duty for half the day... so between the two of us we were trying to do our projects, keep the floor clean and help customers... We had a power failure about 12:30pm... We are supposed to direct the customers to the exits but these people weren't budging for nothing... Luckily it was only off for a minute... But our system was then offline for a half hour... Plus then all afternoon the managers were all a bit testy with each other and tempers were flaring... I just noticed this morning a large moon up in the sky, well that explains a few things, lol... I, however was on my best behavior all day and with chuck on his way any day now... lol...

Hubby and the boys maintained the house yesterday while I was gone... Hubby did some grocery shopping, made son3 an eye appointment for next month, had dinner heated up for when I got home, son3 read some books to son2, son2 however did not write his thank you notes yet for his bday, and they all played computer games, even hubby....

Hubby and I watched Wanted last night... that was a strange movie... about ten minutes in I was about to turn it off with all the bad language and such but then it finally got interesting and we found ourselves laughing a lot, was it supposed to be a comedy... lots of impossible reality with special effects and twists and turns to the plot, so it ended up being an OK movie...

Son2 is off to school, I've had my hour on the computer, it's time for hubby and son3 to get up, the tooth fairy came last night, and I'm off to the shower and then to work to see if I get anything done today... It can't be any worse than yesterday although Tuesday is usually our busiest day... We're expecting more rain tonight and all the way through the weekend...

**Monday**

The Tooth is Out!!! Hubby was finally able to pull it out after son3 fell asleep last night... The Tooth Fairy can claim it tonight and we are done with baby teeth, lol...
The tri tip and veggies were delicious last night! I forgot to mention I also added a purple onion...
We watched Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, so funny and part two of John Adams, so interesting...
Everyone is still asleep... It is hubby's day off and the boys have a day off for Lincoln's Birthday... I however am up and ready for work... I did get to sleep in til 7am, since I am working these new hours of 9-5pm... It is going to be a long day, lol... We have leftovers though and no homework... The boys will be in bed early for school tomorrow and hubby and I can watch Wanted...

Saturdays

Another Saturday coming to an end... I have been lazy today... Not even looking at my list of things to do... No pressure, lol... Last night I cooked beef enchiladas, cheese quesadillas, corn and salad for dinner... It was a burn day so I started a fire in the fireplace... We had planned on watching part two of John Adams, started watching The Untouchables and ended up watching Underworld... I fell asleep at one part but made it through most of it this time... I fell asleep right after it though and hubby fell asleep half way through Numbers... We were in bed fast asleep by 11pm with son3 calling out at 3:30am for someone to turn on the hall light... He sleeps with a small light on his room and the hall light, which we turn off and hope he doesn't notice til morning... I was then awakened by a cat meowing at 6am, thought it was Holly but she was asleep with son3 so it must have been one of Holly's gentlemen callers outside...

We need to get her fixed as soon as possible, she is drawing attention from all the male cats in the neighborhood that are not fixed... I'm also wondering if she has a bladder of steel as she never goes that I can see... She does not use the litter box, she refuses to go out unless we go with her and then we don't see her do anything... We have only found a couple of accidents in the garage and one behind the chair in the front room, so what, she only goes once a month, lol...

Today hubby had to close to cover for another associate who had a family matter to attend to, they gave hubby a thank you note and gift card for McDonald's for switching his schedule to accommodate their vacation... So he was home this morning for family breakfast time and we got to sleep in til 8am... So talking with the boys, showering, trying to get son3 to pull his tooth and getting hubby to work was the extent of the morning...

Yesterday son3's school called me at work... During lunch recess he bonked with another boy hitting his mouth and causing his two month long loose tooth to bleed... I was like yay it came out but no it is still hanging by a thread... The poor lady in the office was flustered as he would not even let her look at it... So I got them both calmed down and went on with my day... Meanwhile it poured all day yesterday with flooding and thunder even... So hubby was worried about the boys getting home from school... Then at pick up son3 got in trouble for lying to his teacher that he had the missed work in his backpack from when he was in the office cause he thought he would get in trouble from us for bringing home classwork cause he was in the office.... When he wasn't in trouble til he lied and got in worse trouble... argh.... So no computer games for him last night and he had to do the math page as soon as he got home even though he has three days off... Of course then meanwhile the tooth is barely hanging by a thread and he still won't pull it out or let us touch it... So he was on a time out this morning, threatened him with no movies and no games, but nothing works... so the latest is I told him he has til tomorrow, but Monday me and his dad are pulling it out the hard way... with drama and trauma.... the new tooth is almost all the way in...

So this afternoon he and son2 played Heroscape, although son2 is grumpy and snappy today, watched Madagascar 2, Space Buddies (son3's fourth time), son3 is playing computer games, son2 and I watched Bones, and now son2 is doing his chores and as soon as I finish this entry I'm off to do a second load of dishes, fold laundry and watch Ghost Whisperer...

I also cooked tomorrow's dinner today... I don't really follow recipes... I use what I have, maybe look up a recipe for temperatures or seasoning suggestions... But usually I just experiment with the basics... Hubby says my experiments always come out good.... So I took 3 mini tri tip roasts and put them in the big turkey pan with two cans of chicken broth, apple vinegar, seasonings, can of pineapple with juice, potatoes and carrots and cooked it for about two hours.... I sampled a potato wedge, mmmmmmm, gonna be good....

I also mailed out the bday cards today and spent awhile on facebook and read through some blogs...

Not too much at work, I have mostly just been opening boxes to be ready for inventory next month and I am still getting used to these later hours... Tomorrow I go in early to set the ad and then work til 2pm...

~~Changes~~

Well hubby's work finally decided on his new schedule... I don't know if I'm just fine with it or I am in shock and it hasn't hit me yet, lol... For the last 15 years I have been the go into work early mom so I can be home for the boys and for the last 10 years hubby has been the work at night dad so he could be home in the morning for the boys... The last 6 months hubby has been trying to get on more of a day schedule so he can be home with his family in the evenings... The last 4 years I have been grateful that I had a job in shoes after they eliminated my supervisor position and was allowed to still go in early even though technically no associate is needed in shoes til the store opens at 9:30 or 10... Which is why recently with the shortage of hours I changed my availability to come in a bit later and stay a bit later on some days....

Well I guess I was practicing for my new schedule cause are you ready for hubby's new schedule...........

He now works: 5:45am-2pm... I'm laughing at him, lol... until he gets used to this he will be falling asleep a lot....

Of course it means I can no longer be available early in the morning for work except on Sunday and Monday, his days off.... Of course I will still be getting up early cause I will hear hubby getting ready for work and I still have to make sure son2 is up and off to the bus and now I will have to get son3 ready for and off to school.... Plus I am liking that I have a bit of time on the computer in the morning now to do an entry...

So now I will be going into work at 9am and getting off any where between 4pm and 6pm... So the biggest adjustment will be the evening routine of who starts homework and who makes dinner... OK so lots of changes for hubby, lol... but at least he will have afternoons now to do his chores and make appointments that he used to do in the morning before he started going in at 9:30am and lost his morning chore time... I've already started doing some of my chores in the morning like loading the washer and dishwasher since I have already been going in later...

So except for hubby being tired for a while and me not liking staying at work past 3pm, I am finding a few good things with this new schedule... I know I haven't been liking the schedule we have now of both of us getting home later in the evening... Of course hubby's work gave him no choice, it was either open or move to another store at a different position and go back to closing... To adhere to the economy they are going by the book now and that requires hubby's position to open although they have always scheduled him where they needed him as he is the most dependable... we are wondering however if he will ever get a vacation... it was hard for him to get a vacation before and could not have Friday and Saturday as he was the closer... now he is the only opener... he has over 100 hours of vacation in his bank... hmmmmmmm.....

And due to the economy I had also opened up my availability so I could work later not knowing that I was getting ready for hubby's schedule change... I will let the supervisor know today... I'm sure though that when hours pick up she will still go in early and I will be staying later then her most days.... but then I always get my vacation and I have five weeks a year, which I have already put in for the week of Easter... Hope I just didn't get cocky and jinx myself, lol....

But now today is Friday... Yay... I'm sure I'll still have Wednesday's and Saturday's off... Hey I just realized with my hours opened up I could be a supervisor... NO! Just kidding... they get downsized and lose their jobs... I'm safer being an associate...

It's raining today... Smallville and Supernatural were good last night... Still need to watch Bones... Tonight I will tape Ghost Whisperer and Numbers and hubby and I will watch part two of John Adams... Son3 has already watched Space Buddies twice... He loves it and wants us all to watch it this weekend, lol...

I'm off to jump in the shower before hubby... Don't know why I'm so ahead of the day today... Looking forward to the boys having a three day weekend... And being a Gemini (we get bored easily) I'm kinda excited about this new change in schedules... I wasn't liking hubby's schedule of 9:30-6pm and him not getting home til 7pm or later if he stopped at the store to pick up milk... Not that I want to be the one getting home at 7pm...

Happy Journaling...
Just as I was about to hit publish our power went out... for about an hour... but it's back on now, we were able to finish getting ready for the day and we are off to it.... in the pouring rain...
