Stephen King can be seen in all of his screenplay adaptations of his books if just for a moment or two…
I have seen every movie or TV show by Stephen King…
And as the book is always better then the movie, in the case for Stephen King, that is true, except for Stand By Me, based on a short story called The Body…
Stephen King indicated, on the special features of the 25th anniversary Blu-ray set, that this is the first successful translation to film of any of his works.
This is Roland, the Gunslinger…
I followed Roland on his quest to the Dark Tower from the very first Dark Tower Book in 1982 (senior in high school) til the last book in 2004 (three years after all three sons were born)… If you’ve read the series, I’d like to hear your take on the ending…
After reading the series for 22 years and waiting to get to the dark tower and finding out what is there for Roland, we find ourselves at the beginning, for Roland can not have adventures without us dear readers to take him there, so we must read the books again so that Roland can continue on his quest to reach the Dark Tower with his friends Jake, Eddie, Susannah and Oy…
I did start rereading the series a few years ago, but had so many other new books to read that I set them aside…
He added The Wind Through the Keyhole in 2012 that could be considered book 4.5…
There was talk of bringing the Dark Tower to big screen/TV but they claim it’s just too big of a project to take on…
You can now follow Roland in The Dark Tower Graphic Novels…
Season 2 of Under the Dome starts June 30th…
I have this book but have not read it yet… It is so big, 1072 pages…
If you are watching the series, keep in mind the book takes place in only a weeks time…
I don’t own everything Stephen King has ever written, but I’m pretty sure I have read everything… many from the library…
The above pictures are of my bookcases…
I am currently reading Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining…
Stephen King also writes as Richard Bachman…
“He took on his own reality, that's all, and when his cover was blown, he died. I made light of this in the few interviews I felt required to give on the subject, saying that Richard Bachman had died of cancer of the pseudonym, but it was actually shock that killed him: the realization that sometimes people just won't let you alone. Put another way, Bachman was the vampirish side of my existence, killed by the sunlight of disclosure. My feelings about all this were confused enough (and fertile enough) to bring on a book (a Stephen King book, that is), The Dark Half. It was about a writer whose pseudonym, George Stark, actually comes to life. It's a book my wife has always hated, perhaps because, for Thad Beaumont, the dream of being a writer overwhelms the reality of being a man; for Thad, delusive thinking overtakes rationality completely, with horrific consequences.” Stephen King
