January Fifth
Seems last I wrote we were putting away Halloween and having car trouble…
Now we are putting away Christmas and still having car trouble…
Hubby’s car is fixed…
Son2 got a new car…
And my van is in the shop getting the transmission serviced…
I’m also having washer trouble…
It has stopped spinning…
Our second GE washer in 16yrs…
I’m thinking of getting a different brand and a bigger tub size…
Buying a washer is hard…
I think I have it narrowed down to three choices…
A Kenmore, Whirlpool or a Samsung…
I think I know which one and then I start reading the reviews and get confused again…
January Seventh
Picked up the van yesterday and didn’t cost an arm or a leg…
Meanwhile on the washer decision…
I have changed my mind again and want to go with a GE, which is what we have…
But upgrade to a bigger version…
However it is not available to be delivered until the end of the month…
My old washer is not spinning at all, can I keep using it til then and continue to ring out clothes to be put in the dryer…
I’ve just been putting in very small loads and only washing the essentials…
I’m watching the lil ninja turtle today…
He’s 16 months old now…
He’s taking a nap, so came on the computer to order a washer…
But I have not… what to do, what to do…
My goodies I got for Christmas… the ones on the right are nightgowns…
I’ve just realized I have not shared Christmas pictures yet…
January Eighth
I have been on vacation this week…
Sunday hubby and I went to Big Lots, Lowes (to look at washers) and Walmart…
Monday take the van to the shop and wait around all day for them to call…
Tuesday watch lil ninja turtle…
Wednesday pick up the van and go to work to make the schedule and then relax at home watching Hallmark channel movies…
Thursday watch lil ninja turtle…
Friday (today) vacuum and clean the bathrooms… done…
Hubby is supposed to get off early today around one…
At his new supervisor job at his new Office Depot store he works up to an hour and a half overtime every day…
And yet they cut hours this week as they are over… ya think…
the plan for today is grocery store…
The boys are coming to the end of their three week vacation…
They have been staying up all night and sleeping all day…
Monday is going to be painful in the morning…

4.3 cu. ft. Top Load Washer w/ Exclusive Triple® Action Impeller – White
I made a decision and just now ordered the above Kenmore washer…
It will come next Saturday… since hubby will be home…
Yesterday hubby did get off early and we went to the grocery store…
I made teriyaki chicken with rice for dinner…
and we watched Riddick with Vin Diesel…
Today hubby made waffles, eggs and spam for breakfast…
We had breakfast talk time with the boys…
I washed the dishes and hubby put away some Christmas…
I’ve done three small loads of laundry today and it is spinning…
We had a small power surge, wonder if that had something to do with it…
Today is last day of vacation…
It is going fast…
For dinner I am going to fix chicken enchiladas, quesadillas, taquitos, beans & chips and a chocolate cake…
In November I had my 35 year anniversary at work…
Every five years after twenty years we can pick something from the catalog they offer…
So I picked the above Cuisinart Griddler…
I’ve fixed hamburgers on it and chicken for the chicken noodle soup…
It’s very easy to clean…
Just pop off the grills and put them in the dishwasher…
It rained all day on Wednesday…
It was supposed to rain all day today but only sprinkled for a minute…
I still have Christmas Thank You cards to write…
and some work papers to read and organize for back to work tomorrow…
and a whole list of stuff now that vacation is coming to an end…
But then I knew this was just a get the car and washer fixed kind of vacation…
and we have a whole new year to get projects done…
I hear the rain now!!!
I was not able to post from livewriter and had to paste into blogger so hopefully the font size is not too crazy...
Happy Journaling…
