I’ve read Dracula and seen the various movie adaptations…
I recently bought the sequel to Dracula written by Bram Stoker’s great grand nephew Dacre Stoker…
My first love of Vampires started with The Vampire Lestat created by Anne Rice…
But then Joss Whedon created the TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel…
And Spike became my favorite Vampire…
We followed both series on TV and then rewatched them all on DVD…
We loved Moonlight but sadly it only lasted one season…
I read the Twilight series of course… It was the most torturous six weeks ever… I enjoyed the third book the best… Of course I own the DVDs and watched all the movies, the last two just recently, as I feel the series is a part of history in time…
A friend at work got me hooked on True Blood but I am a couple of seasons behind as we no longer receive DVDs from Netflix and I do not have HBO…
So son2 bought me the book series the Christmas before… Once you get past the first book it does not mirror the TV version at all… Which is better as you can enjoy it for what it is without constantly comparing it to the TV characters… I’m on Book Four…
I do not like mixing my Vampires with Werewolves at all… Except for Alcide in True Blood… He can stay…
I discovered this Children’s Series a few years ago and son2 bought these for me one Christmas too… Pirates that are Vampires, how can you go wrong… I’ve finished the first four already… It’s quite good…
And of course you can’t have Vampires without Van Helsing, here played by Hugh Jackman…
Who’s your favorite Vampire or are you on the Werewolves side…
Happy Journaling…
