February Twenty First

Pictures from the yard from a couple of days ago…

When I was first over being sick I was so refreshed and rested…

But Tuesday the crazy lady came back and I was so grumpy…

Then Wednesday til now I just feel down…

I stopped taking my green tea/berry tablet and I don’t feel so fat and bloated… plus I have continued to eat better and less since being sick… so I may have actually lost 7-9 pounds depending on the day…

I want to have positive thoughts and take one day at a time… but there is so much to do at work and so many visits/audits coming… and I know in the past we had the same thing and failed the visits and yet we are all still here… but I just want to feel accomplished… Every day I say I will only worry about today… so I go to work, do my paper work, hold the manager phone, try to give direction to bodies that are also running crazy, open a box or two and then the day is over and we start all over the next day with nothing to show that we did anything… or anything checked off the list to get ready for the visits/audits…

I spent over an hour this morning doing paperwork for work on my own time and I text and called into work to give direction… I now close today, tomorrow and Sunday… we’ll see if I am able to get anything done in the department with my closing manager duties for the store plus being the weekend so my associates are busy ringing at the cash wraps instead of being in the department cleaning and assisting customers…

See I sound so negative… I will be positive… We can do everything!

Hubby finally got a minute to work in the yard and cut down more of the lemon tree…

Even hubby is working 35-38 hours at his part time job… we are so grateful for him to have a job and to get so many hours… but just seems all we do is work… probably with working retail we do not have a set schedule so we can’t tell the difference between a work day and a play day with someone always at work or school… we don’t have “weekends”…

Speaking of which… time to get ready to go to work now for me… hubby is already at work…

Remember when I complained he wasn’t at work… lol… I’m glad he’s at work… but now he’s not getting his chores done around the house…

I’ll be glad when the sun says up longer… I noticed we change the clocks, I think, next month…

One of the ways that we release God's power, or hinder it, is through the words we speak.

As soon as you get a problem, pray. The moment you pray, you release God's power.

Yep, we do change the clocks next month; it will be nice for the extra light in the evenings. It is hard if you don't get those weekends or at least days off together. I can see why it can be frustrating to work schedules like that but I know you are glad he is working. I think with your work all you can do is what you are doing; just do the best you can and if you fail an audit, so be it. Don't try to stress out too much about it.

I've found that living one day at a time is best. Do what you can with what you have. Make the most of the moments you do have. Worrying is not ever going to solve anything. I think it's great the employees are busy at the cash registers. That means sales are good. That should count for a lot.

I think its this transition period from Winter to Spring that is kicking a lot of us in the ole emotion department. I've been feeling overwhelmed at work, too. Just a lot going on right now and suspenses, some I'm making happen...others I'm late but trying to do my best. Hang in there, spring is coming! :-)
