May Sixth and Seventh

 

 

Lots of pictures in today’s entry… I still haven’t posted the pictures of the hike to Lewis Creek waterfall…

Yesterday was a good day at work…

I made a plan and stuck to it as best I could…

I did have an associate call out and another got pulled away to do other tasks…

I had planned since I was getting off early to come home, take hubby for a walk and make a nice dinner… but I got home at 3pm and then it was 5pm and son3 had homework and I heated up a pizza and pot pies and we watched Game of Thrones… and played games on our phones…

Today I was up early, hubby got the boys to school and we were off to the half price book store… I found eight books to buy and hubby found a Star Wars graphic novel for son3… I told hubby to put away six of my books for Mother’s Day… then we went to Walmart to get a few groceries… hubby and I went for a walk around the orchard and today I made pork with peppers, onions, celery, squash, zucchini all mixed in a teriyaki, honey bbq, soy sauce…

I had my white chocolate bunny from Easter tonight for dessert… We watched Brain Games, How I Met Your Mother, Mike & Molly, Two Broke Girls and now Castle…

Son2’s strawberries that he moved into the strawberry pot that I’ve had for several years from the boys…

Repotted this cactus into a bigger pot…

May Fifth

 

Just finished watching Bones, now we are getting ready to watch Castle… All the season finales are starting…

Hubby is fixing ice cream with strawberries and bananas with caramel sauce…

I have a headache…

Last night work went well and fast although it felt like I was gone for days by time I got home…

Today I was back at work bright and early… One associate called out so we didn’t quite get the ad set… I’m going in early tomorrow to get a head start on the day… I stayed an hour over today but it wasn’t enough…

There’s just so much to do and never enough time or people…

I had planned on going for a walk with hubby when I got home and fixing something fancy for dinner but by time I got home and settled it was 5pm… So I heated up a pizza to go with the pasta and there was leftover turkey burgers and hot dogs…

We are having friends and family tonight at Sears from 6pm-9pm and online too so I ordered a lantern for son2 to carry for his reaper costume for Halloween… I saved over eight dollars and I got twenty percent in shop your way reward points… On Saturday I won ten dollars in points from a sweepstake I entered for Craftsman Demo Days… I can always use my points to order books from KMart…

I was teasing son2 that if he got a job he may not be home for Halloween this year… and he said well it will be the year that nothing in the yard came to life, lol, and that all the people would still be scaring themselves wondering what would move…

My ice cream is ready and time to watch Castle…

Hubby made very fancy ice cream like sundae with nuts on top even…

Sometimes your body gets sick so that you are forced to slow down and become aware of the messages of your heart and the desires of your spirit. Only when you step outside from the daily treadmill, can you attune to these more subtle inner callings. Don’t wait to get sick before listening to these important inner messages.

May Third and Fourth

 

Got to work yesterday and hit the floor running… Got lots of little things done, but none of the main projects I wanted to do, so hopefully today I will at least get the saw blades out that I have been promising my manager all week…

Today son3 is going to a birthday party with swimming and video gaming… He signed the card this morning and drew a picture inside of all of them in the swimming pool… He is too excited…

Hubby brought son2 yesterday to Game Stop so they could get a gift card for the party… While they were there, son2 ended up helping a lady find what she was looking for so hubby told him why don’t you ask them for an application… they were all out so son2 printed one from online, filled it out and they brought it right back… Son2 was nervous and then ended up helping someone again while he was there… so who knows maybe they will call him for an interview… he’s obviously qualified…

I close again tonight, another associate needed to trade for the day… it worked out though as she is going to close for me tomorrow, so I’ll be able to be there in the morning to help set up the ad…

Hubby is making breakfast and almost time to get ready for work…

I do have next weekend off for Mother’s Day… work decided that all the girl managers will have Mother’s Day off and the guy managers will have Father’s Day off…

Son1 was already by this morning bright and early borrowing tools from hubby to work on someone’s screen door installation…

generosity will make you rich.

The best thing to do if you're feeling poor is to give something away. Give a few dollars to a homeless person, some clothes to a thrift store or pay for the person behind you at the drive through. Instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus on what you do have and how you can bless others with it. Being able to give is a Divine gift in itself.
