Stephen King can be seen in all of his screenplay adaptations of his books if just for a moment or two…
I have seen every movie or TV show by Stephen King…
And as the book is always better then the movie, in the case for Stephen King, that is true, except for Stand By Me, based on a short story called The Body…
Stephen King indicated, on the special features of the 25th anniversary Blu-ray set, that this is the first successful translation to film of any of his works.
This is Roland, the Gunslinger…
I followed Roland on his quest to the Dark Tower from the very first Dark Tower Book in 1982 (senior in high school) til the last book in 2004 (three years after all three sons were born)… If you’ve read the series, I’d like to hear your take on the ending…
After reading the series for 22 years and waiting to get to the dark tower and finding out what is there for Roland, we find ourselves at the beginning, for Roland can not have adventures without us dear readers to take him there, so we must read the books again so that Roland can continue on his quest to reach the Dark Tower with his friends Jake, Eddie, Susannah and Oy…
I did start rereading the series a few years ago, but had so many other new books to read that I set them aside…
He added The Wind Through the Keyhole in 2012 that could be considered book 4.5…
There was talk of bringing the Dark Tower to big screen/TV but they claim it’s just too big of a project to take on…
You can now follow Roland in The Dark Tower Graphic Novels…
Season 2 of Under the Dome starts June 30th…
I have this book but have not read it yet… It is so big, 1072 pages…
If you are watching the series, keep in mind the book takes place in only a weeks time…
I don’t own everything Stephen King has ever written, but I’m pretty sure I have read everything… many from the library…
The above pictures are of my bookcases…
I am currently reading Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining…
Stephen King also writes as Richard Bachman…
“He took on his own reality, that's all, and when his cover was blown, he died. I made light of this in the few interviews I felt required to give on the subject, saying that Richard Bachman had died of cancer of the pseudonym, but it was actually shock that killed him: the realization that sometimes people just won't let you alone. Put another way, Bachman was the vampirish side of my existence, killed by the sunlight of disclosure. My feelings about all this were confused enough (and fertile enough) to bring on a book (a Stephen King book, that is), The Dark Half. It was about a writer whose pseudonym, George Stark, actually comes to life. It's a book my wife has always hated, perhaps because, for Thad Beaumont, the dream of being a writer overwhelms the reality of being a man; for Thad, delusive thinking overtakes rationality completely, with horrific consequences.” Stephen King

My mom is a huge Stephen King fan. I don't know if she knows about his alias.
I love the Bachman books! and I'll read KING when I know it's not going to turn to horror. I prefer his sci-fi fantasy thriller stuff.
Your collection is inspiring!
Didn't Alfred Hitchcock always take some role in his films too? Love the house!
I haven't read many of his books because I get too scared..lol..
I had just read the book Christine and then worked the late shift at the hospital and had to walk alone to my car...I was SURE one of the cars was going to start up and come for me..funny now, but let me tell you, I WAS SCARED...lol...

I read all of Stephen King's books that were available when I was a teenager, but haven't read any of the more recent ones. I think Dreamcatcher just killed it for me.... That book sucked. And the movie was even worse.
Although I am intrigued by Dr. Sleep.
He's quite the prolific writer, isn't he? I think I might have said before but I read Salem's Lot when I was like 19 years old. It scared me so much I returned the book the next day to the library and never read anything else by him, though I have seen a few of his movies, but a very few :)
betty
I have read some of his books and watched his shows but not all of them this is something my husband has done and will do every time there is a new book or show. But I would love love love to have his home.
I think I've read everything Stephen King has written although I didn't read all of Danse Macabre. The music in Stand By Me probably makes the adaptation equal to the book. The Dark Tower series is excellent. Reading Stephen King's work is better than taking a course in creative writing.

First time I heard he had an alias...not a huge SK fan but when you start watching you just can't quit....and it made me look at clowns in a whole different way...lol
