Today’s pictures are from Sunday morning…
Gerberas blooming in the front yard… Amongst the fall leaves that still need raking…
Where have I been the last four days… Work of course… Friday I closed… Saturday I had a day shift… Sunday I closed… And Monday I had a day shift… We have been super busy… Everyone out spending their tax returns, I guess…
I have been in a good mood… Hormones are gone at the moment… Or I am just going with the flow of things and not fighting it… Or my taking three Gabapentin a day instead of two is keeping me quieter…
Hubby and son2 finally finished topping off the lemon tree…
Hubby used his new hedge trimmer to cut the neighbors vine back… we cut ours all the way down and will decide where to move it and then just let the neighbors grow on to our side and trim theirs…
Our palm trees in the back yard…
Son2’s strawberries came back again this year…
Hubby’s department has two new associates this week… so hubby is only closing one night and has a bit less hours this week… I reminded him he is part time… he still has 28 hours…
Son2 spent most of the weekend at his friend’s apartment…
Son3 on his XBox if he’s not at school… he’s doing homework now, algebra and science…
Tulips ready to bloom…
Son1 text me Monday… since they will be able to find out the sex of the baby they want everyone to get together this coming Friday night so they can tell everyone together… They wanted to meet at Cool Hand Lukes for dinner… Hubby is off Friday but that is my night to close… so they are going to come over to our house on Saturday for dinner instead… and still get together with DIL’s family and friends on Friday…
It’s a daily process but I’m doing good with my eating for Lent… This is the hardest part of the day as it is when I want to snack… from 3pm to dinner time… I had a tomato sandwich at 3 and a yogurt at 3:30, late lunch… I put a lasagna in the oven at 4:30 for dinner… so I know I can’t be hungry so it is just the snacks calling my name… I am as far away from the kitchen that I can get, ignoring the call… I have been snacking on peanuts in the shell after dinner this past weekend… thinking that I have to work to get to the peanuts by shelling them and that peanuts are healthier then chips… however chips have 70 calories from fat and peanuts have over 110 calories from fat… so still need to find a healthier snack… or not have a snack as I just had dinner…
I never did finish cutting the roses back this winter and now they have come in full force… greener then they were last year…
Japanese Maple on the right full of bees…
Picture on the right, two more vines we cut back that I want to move… I don’t feel right that our vines go over the fence into our neighbors yards… so I want to move them to the side fence by the street and they can come into our yard…
Back yard… overlay if you move the right picture over to the left a bit, it would show the whole yard together…
Monday morning sunrise that I took before work…
We changed all the clocks this Saturday night for daylight savings time but I did not realize that my alarm clock had a built in feature where it changed the time on it’s own… so I changed it before going to bed on Saturday and then it changed again at 2am… since I closed on Sunday I did not use my alarm clock… however come Monday morning my clock went off at 6:30am… I went to get son3 up for school and ask why he didn’t set his clock, he said he did, and then I asked why he didn’t change to the new time, he said he did, I said hold on, went to check the clocks in the kitchen, saw they all said 5:30am, told him to go back to sleep, set mine to the correct time, reset the alarm to go off and laid in bed until it was time to get up… Silly alarm clock…
The following pictures are from today…
Lots of tulips almost blooming…
Today hubby got the boys off to school/college… I made hubby and I ‘egg mcmuffins’ for breakfast… we watched an episode of Haven… went to the grocery store, put all the groceries away… hubby picked up son2 and today son2 drove on the freeway for the first time… now the boys are doing their chores/homework… hubby has been working on his art work today… making shamrocks/butterflies/mushrooms…
Pumpkins coming up on the right…
Still need to go put the laundry away that I washed today… clean out my apron for work… go through the paperwork I brought home from work… have dinner… and watch some TV shows…
Joyce Meyer Ministries
Galatians 6:9 encourages us to keep doing what's right, for in time we shall reap God's blessings. There is a right time for all things in our lives, and there is safety in being in God's perfect timing. Being frustrated will not make Him hurry. Enjoy today.
Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...
peace will come when you let the presence of God settle into your heart.
If there is to be peace in the world, there must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, there must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, there must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, there must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, there must be peace in the heart.

LOL about the alarm clock; I knew computers changed time and cell phones, but never an alarm clock! How exciting to fnd out the sex of the baby! Glad you'll have a chance to see them soon after they find out so you can share in their excitement :)

I loved seeing all your flowers there ! How nice to have that color all around you. Here we are getting more snow. Here we go again. Will winter ever end? We keep hoping it's the last storm of the season then another comes along. It'll be exciting for you to see whether it'll be a boy or girl for your son and his wife. My youngest son and his wife are to find out this week what they'll be having too. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
