February Twenty Fifth

Romans 4:1-5, 13-17

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about – but not before God. What does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a fight, but as an obligation. However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

it was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

Therefore, the promise comes by faith , so that is may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. As it is written: I have made you a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom be believed – the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as through they were.

We’re watching The Oscars on DVR… can skip the commercials that way…

Hugh Jackman is performing from Les Miserables… I’ll be back…

We will be getting that movie…

Today was a nice fast day and I got all my scans and reports done…

Hubby went to his meeting with EDD which was actually in the mall where I work… it was ten minutes since he had all his paperwork and has been doing everything correctly… those that weren’t prepared were there much longer… they also referred him to Workforce Connection in the mall where he could use their facilities for computer, internet, copy machines and faxing… but he already has all that at home…

He had his phone interview at 3pm… very awkward doing phone interviews as you can’t see the other person’s reactions to your answers… so he felt that could have gone better… it will be a couple of weeks before they make a decision…

The lady from the temp agency for Coca Cola has yet to call back…

And hubby took son3 to the doctors at 4:45… so he is now splinter free… and on antibiotics… and got a tetanus shot, which I was hoping as he needs it for seventh grade registration, so now I can fill out his paperwork and turn it in… and got four stiches… and is much happier and walking better… the splinter was much longer then we first thought… the doctor was amazed and took it to show to all the other doctors… and all the nurses had to come in and see son3 and tell him how brave he was… and the doctor said he would now be son3’s doctor since he was the only pediatrician who was authorized to do surgical procedures in the office… the boys other doctor retired or went to another hospital, I forget, and they had been assigned another doctor but had not seen her yet…

Here is the splinter… over five inches long…

I am watching the awards instead of writing…

I have a headache again… I think it is from my neck… too much lifting at work… too much computer at home and at work… plus today was my sixth day of working… so glad to be off tomorrow…

We are all home tomorrow except son2… he has to go to college… Son3 will stay home from school again tomorrow til he gets settled on his antibiotics and see how he is once the Novocain wears off the incision site… he’s taking ibuprofen with his antibiotics… plus hubby may have to go back as he forgot to get a note for the school from the nurse and wonder if he needs a note to excuse him from PE… he gets his stitches out in a week…

The Oscars are now in overtime… as soon as it’s done, it’s time for bed…

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

every little part of you is magical.

Yes, even the parts that hurt, even the ones that are feeling disease right now. It's alright to love what is in pain. More than alright, that's exactly where your love is needed the most. So why not touch that part that hurts and smile at it, at yourself through it, and whisper: "I love you."
