Today hubby and I also worked in the yard…
These are the before pictures…
Hubby was pulling all the Wisteria vines out of the trellis…
Many parts of the fence need mending now as the vines were holding it up…
The beginning of the pile…
Holly scratching on the purple tree for the last time as we removed it…
Son2 needs to tend to his mandarin orange tree, blackberry bush and pineapple… he did not cover them when it got very cold the last couple of weeks… the orange tree seems fine but I don’t know about the other two…
This vine is all cut back now…
The lemons need to be picked soon and put on the curb for free taking…
Our back yard neighbor asked if he could help himself today to picking some…
And below are the after pictures…
We trimmed roses, cut down a tree, trimmed back vines, raked leaves…
Hubby says he’ll finish pulling out the truck from the purple tree tomorrow… the roots were not letting go after thirteen years…
Roses trimmed… leaves raked… I told hubby while others have three feet of snow, we have three feet of leaves…
We made a big huge messy pile that all needs to be cut down so it can go in the tote over the next couple of weeks to be picked up on garbage day…
Roses trimmed… We still have more roses and vines to trim… probably Tuesday… I’m still pulling rose thorns out of my hands and fingers…
And a few roses that were blooming in a vase…
Happy Journaling…

here in Ohio, our backyard is under 2 feet of ice and snow...nothing is growing as of now....in about 6 weeks this crap will be gone and the green will be back. We will have a high of 10 degrees today. Phooey. I like your backyard...you have a lot of room nad have done a lot with your. XOXO space
We didn't have as much snow as Lisa did but there are definitely no roses blooming. I can relate to the thorns though. Even with gardening gloves on they still manage to prick me. The yard does look like you are ready for Spring now. I can hardly wait!
You guys got a lot done in the yard yesterday!! I like the roses; amazing in the first part of February roses still bloom :_
