John 12:20-36

Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the Feast. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request, Sir, they said, we would like to see Jesus. Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

Jesus replied, the hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep if for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Now, my hear is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name?

Then a voice came from heaven, I have glorified it, and will glorify it again. The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

Jesus said, This voice was for your benefit, not mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world, now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself. He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

The crowd spoke up, We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever, so how can you say, The Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?

Then Jesus told them, You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light. When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.

Today was my day off… I  slept in til 8am…

I got up first and got my letter written to send out in my last Easter card…

Hubby got up and made me hot chocolate…

We then got the boys up and everyone showered and dressed…

Everyone got their own breakfasts…

And we still didn’t get to the zoo until noon…

img45

The zoo was packed with all the kids on Spring Break… Felt like a Saturday instead of a Tuesday…

We saw the new African Spotted Necked Otters… They are a bit docile at the moment, getting used to their new home… Their exhibit just opened on this past Saturday… So hopefully once they get more settled they will be more entertaining…

Afterwards the boys wanted to go to Toys R Us and Game Stop to look at video games for their DS’s… They got one game each and used their own money…

she

Once home they played their games; hubby watched TV; and I vacuumed, did four loads of laundry, watered the plants and started dinner… Hubby helped me finish fixing dinner…

We had teriyaki chicken, shrimp stir fried vegetables and white rice…

sjee

Now we’ve been watching Mike & Molly and Castle…

swe

Tomorrow is back to work…

I need a day off…

I need a week off…

I don’t see any time off in the future…

I’m jealous of the boys having Spring Break…

I’m jealous of hubby still not working…

It would help if they cleaned the house while I was at work…

That would be a nice surprise when I got home from work…

I have pictures to share from the zoo and flowers in the backyard…

I’m off to get ready for bed, I’ve been staying up too late too much lately…

I might be less grumpy with more sleep…

But first I’ll watch Emergency before going to sleep…

John 12:1-11

Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor, Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages. He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief, as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

Leave her alone, Jesus replied. It was intended, that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.

Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him.

It was a quiet day at work… I got all my counts and scans done…

Went to lunch and read my book…

Called hubby about his interview and found out he had stopped by the store but he couldn’t find me as I was in the stockroom and didn’t hear my page…

ee

Hubby said the interview went well and he learned even more on how to improve his interviewing… he however did not get the job as he doesn’t have any commission sales experience…

Tomorrow we all have a day off!!

We are going to the zoo to see the new African Spotted Necked Otters that opened this past Saturday…

Now we are watching cartoons with the boys…

The boys are playing with their DS handhelds…

I heated up taquitos, mini chimichangas, corn, beans and chips…

I have so much I could be doing… I still need to write a letter for the last Easter card… and the house is a mess since none of the boys in the house can clean it while I am at work…

I need to go put the leftovers away and straighten up the kitchen… then hubby and I can watch our shows in our room since the boys don’t like any of the same shows as us anymore… which is why I never wanted to get cable… too  many choices…

God has already given us peace, but we need to choose to walk in it. Will you walk in peace today?

Receive mercy, give mercy. Receive grace, give grace. God wants what He gives us to flow through us to others.

You can't take authority over your life if you don't have authority over a sink full of dirty dishes or a messy garage.

Today, Linda, we believe God wants you to know that ...

sleep and rest are all part of the divine order.

Don't make your waking life and responsibilities so important that you neglect the very real benefits of sleep, rest, and dreaming. The night is your time of restoration. It is essential. God made both day and night for a reason.

Last night was a nice uneventful night at work… I even got a lot done with lots of helpers even… Finished scanning for all the clearance, had the manager phone, filled my bulk stacks and got all the closing duties done early…

Once home I watched Supernatural with hubby and son2 and fell asleep and missed the ending…

bs

This morning I woke at seven, closed my eyes for a second and it was nine…  I had to be at work at eleven…

Son2 had ordered the limited edition Pikachu 3DS game system last week and was hoping it would arrive in time for him to play it and hook up to son3’s DS system so they could play together while on Spring Break… however last night he got an email saying it would be a month as they were on back order… being a limited edition I doubt there would be any on back order… that was through Target… so this morning he had hubby drop him off at Toys R Us to see if they would have any as today was the first day of release… as I was driving to work I past him walking home with his bag of goodies… he not only got the 3DS but three games for the same price of the 3DS he was having shipped with shipping costs… so he and son3 have been happily playing their DS systems all day…

Hubby spent the day getting ready for his interview tomorrow at ADT security systems…

bunnyrun

Today I spent the day setting up the signing for the ad, dealing with customer issues, holding the manager phone, more signing and closing duties… We could tell the full moon is getting close as all the customers wanted to make bargains all day… and not take no for an answer…

Now hubby and I are watching Grimm and Emergency…

The boys are sleeping in the family room again as they are on Spring Break all week…

Almost time to get up for work and do it all over again…

Isaiah 43:16-21

This is what the Lord says – he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick; Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Such an interesting night at work last night… I spent the first couple of hours printing out all my paper work and reports… then I had a quick meeting with my electronics manager… spent the next couple of hours scanning for more clearance in hardware… then it was time for lunch… as soon as I got back from lunch was when all the interesting stuff happened… I found my closing partner to take the manager phone… at the time she was dealing with an unhappy customer and had a phone on each ear… I got our head manager to deal with the customer and sent my co lead off to lunch… then we had a code Adam and then twenty minutes later we had another code Adam… different children, all found… then the customer who was upset on the phone husband showed up in the store… explained to him the manager was still working on his issue… an hour later his issue was happily resolved, my co lead was back from lunch and we started closing duties… five minutes after closing I get a call that a child has fallen and cut his ear… get security and head to the area to find out the mother had called an ambulance, which I swear pulled up within ninety seconds of her hanging up the phone… I checked for more customers in the store, found none and had the associates start closing procedures letting them know that we would be delayed however until the ambulance left… only to discover that we still had a customer in lawn and garden who needed to pick up his lawn mower, luckily the mpu associates had not left yet… however he was parked on the far side of the store and all the doors are locked… so the ambulance has left, the customer is picking up his lawn mower and I find that the father of the injured child wants to finish his shopping… the mother had left in the ambulance with the injured child… so I continue the associates on their closing procedures… by 9:55 the man is still shopping and it is time to let the associates go home… so I make the announcement to release the associates hoping the customer will make a decision… he is finally paying and he and all the associates go home…  leaving us managers staying a half hour late to close the store…
