October Ninth

Thursday I was up and off to work for the certification… Took me all day just to finish putting toddler shoes in numerical order… We had others from other departments helping with the sales floor… The VIP was at another store in the morning so still hadn’t gotten to our store by time I left at 2pm… Can you believe we passed with a 94%… Seems everyone was passing… We could miss up to three things… so he was giving everyone a chance to fix some things so you could pass…. So he’s not coming back on the 25th but he is coming back with his boss the second week of November…

Came home, walked to pick up son3 with hubby… did homework with son3… and had dinner… we watched two episodes of Hercules with Kevin Sorbo… Bones and Fringe came on but I fell promptly asleep at 8pm… So I still need to watch Bones… I’m not into Fringe at the moment with all the alter world they are doing…

Thursday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips… dinner~blackeyed peas on rice… orange soda… two brownies…

Friday I was off to work to set the ad… had help though… changed out some sale tables and hanging signing… wasn’t able to print missing signs as the sign machine was out of ink…

Went to lunch and my friend who had left to work at another store came to surprise me… so she vented about her certification and we got all caught up on our families…

I did some online training and discovered that the system is giving me 40 hours a week vacation again… So the one for this week can be deleted but my pay check was all messed up again for this pay period… giving me overtime and double overtime…  I did discover though that it only paid me for 18 hours of vacation as I didn’t have 40 hours left to take… So I will hand it over to HR to sort out on Monday… and keep an eye on my time statement every week til we get passed this… I had requested vacation for this week but just one day and deleted it… So now I’m thinking of just canceling my vacation for Halloween and just taking two personal holidays to have Halloween off… and then in January I will see what vacation I have left and take some then… Our year for taking vacation ends in January…

Came home and son2 was home again with an upset tummy… Hubby was going to take him to school when he was feeling better but he had missed half the day by then and just had part of Biology and Art left… But son2 got lots of homework done Thursday night and Friday…

I was home early on Friday so hubby and I went to Walmart to check on pants for the boys and a few odds and ends… We got home in time to walk and pick up son3 and I put enchiladas in the oven for dinner…

We watched The Big Bang Theory, William Shatner’s new show, CSI which ran out of tape when taping so we finished it online… then the boys went to bed and hubby and I watched Criminal Minds…

Son1 and girlfriend were off at The Big Fresno Fair…

Friday I ate: vitamins, green tea tablet, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips… chicken enchilada, corn, beans, tortilla chips, lemon lime soda… ice cream cone…

Today we all slept in til 9am… so nice…

Hubby made breakfast of scrambled eggs…

Son1 was off to friend S’s house to work on jeeps and trucks…

When son1 came back all the boys were playing video games…

Hubby and I were going to go to Hillcrest Farm Pumpkin Patch but I couldn’t figure out if they were open yet as their website said the last three weeks of October which starts next weekend but then another page said the 9th to the 31st… So we will wait til next Saturday and then maybe the boys will want to go too…

So hubby has been decorating the front yard for Halloween…

I decorated a bit more inside…

Son1 was off with Friend S again…

Then off with girlfriend…

I trimmed the roses a bit…

Played a bit on Facebook…

The house is a mess…

I did son1 and son2’s laundry…

Now I am doing mine…

Hubby is watching Legend of Sleepy Hollow, animated version with Bing Crosby…

Boys are fighting over the internet…

I think it is time to start pulling out the leftovers for dinner…

What should we watch… we have Hercules, McHale's Navy, and F Troop…

Our team only has 36 hours this week… I automatically get 30 since I am full time… not good for the other two… tomorrow I only work til 10am, just four hours… so time to clean the house then…

Gonna eat dinner before I post this so I can finish “today I ate”…

Dinner is done… We watched Hercules, a couple of F Troops and now son3 wants to watch Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman… I got caught up a bit at Fronterville, Farmville and Yoville on Facebook…

Son1 and girlfriend are back from the movies, they saw Life as We Know It… now they are watching 13 Ghosts… girlfriend wanted to see a scary movie even though she was scared of our decorations in the front yard…

I’m ready for sleeping…

Today I ate: vitamins, water… breakfast~scrambled eggs, sausage dog, English muffin, hot chocolate… cola… tortilla chips and beans… lemon lime soda… dinner~enchilada, corn, rice, black eyed peas, water… chocolate frosting…

October Sixth

We’re watching Hercules with Kevin Sorbo… Son3 is glued to the TV…

Yesterday I did terrible on eating… I felt anxious all day… Either due to son1 dropping the not having any money and waiting to see how is week would go, which he has seemed fine or because of the certification at work that we are trying but not going to be ready for on Thursday…

I am also waiting on Chuck who is a week late… Although I would be glad if he never came… he so plays with my emotions… so I have been down and blah… and need to snap out of it… and get my mind wrapped back around the better eating that I was doing…

Yesterday at work I finished putting the girl’s shoes in order but that was it… Too many distractions again… Fortunately whatever we don’t pass on Thursday they will recheck on the 25th…

Came home and walked with hubby to pick up son3 from school… Did homework with son3… seemed like forever… had dinner… watched Castle… watched Glee… watched True Blood…

I finished Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series…

Yesterday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… spaghetti… tortilla chips… dinner~turkey burger, chili dog, curly fries, baked beans… brownie with ice cream…

Today I got to sleep in til 6am… then was up getting son2 out the door… It was foggy this morning and he was hoping it was foggy day bus schedule but it was not…

Checked email til hubby and son3 got up at 7am… showered and walked son3 to school…

Came home… hubby worked on Halloween card… fixed a broken sprinkler that was shooting ten feet over the house… I put some black eyed peas in the crock pot… worked on my TMS entry for tomorrow by cleaning out Halloween decorations… watered the houseplants… filled the birdfeeders…  took pictures of the roses… vacuumed… three loads of laundry…

Walked to pick up son3… found him sitting in front of the office crying… seems he got caught up with some boys calling another boy names… he just thought it was funny and that everyone was playing as the boy they were calling names was his friend… his friend didn’t think it was funny though and put son3 in a head lock til he said he was sorry… and then the friend went and told the teacher… so son3, the friend and another friend all ended up in the office… it was the end of the day however so they have to go back to the office tomorrow and finish discussing the situation… son3 was upset as he probably won’t be going on the ice skating field trip now as this will result in a detention… he was also upset that he thought we would be mad and ground him from video games… I told him we would wait and see what the principal says… but that it was good that he was worried that we would be mad as that meant we were doing our job… and that when the teacher tells them they are big kids now this is what she is referring to, choosing what is right from wrong…

Then we had to do homework… son1 came home and then went out with friend S for a bit… son2 was playing video games in his room… we had dinner and watched Hercules…

Since the weather is cooler we are trying to figure out if son2 and son3 have long pants to wear… son2 has outgrown all of his jeans but one pair… so hubby gave him a pair to borrow and he was trying on son1’s for sizing so hubby can maybe pick him up a couple of $10 pairs from Walmart… and we were all having good fun laughs helping son2 try on hubby’s and son1’s jeans… meanwhile son3 just keeps getting taller for his pants…

Now the boys are ready for bed… son3 finally took an AR test on his Trick or Treat Berenstain Bear’s book and got a 90%… he barely read a book the other day and only got a 40%… and the week before he didn’t take a test and got a 0%… when we have been ready to take the Trick or Treat test for a couple of weeks now… So now we are reading The Berenstain Bears Go to Camp…

Hubby has started another Hercules… Hopefully I can watch the last True Blood tonight of season two before I fall asleep… I’ll tape Criminal Minds now that we switched the VCR’s around it’s so nice that they work for taping and playing…

Time for Jammies… and fold the three loads of laundry…

Today I ate: water, vitamins, green tea tablet… breakfast~oatmeal… cola… tortilla chips… tuna sandwich… dinner~two bowls of black eyed peas with pork and rice, water… brownie…

October Fourth

It’s Cold!! I’m wearing socks even… It’s only 70 degrees… We even had lots of lightening last night… It may rain tonight… It’s very windy right now…

I fell asleep at 8pm last night while everyone was watching Simpsons…. Family Guy…. in my bed while I was sleeping…

Son1 and girlfriend were back from Disneyland… they were fine… they had a good time…

And then I was up early for work this morning… Son1 was up and off to work too…

I had a teeny ad to set… then I requested all the missing signs from the shoe displays… and put them up… went to lunch a half hour early… so I could spend the rest of the day organizing the girls shoes… didn’t get very far though as we had extra people working today to get ready for Thursday so too many distractions and a bit in each others way…

Got home and went with hubby to walk son3 home from school… I need to figure eating after work since we don’t eat dinner til after 6 when son3 gets done with homework… and I eat lunch at 10am… cause I was extra munchy hungry this afternoon… so from 4-6, homework with son3… right now son1 and son2 are helping him correct the ones they found wrong…

Today hubby searched for jobs online… worked on this year’s Halloween card… and traded the VCR from son3’s room with the one in the family room since it won’t play recorded tapes anymore… so now hopefully I can tape my shows again and then we can actually watch them… We finally were able to watch Castle from last Monday tonight…

Son2 is still helping son3 correct his Math… it’s funny but not…

Son2 was home sick today with an upset stomach… but he’s fine now…

Son1 and son2 walked today over four miles round trip to Blockbuster to get a video game

Now it’s time for everyone to get ready for showers… and my shows are coming on, How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, Castle, Hawaii Five-0… and I am almost finished reading Percy Jackson and want to finish so I can read a grown up book next…

Holly’s in now… She says brrrrrrrr too but is loving it with her long fur coat…

Last night I ended up eating tomato soup with ritz crackers and a bit of spaghetti… then I had jelly beans while reading Percy Jackson… and then hubby fixed me a bit of ice cream with caramel sauce….

Today I ate: vitamins, green tea tablet, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… pasta veggies… jelly beans… dinner~chili dog, curly fries, cream of chicken soup with crackers, water…

October Third

It actually rained last night… It woke me in the middle of the night… It was pouring and then done, as if someone switched the rain off… I didn’t sleep well… It was hot… I had lots of dreams…

And then I was up early for work this morning… Set the ad, scanned all shoes for missing displays, replaced the men’s shoe displays that were missing, printed missing signs for the ad… went to lunch… finished organizing the boy’s shoes in stockroom, located some athletic shoes in stockroom, started organizing girl’s shoes in stockroom by brand, in numerical order and sized… I may be done with girl’s shoes by Thursday but I am not going to be done with the whole stockroom for our certification… I still have toddler, all of women’s and all of athletic and athletic takes up about a third of the stockroom by themselves… Meanwhile the new receiving boxes of shoes continue to pile in the warehouse… I am getting so behind… We’ll just have to see what happens…

Since being home I am just on the laptop… not too much email… facebook keeps freezing… no word from son1… they are probably on their way back from Disneyland…

Hubby did some grocery shopping today… and took son3 out front for a bit to teach him to ride his bike without training wheels… don’t think it went as well as hubby was hoping… and son3 read one of his library books… otherwise he and son2 have been playing video games all day…

I’m hungry… is it time for dinner yet… I need to get back on track with my eating, or should I say not eating… I have been eating too much lately… last night I was munching on jelly beans while reading Percy Jackson… and hubby bought brownie mix at the store… and someone at work brought candy and I had three pieces, Hershey kisses…

Today I ate: water, vitamins… three pieces of candy… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips, lemonade… dinner~my goal is just spaghetti and water… and a brownie if hubby makes them…

The Simpsons and all that comes on tonight… I should get up and do something before dinner… like put away laundry and work on my drawer challenges for The Motivation Station… and get the boys ready for school tomorrow…

October Secondth

This was the fastest week… yesterday was a whole week since son3’s carnival and sleepover that he didn’t attend… yesterday wasn’t as fast as Thursday… It was twenty minutes instead of ten….

I got to work… made a list for the 7am associate to set the ad… and I proceeded to arrange and locate the boy’s shoes by brand, numerical order and sized… went to lunch… I am finally on the last book of The Percy Jackson series… organized more boy’s shoes and went home…

Walked with hubby to pick up son3… hubby brought son2 to the homecoming football games… son1 and girlfriend left for Disneyland… son3 played on video games… hubby and I watched Smallville and Supernatural… hubby picked up son2… and we all were asleep…

Yesterday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips, cream soda… dinner~lasagna, spaghetti, garlic bread, sausage dog, pasta veggies, water… mini chocolate chips… ice cream with caramel sauce…

Today I slept all the way til eight something when I awoke with a start as son3 was standing next to my bed staring at me… He said it was time to get up… I told him to go play video games… Hubby and I slept for a bit more… son3 was back… told him to go wake son2… hubby and I were up, showered, dressed and hubby made pancakes for breakfast…

I tried to check my email… been having trouble with the laptop holding a connection… I have moved it to a different spot and it seems to be doing better… After breakfast, I made me a list and hubby a honey do list for October… and a list so hubby can pick up a few things at the grocery store tomorrow… I washed everyone’s laundry today, even son2 and son1… hubby mowed the lawns and son2 washed the cars… son3 had a special treat of playing some games online… he never did remember to ask about his friend coming over to play…

Then son1 texted me this afternoon and spoiled the mood of the day and hubby and I took it out on each other, mostly me on him…. Son1 never writes checks, however every once in a great while his bills require a check to be written… well he forgets to remember it since he relies on the online banking and everything else is by ATM that he can track daily… anyway he texted me that he was negative dollars and doesn’t get paid til next Friday… Remember he’s at Disneyland… I’m wondering why he’s telling me this except for I’m the mom… nothing I can do with hubby not working… wondering why he’s even in Disneyland… I told him it was going to be a long week til he got paid… hope he has gas in the Jeep for work…

I’m still wondering what all the lessons are for hubby losing his job… It is so frustrating that we have spent the last year helping son1 and spending about $4000 on him and now he is about to have two jobs and hubby doesn’t have one and yet he is in Disneyland and out of money and looking to us…. Argh…

So we adjusted attitudes… it got too hot again today… 95 outside and 87 in the house… so I have the air on for just a bit at 84…

 

Now dinner is done and we are watching the second Lord of the Rings…. Think I will get some jammies and read my Percy Jackson book while they watch the movie… Still have my laundry to fold and put away… and the boys need showers… and back to work tomorrow for more organizing of boy’s shoes and then on to the girls…

September 30th…

Oops, yesterday I put the date as September thirtieth… Today is September 30th…

Last day of September… This month went so fast… Can’t believe hubby has been unemployed for over a month already… Just doesn’t seem like it…

And today was the fastest day ever… I feel like I was at work for ten minutes not eight hours… I got to work at 6am, picked up all the ad signs for the week, finished up the women’s fashion boots, located all the girl’s fashion boots by brand, numerical order and sized, went to lunch at 10:15, finished up the girl’s boots and started the boy’s shoes and it was already time to go home… I have to have the whole stockroom in numerical order by next Thursday… I still have the girl’s, toddler, all the women’s and a ton of athletic shoes to go… I’m not gonna make it… If we don’t pass on the 7th, we have a second chance on the 25th… I might be done by then… Meanwhile the boxes are piling up from receiving…

Came home, walked with hubby to pick up son3, took showers, homework with son3, hubby made breakfast for dinner, we watched an episode of Lost in Space, straightened up and now we are watching Bones and then Fringe… Son2 is watching The Big Bang Theory and son3 is watching Marmaduke again…

It is still 93 degrees here at 8:30pm… I broke down and turned on the air yesterday afternoon and this afternoon, but have it set at 84 degrees… We’ve learned this past month we can handle 84, but 86 and up get to be a bit miserable and muggy… Our temps are going down and will be to the 80’s this Sunday and then 70’s hopefully by Monday… and then maybe they will stay there… Some of the trees leaves are changing through town so it is Fall time…

I am eating too much this week… but I am chalking it up to my eating week… but I can’t keep giving into that excuse each month… as I’m still sitting at 30-33 pounds lost depending on the day… My goal is 35 pounds, so still need to get there….

September Thirtieth…

We’re watching Marmaduke with Owen Wilson… Pretty Funny!

Yesterday I was up and off to work early… I spent the whole day arranging the women’s fashion boots into the stockroom by brand, numerical order and sized… and I’m still not done…

Came home and walked to pick up son3 from school… We did homework, made dinner and son1 was home for dinner and rented Robin Hood with Russell Crowe… We were so confused as it had the characters from Robin Hood but was supposed to be a prequel so the story line was all different… It was good though, once you figured out who everyone was…

It was so hot…. We are back to the 100’s at the end of September…

Yesterday I ate: vitamins, green tea tablet, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla chips, lemonade…. dinner~teriyaki chicken, rice, veggies, water… chocolate covered raisins…

Today I got to sleep in… Let son1 and son2 get up and off on their own since they do it every day while I’m already at work… Then hubby and I were up and walked son3 to school… Took a longer scenic route back home this morning through the neighborhoods…

Came home, had breakfast, checked emails and job alerts… Took some pictures of roses in the backyard this morning… Hubby and I had quiet time to talk without interruptions from the boys… And then we took a nap, not meaning to… I can never sleep during the day… Guess we needed it… Woke up at noon to watch Emergency and have some lunch… Then it was time to walk and pick up son3 as it’s early day… Got his homework done, although he forgot his spelling homework… He can only get three detentions and then he can’t go on the ice skating field trip… Then I made dinner early and we watched Marmaduke…

Son1 was home from work and then off to his Dad’s to go to the funeral tomorrow for his Great Uncle… He’ll be home tomorrow night… Then he is off to work on Friday and then after work, he and girlfriend are off to Disneyland for the weekend… Disneyland has started their Halloween theme…

Son2 is trying to make plans to go to the Homecoming Game on Friday but doesn't have all the details yet…

And son3 was invited to a sleepover birthday party on Friday… So hubby and I were thinking we may have a evening alone just for us… But son3 doesn’t want to go to the sleepover… He can’t tell me why though… I’m thinking maybe too many friends going, seven in all… or maybe he doesn’t like one of the boys… or he just doesn’t know… It’s not the same when it was just him and his friend playing video games when they were planning a sleepover…

Now we are having ice cream and watching an episode of Lost in Space… Then the boys are getting ready for bed and Criminal Minds comes on tonight… I still haven’t seen Glee from last night as it didn’t record right… So now I have to watch Glee and Hawaii 50 online… And I still have to see Castle that did tape…

Everyone can let out the breath you have been holding for the last month as the check is in the mail according to the recording I called at unemployment yesterday!!

Today I ate: vitamins, water… breakfast~yogurt on Honey Bunches of Oats cereal… tortilla chips… lunch~chicken and rice, cola… tortilla chips… dinner~tomato soup, 2 tuna fish sandwiches, orange soda… ice cream with caramel sauce…

September Twenty Seventh…

It is so hot…. and we are still being good and not using the air conditioner, since we are still waiting for unemployment to kick in… In the 100’s, isn’t it Fall… they are saying we are ten degrees above normal…

Yesterday I was off to work… Set the ad, stock the men’s work boots, scan for missing displays, go to lunch, finish resetting the men’s shoes and work boots in the stockroom, move the women’s shoes in the stockroom to make room for setting the women’s fashion boots by brand, numerical order and sized…

Came home and did my 300 crunches, spent too much time on the computer, fixed leftovers for dinner, watched Lost in Space and True Blood and fell asleep during Simpsons and then again for Family Guy… I’m so tired getting up at 4:30am every day…

Son1 was still off with his Dad and Uncle to his Grandfather’s, whose brother had died in the motorcycle accident, and visited with family members… The funeral is Thursday… He wasn’t able to come home last night as the freeway was all blocked with emergency vehicles not that they could find anything in the news today as to what the trouble was… He came home this morning, changed quick and made it to work on time…

Yesterday I ate: water, vitamins, green tea tablet… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… snack of pork roast… dinner~turkey burger on a bun, chili hot dog on a bun, curly fries, water… ice cream with caramel sauce…

Today I was off to work again to set another little ad, scan for missing displays, changed my vacation requests around on the computer, locate women’s shoes in the stockroom, lunch, start setting the women’s boots by brand, numerical order and sized in the stockroom…

Came home, 300 crunches, talk with hubby, walk to pick up son3, homework with son3 while I was on the computer, fix dinner, watch Lost in Space, girlfriend and son1 are watching Employee of the Month, hubby is playing checkers with son3 and son2 is watching Family Guy…

As soon as Family Guy is over everyone needs to head for their rooms and settle for the night… School tomorrow and I have to get up early for work, son1 too… And hubby has chores and more job searching…

And I’m off to watch my shows: How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men and Castle… Although I’ll be taping Castle as I’ll probably fall asleep….

Tailgating Time

Seems it’s Football Season… Although we don’t have any avid watchers here, though the boys will say The 49er’s are their favorite team… I have my favorites but it depends who’s playing on which side I’m on… The 49er’s and Chiefs were playing this morning on the TV in the break room while I was at lunch at work… Last I saw the score was Chiefs, 7-0….

Last night for dinner we had turkey burgers, chili hot dogs and curly fries that we’ll be having for dinner again tonight as there were leftovers…. For desert we had root beer floats…

September Twenty Fifth

Yesterday was Friday and payday and off to work day… I had to set the ad, update the sale tables, stock the tables, went to lunch and continued resetting the men’s shoe stockroom by brand, numerical order and sized… Have to have the whole stockroom done by October 7th…

Came home and walked with hubby to pick up son3 from school… Son3 was supposed to go on a sleepover with two of his friends who are brothers last night… they had been asking all week so hubby and I told them yes and got their phone number… The boys and son3 had everything all planned out and what time… So last night I had son3 call and verify with one of the brothers that he indeed could come over by having them ask a parent while son3 was on the phone… He came back that the parent said it was tonight instead since the carnival was last night, which we wondered about… Anyway we never heard from the brothers today and son3 was busy playing his video games although he went to bed and woke up upset that he didn’t get to go to a sleepover… It was almost noon before I finally heard him laughing and enjoying his video games… I didn’t push the sleepover for tonight cause I was going to let him go but still not quite ready for him to be off at a sleepover… I told him to talk to his friends on Monday and find out what happened… Another one of his friend’s was also supposed to go too… I told him in a couple of weeks or so maybe he can invite them over for a sleepover…

Son1 was off to dinner with his friend S and then girlfriend came over and they were out and about and then back and then out and about again, but I was going to sleep by then…

Son2 had the best night… as he went over to some friend’s house, then met up with friend A and went to the carnival with him and then called to ask if he could sleep over at friend A’s…

Son2 got his progress report… PE~A, Anatomy Physiology~B, English 3~B, US History~A, Geometry~A, Zoology~B-, Cooking and Sewing~A, Draw&Paint~A…

Today we didn’t get up til around 9am… Son1 was here… Hubby made eggs for breakfast… I discovered over at The Motivation Station, MarthaM had written up a GIT challenge for the day… GIT is Get It Together, where we motivate each other in comments all the chores we are getting done for the day… I had already made a list so I was ready for the day… Hubby was working outside, son1 and son3 were on the computers and son2 got home about noon…

I cleaned both bathrooms, three loads of laundry, washed the kitchen floor, washed the pots and pans while the dishwasher washed the dishes, updated the checkbook, paid three bills and the house payment, vacuumed, washed the kitchen garbage can, watered the houseplants, played on facebook and made hotdogs and turkey burgers for dinner…

And hubby went to the grocery store to get some milk and a couple of things for the week…

I also watched a True Blood earlier while I hung up the laundry and now we have watched F Troop and CSI NY…

Son1 had to pick up his Dad at the airport today and he’s still out and about… Son1’s Great Uncle died in a motorcycle accident the other morning, the reason for his Dad being in town… Of course his Dad just had two hernia surgeries a week ago and not sure if he should be traveling just yet… The funeral is either Monday or Tuesday and son1 has already arranged with work to go…

Son2 and son3 are reading comic books and I have just discovered an encore showing of Hawaii 50 from Monday that didn’t tape well while I was watching Castle… We are also all waiting for ice cream… It’s still 82 outside and 86 in here…

Son2 and son3 are going to camp out in the family room tonight so son3 has the feeling of having a sleep over…

I’m off to fix ice cream for everyone… Do you want ice cream in a bowl with sauce, in a cone, root beer float or a milk shake…

Today I ate: vitamins, water… breakfast~scrambled eggs, hash brown, toast, hot chocolate… cola, popcorn… dinner~turkey burger on bun, chili hotdog on bun, curly fries… ice cream with caramel sauce or actually I think I will have a root beer float instead…

September Twenty Third

Keep thinking cool thoughts… We had our two days of fall and now we are heading back to 99 degrees this weekend…

This morning I was up bright and early for work… no son1 this morning… Once at work I replaced the missing men’s display shoes, helped with the weekly count, went to lunch, and started locating the stockroom in numerical order by size starting with the men’s shoes…

Came home and walked to pick up son3 and have just now finished doing homework at 6:30… he brought home a classwork report project to finish too so that took the longest…

Hubby said he found another place today to apply at… seems he is averaging about one place a day, as some days he finds a few and some days not…

Son1 was home from work on time today but didn’t go for a walk with son2, still time for them to go yet… he starts the part time job around the 4th of next month…

Son2 has made a bet with his friends that they will not eat meat for the next month… we are discussing the terms according to me… I agree he can forgo the meat… however just because I made the potatoes with chicken broth doesn’t mean he can’t eat them… so he’s being difficult and is now eating the meat too… saying it’s all or nothing… and I’m saying there is a difference between saying you are not going to eat meat for a month and going all out vegetarian… so fine…

Ok dinner is ready and I need to fix my plate… wanted to get this in early as Bones, Fringe and The Big Bang Theory come on tonight…

September Twenty Second…

I was off again today… I made sure son2 got up and out the door but then I went back to bed til it was time to get son3 up… Son3 is having his school carnival this week so it has been theme week… I didn’t get the newsletter til Tuesday so we missed Monday Jersey Day… Tuesday was Crazy Sock Day and today was Crazy Hair/Hat Day… Tomorrow is Mismatch Day, hubby will dress him so not a problem, just kidding… and Friday is Spirit Day and the carnival… son3 put gel in his hair for crazy hair day… at first he wanted it sticking up but then he wanted it all combed down flat… I forgot to get a picture…

Due to hubby not having a job at the moment it is a perfect excuse to not have to go to the carnival this year… We feel bad for son3 but then son3 has been going to the carnival since he was born, son2 went to the same school… and the carnival is the same every year… they were going to cancel this year due to very low involvement but for some reason they did not… Meanwhile two of son3’s friends who are brothers want him to spend the night this weekend so if that works out then he will be distracted from the carnival…

Hubby spent a bit of time on the computer job hunting and a bit of time working in the yard and a bit of time working on the computer on his artwork…

I checked email, put a roast in the crock pot, put up Fall decorations, started the dishwasher, cleaned the glass on the entertainment center, shredded papers, vacuumed, and sorted through all the paper piles on my work table… Watched Emergency and hubby watched an episode of Babylon 5… It was early day so walked to pick up son3, put potatoes and lima beans on to cook for dinner, did homework with son3, typed up my entry for The Motivation Station for tomorrow, ate dinner, hubby and the boys were watching F Troop and I washed all the pots and pans…

Now son2 is on the computer, son3 has showered and I am going to give him a practice test for his spelling words, hubby is on the computer working on his artwork… son1 came straight home from work so he and son2 could go for their walk… then he was off to his part time job to turn in more paper work and now he is at girlfriend’s…

Now I am testing son3 and waiting for Criminal Minds to come on…

I forgot to mention so I came back and added this paragraph to mention about unemployment... Nothing came today so I went to the website, although I checked before and didn't find anything that there had to be a way to check your account/status... the first time I could only find sign in stuff for job hunting... this time however I found a phone number you could call to create a pin number to call in and check the status on your checks... so called and got that set up and it said that it takes ten days from talking to the representative to receive your check... so hubby's phone interview was on the 13th so ten working days is this Friday or next Monday... so at least now we have a guide and something to call to track status...

September Twenty First

Glee starts in just a few moments!!

This morning got off to a shaky start… Son2 left without any lunch money… said he would be fine… he did have pizza that his friends shared with him… Son1 was still having trouble with the jeep starting and then forgot his paper work to do his drug test for part time job, so had to come back to get it and then remembered he needed to get gas, so think he was late for work today…

Hubby and I walked son3 to school… then came home and I filled out three job alerts applications we found online while hubby did the dishes… and I checked my email… then I watched Emergency while I cleaned out drawers for The Motivation Station Challenge… and then I watched True Blood while still cleaning out drawers… Washed four loads of laundry that still need folding while I’m watching Glee… Hubby made lunch and I was back on the laptop reading blogs… and then it was time to walk and pick up son3 and do homework… no unemployment again today but I have a feeling it will come this week… We had leftover chicken noodle soup and watched Castle since son2 and I fell asleep half way through it last night…

Son1 found a pedometer today so he and son2 went on their walk… they are working up to running so they can be firemen…

I had plans of getting lots more done today, like putting up fall decorations, cleaning the kitchen and washing the floor, sweeping the garage, dusting, filling the birdfeeders and then some… maybe tomorrow…

Hubby finished fixing a new gate for the side fence to the back yard today…

Today I ate too much: vitamins, green tea tablet ( I had stopped taking them since I was taking cold medicine, but I am all better now), water… breakfast~apple and cinnamon oatmeal… tortilla chips… cola… lunch~PBJ, water… tortilla chips… lemonade… dinner~chicken noodle soup, tortilla chips, water…

September Twentieth…

Last night I didn’t quite get to watch True Blood til way later in the night as son3 was watching TV with me so we were watching Funniest Videos and Family Guy…

Meanwhile son1 and girlfriend were online and son1 filled out an application for college to become a fireman… I’m thinking the girlfriend is influencing son1 to better himself… Which is good but what are her reasons… And wasn’t son2 planning on becoming a paramedic… son1 says he has wanted to be a fireman for years now… I’m not quite remembering  that… And there was talk of quitting his full time job to go to school… I hope not… I can’t keep up with his plans… He needs to pick one and stick with it… but he wants everything to just take a minute and not years….

This morning he was back on getting the part time job…

I was off to work early again in the dark… Had a little ad to set, scan athletic displays, request missing signs, print signs and put them up, go to lunch, stock men’s shoes and open boxes…

I also talked to HR about my big paycheck… It’s mine to keep… I had the choice to pay back my vacation… but I decided to instead not take my next three vacation days and save them for the week I am taking off at the end of October to that I will at least get paid enough to cover medical… So technically I already got paid my vacation in advance… and I’ll still take those three days off just not paid til later on my vacation…

Home in time to walk and pick up son3… checked email, homework with son3, made a big pot of chicken soup, ate dinner, watched Hogan’s Heroes and here I am…

Son1 took son2 mudding, washed the jeep, stopped at Walmart looking for a pedometer but didn’t find one he liked, washed the jeep again at home, having trouble with the jeep stalling out so checked on that, they ate dinner and now they are going for a walk… He also stopped by his old part time job site that he finally got the paper work for and is now in the hiring process… since he’s been gone from them for more than a year, he has to go through all the drug testing and background testing again…

Son3 is getting in the shower, the sink is still full of dishes and the new shows come on in twenty minutes… Tonight is How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, Two and A Half Men, Castle and Hawaii 50… I am off tomorrow though so can get some chores done around the house, hopefully… No unemployment today but like I told hubby, if it was denied I’m sure we would have got a response right away… Now he is just in the system and he will probably get a check this week, which is two weeks after the first statement he got without a check attached, just bubble in the answers to did you look for a job…

Today I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… potato chips… heading into my eating/salty craving week… dinner~chicken noodle soup, tortilla chips, water… maybe a bit of ice cream with caramel sauce in a bit….

And did you know that when you lose weight, you also lose weight in your feet… I usually wear a 10 1/2 wide but it is hard to find that size, so I usually get 11 which is too long or buy men’s shoes in an 8 1/2 or 9… but today out of curiosity I tried on a 10 in the stockroom and it was still too snug but I got it on, which means I might can fit in a 10 wide again…

September Nineteenth

Last night I had a bit of a nap after my ice cream while the boys finished Lord of the Rings… Then I got up, folded the laundry and watched an episode of True Blood Season Two…

This morning I was up bright and early at 4:30am… although it is dark now still before 6am… I got lots done at work today… I got 32 hrs this week while my co parts only got 9 hrs each… Guess supervisor wants me to redo the whole stockroom, open new receipts and set all the ads… Hubby said I would be wearing an S to work this week… Today I changed out all the hanging signs, put up all the signs for today’s ad, scanned for price integrity, scanned the men’s displays, took an online training quiz, cleared the ad exceptions, went to lunch, opened boxes and located shoes in the stockroom…

Checked on my punch sheets for the last two weeks and found instead of giving me 8hrs of vacation that I had requested it gave me 48 hrs of vacation for both weeks… Fortunately HR can fix the ones I didn’t get paid for yet… Still don’t know what will happen with the paycheck I already got… Will find out in the morning when I go to HR…

Came home… hubby and I looked a bit online for jobs… I checked email and facebook… Son1 and girlfriend came over… I made hotdogs for dinner… Nice afternoon of laughing with son1 and girlfriend… son2 and son3 were playing video games… Now the sink is full of dishes… hubby and son2 are watching Hogan’s Heroes… son3 is squeezing every minute he can on his games before shower and reading… son1 and girlfriend are watching I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry… Everyone is waiting for ice cream with bananas and toppings… I ended up having caramel instead of chocolate topping last night… forgot we had choices…

Son1 is still waiting to hear about his part time job he is getting… think the manager has been on vacation… he originally wanted it to pay off his cards… but now he is saying he wants a car but still keep the jeep… the jeep is more a toy than a drive to work car and go out on dates… plus he is having transmission problems… and he is worried about when it starts raining… he also said now that friend S asked him to get an apartment together… so then the part time job would pay for rent… I don’t think he will be getting an apartment though… although hubby did say son1 mentioned if he got an apartment if he could have our blue couch… hmmmm… he has been taking the jeep mudding all weekend… mudding is when you find a puddle in a field or vacant lot… I don’t know where the puddle came from as we don’t have rain… but he found one… as he and friend S went… and then girlfriend went… and then today son2 went… and the jeep is all muddy and he didn’t wash it and is taking it to work like that tomorrow… guess to show off that he went mudding…

It is getting dark in here already at 7pm… At least it is only in the 80’s this week… supposed to be cloudy tomorrow but no rain… we never get rain…

The sink is full of dishes but I think I will go watch some more True Blood while waiting for ice cream…

September Eighteenth…

Today was a lazy Saturday… I’m feeling a bit better, no sore throat and only a bit of a stuffy nose… Still settled in my chest though so waiting for that to clear… And a bit of a cough…

Today hubby made breakfast… son1 was here for breakfast.. said he was going to have a quiet day at home… but of course that never happens… his friend S called and they were off to help friend S clothes shop… and they went to lunch… son2 and son1 had planned to go to Blockbuster to get an XBox game to play all day… but then girlfriend came over and they were off to Blockbuster to get a movie and eat dinner here… They are watching When in Rome… son1 hates romantic comedies but is very good at doing things for girlfriend he doesn’t like doing…

Hubby cleaned up the kitchen a bit, fixed the light in the oven and worked on the side fence… I also worked in the kitchen and yet there is all the dinner dishes waiting in there now… I mailed the PGE bill and got three more bills ready to go on Monday… I did a couple of loads of laundry and finally finished moving all the books around with the new bookcase… I checked all my email and played on facebook awhile… I want to have a day to just read blogs… Soon…

Nothing in the mail from unemployment yet… But I did update the checkbook and look up my paycheck which was Oh So Wrong… I worked thirty hours with the holiday and took a vacation day… My paycheck showed me getting 40 hours of vacation, 21 hours worked as overtime, holiday pay and double time for working the holiday which we only get time and a half… so it was about $4oo too much… Wonder how HR will sort that out… I imagine I won’t be getting paid for a couple of weeks since the money was already deposited in my bank account…

The day has gone so fast… which is a good thing… our past few Saturdays were very long… we must have felt a bit back to normal today… Although it is 7pm already… Dinner is done and we are watching Lord of the Rings, son2’s choice… Now son3 is saying it is time for ice cream… I think I will have mine with a banana and a bit of chocolate syrup…

September Seventeenth

Last night I definitely had a fever… and was asleep by 7:30pm… I was up at 4:30 this morning feeling a bit better… I got the signs ready… had a bit of help putting them up… changed out some sale tables… found out from the supervisor that we have two weeks to make sure the floor and stockroom are set correctly for our certification… We have a lot to do to get ready… Went to lunch… and opened boxes til it was time to go home…

Still no word from unemployment… but I think that is a good thing and we will probably just get a first check… hubby says that the person on the phone said they would notify him within 48 hours but it’s way past that… so maybe she meant something else… or we’ll get something in the mail tomorrow… It’s interesting that right before this happened we were cleaning out some papers and found hubby’s unemployment papers from last time… and they still do things exactly the same… and he never got a letter or call from the last time when he did a phone interview… he did however have another phone interview at the end of his unemployment but he had gotten a full time job so he did get a letter stating he was denied unemployment because he had a full time job plus his benefits had run out for unemployment…

So once home I changed so we could pick up son3 from school and go grocery shopping… Just got some basics to go with what we have… went to Food Maxx that we used to shop at way back before they put in the big new WinCo… Food Maxx is exactly the same but seemed way small and hardly anyone was there for a Friday afternoon…

Son1 is off with girlfriend… Son2 has just got home from hanging with his friends… Son3 has been watching Transformer with hubby and me… I went through all my email… getting tons of junk email from all the job websites that I have been unsubscribing from… and we have been getting tons more hang ups on the house phone than usual… From go back to school to insurance to shopping… Now the boys have showered and we are getting ready to have ice cream and finish the movie…

I’m still tired and feeling yucky so looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow… It’s not good for me to be sick though cause than poor Holly got left out two nights in a row… It’s not cooling off in here as well tonight… It’s only 81 outside but 85 in the house… I have all the fans going as usual… I have just finished my ice cream cone… It was so good… the store had chocolate and vanilla… like Neapolitan but without the strawberry… tasted just like the ice cream at the Zoo…

September Sixteenth

I was up at 4:30am… I’m scheduled early this week, which means then I get off early… but boy I am tired… Made sure son1 and son2 were up and I was out the door before  them… I helped with the weekly count, changed out sale tables, put up some signs, took down some signs, got all the signs ready for tomorrows ad, went to lunch, cleaned the stockroom, put away and located shoes in the stockroom, opened boxes…

Once home, changed my clothes, got some water, walked with hubby to pick up son3, had a talk with son3 about meeting us after school and not hanging with his friends, came home, started homework with son3, hubby and me and son2 had a talk about his schedule tomorrow at school-he’s in the 350 club so they are going to a swim party after lunch and then he wants to hang with his friends after school but as usual there is no exact plan and which friends house, so that talk went on a while, still doing homework with son3, checking my email, helping hubby with a question on the main computer with job hunting, son1 came home and he was hungry, I was hungry, started pulling out leftovers, I’m now more tired, have a fever, but getting whiney, no yelling… Finally sit down for dinner and watch an episode of Hogan’s Heroes…

Now son1 is in the shower and son3 needs to study his spelling words, test tomorrow… Son2 is doing some laundry… Hubby is patrolling the yard… Now son1 wants to take son2 to Blockbuster to get a new game…Son3 is getting in the shower now… 

We watched the last half hour of America’s Got Talent last night… I felt bad for Captain Poppycock and son2 was mad cause Fighting Gravity didn’t win… And I wasn’t surprised that Michael Grimm won, I had a feeling… and hubby made a good point that Jackie was only ten and not really Vegas entertainment… Besides I’m sure they will all be getting a lot of phone calls for offers…

We still didn’t hear from unemployment today…..

Now I’m ready for bed at only 7pm… Back to work early again tomorrow… But I have a cold and a fever so I need my rest…

September Fifteenth

Monday was an up and at work early again day… I set the ad, scanned for missing displays, stocked athletics, went to lunch, opened boxes and scanned shoes into the stockroom…

Hubby had his unemployment phone interview on Monday… They said they had to call the former employer and then we would hear in 48 hours if unemployment was approved… Today was 48 hours so maybe we will hear something tomorrow…

Monday son1 brought us humongous burritos from an actual Mexican restaurant for dinner… They were so good and we all ate the whole things except son3 who had chicken noodle soup… so son1 had a second burrito on Tuesday… We watched Role Models again… I forgot son1 had that movie and hubby really likes it and it is so funny… My favorite line is: Since you are in my personal space, can you sign my time sheet….

Monday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… dinner~humongous burrito, water… mini chocolate chips, lemonade, I made smores for the boys so I had a marshmallow…

Tuesday I had a vacation day… But I was still up early getting son1 and son2 out the door… then hubby was up and we had breakfast and got son3 out the door… I am liking all this extra walking of taking son3 to school and picking him up… He however is not… especially when we get all the way to the school and he is not where we are supposed to meet so we get him and continue walking the long way home… Hubby was online job searching and I was online job searching in between cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming and general cleaning of the house… Son1 and girlfriend went to the last concert in the park of the season… and we watched Batman: Under the Red Hood… It was the last of the America’s Got Talent so hubby and I watched… Tonight is the announcement of the winner but they are dragging it out for two hours so I will just wait and check online to see the winner… It’s tough though to say who it might be… Probably Jackie the ten year old opera singer… although son2 wants it to be Fighting Gravity…

Tuesday I ate: vitamins, green tea tablet, water… breakfast~oatmeal… lunch~yogurt, corn dog, cola… dinner~two bowls of beans and rice, corn bread, water…

Today was my day off… Got all the boys out the door and walk son3 to school… More online job hunting and house cleaning and walking to pick up son3… homework with son3… still have to finish his nightly reading… he got a 100% on his reading test today… We watched some of season one of Hogan’s Heroes earlier… And I still need to finish Date Night that I started earlier today… Son1 and girlfriend are off to the mall shoe shopping and out to dinner… Hubby is cutting son2’s hair… It’s just been getting to 90 all this week… so just leaving the windows open and fans going is keeping it at 84 or so in the house… I have a sore throat and stuffy nose this week so I’m hoping to be in bed early watching Date Night and resting for work tomorrow…

Wednesday I ate: vitamins, water… breakfast~apples and cinnamon oatmeal… cola… lunch~two corndogs… lemonade… dinner~lasagna, garlic bread, peas, carrots, lemonade… maybe I’ll have some hot chocolate later to sooth my sore throat…
