A New Blog Endeavor....

I am very excited to announce a new blog that I have the honor of being a part of.... Myself and three other bloggers have started a new blog called The Motivation Station... Between jobs, kids, husbands, computers, cleaning, shopping, cooking, sleeping and life in general; we all need a little motivation to get it all done... So with the help of all of you we'd like to share in the daily grind of getting it all done and then some....

~Busy Thursday~

I hurt every where!
I got to work this morning and the supervisor had left the wrong section for the morning associates to count, they were counting the women's shoes... I opened all the boxes for athletics this week since they would be counting athletics... so when I got there I had to go through over 1oo boxes of shoes of which about 60 were full of women's shoes... we were able to get it done in half an hour before they had to go home...
Then it was just me til 5pm today... supervisor came in at 2pm but she had to work the report from the counting...
So I started moving all the men's workboots on the salesfloors... I got about a third of the way done... but my arms hurt, my hip hurts, my legs hurt... fortunately it was Thursday so except for a mad rush at about 2:30 we were not busy today...
Hopefully I will finish tomorrow but it is a short day getting off at 1:30...
Hubby was busy after work today.... He finished homework with son3 and then had to go pick up son1... he has been having trouble with his car battery... so they ended up buying a new battery... son1 was busy at work too actually working on cars; three tire rotations, two oil changes, two tire changes, and a battery change, and a battery test, and then unloaded the truck of 300 tires...
Now I have thrown the leftovers out of the fridge on the counter and made some chicken salad sandwiches or if you just want cereal... which is what son2 and son3 had...
Now I have fifteen minutes and the premiere of Bones and Fringe are coming on... and I will tape Vampire Diaries and Supernatural... but first have to get son3 in the shower and bed... and girlfriend is over for son1 so they will watch his tv... and son2 is off talking with his friends on the phone...
So I'm off to eat my chicken salad sandwich and get busy....

Wednesday Glee

Glee comes on tonight...

Two weeks of the fish tank and only one fish left, barely hanging on though... They got the Ich parasite... This is why I didn't want to have fish again... at least son2 is old enough this time around to study up on how to take care of the fish... his first learning experience: sterilize the items going into the tank does not mean rinse them under hot water, it means boil them in boiling water... I did not help them with the initial set up so did not supervise the instructions... So this weekend he will sterilize the tank correctly, the last fish will be gone by then... poor fish... I also found a larger kit at Walmart to treat and test the water with that we will invest in and the Ich medicine so the fish don't get the parasite...
Son1 and I were both off today from work... he worked on his transmission on his car and is now working on his brakes...
I got hubby off to work and son2 and son3 off to school... cleaned up the computer that the boys use online, it keeps coming up with a hard drive error... watched an episode of Emergency and paid the bills... cleaned out a junk drawer... ordered all the goodies for the trick or treaters using my Cricket rebate gift card, ordered the tickets for the Zoo Boo (trick or treating at our zoo), figured out how to pay son3's lunch account online, did son2's laundry, homew0rk with son3, and made cube steak for dinner that is just about ready...
Didn't get to wash the floors or vacuum and still have to put the laundry away...
Hubby is home from work and in a better mood today... he was still grumpy yesterday as he didn't feel well for some reason.... I was trying to ignore him as I was in a good mood... can we ever be in a good mood at the same time, lol... So I ended up watching The Biggest Loser, they kept crying so I kept crying... At work I finished working all the women's clearance shoes to the clearance racks, they were selling faster then I could fill them... and I got all the athletic shoe boxes opened so they can count them tomorrow... our visitors can come as early as next week and I still need to move the entire men's shoe department in the correct order... and we all need to finish redoing the displays to the correct way... I've been in shoes five years and finally we have learned the correct way to display the shoes...
Son1 finished all his computer training at work and tomorrow he starts on the floor, so I won't see him now as he'll be out in the automotive building... right now he is off meeting with someone buying something of car parts or such that son1 had on Craig list...
Pistol has been a bad boy today and is digging up my rock garden, my alligator is not scaring him off... he has discovered all the plastic under the rocks, so he is ripping up the plastic and then barking at it as he finds it around the yard... silly dog...
So I had my Klondike bar on Monday night, I'd never had one before... it's just an ice cream sandwich but round... It wasn't very good, ice cream sandwiches taste better... Hubby bought me It's Its today, those are really good...
Ok gotta go get dinner started as it has been ready and everyone is just sitting around watching TV... Star Trek Next Generation now comes on every day at 6pm but we keep missing it, so maybe today... it's my favorite Star Trek with Captain Picard... Make it so... and then get everyone settled in for the night so I can watch Glee....

My new crow I got to go with my scarecrows...
Today is Monday, right, the days are starting to run together...
I found out yesterday that the sucker fish died... hubby said the tank was too clean and he had nothing to eat... is that true... so I guess we should wait til we've had the fish awhile before getting another sucker fish....
Son2 after watching 2Fast and 2Furious said that it didn't have much to do with the first one, so he skipped the third one and watched the fourth one...
didn't we try to tell him...
I can't remember yesterday... I've had a headache the last two nights and then this afternoon...
I did work yesterday from 6-2pm...
Hubby was very grumpy after he got home from work, he had a bad day...
I went to bed early...
Son1 had girlfriend over to watch movies...
Son1 finally went to work today and started his training... however he is not home yet and got off work long ago, guess he is off with friends...
And it rained last night and even this morning as I was driving to work, I had to use the windshield wipers... I can't believe it...
Today at work: I scanned all the shoe divisions for missing displays, worked the women's clearance shoes into the clearance racks, went to lunch and opened boxes... Was just me til 3pm today...
Found out today we are having more VIP's coming...
Tons of processes to work for the visit with no hours...
Hubby was in a better mood today...
Son3 got all his homework done...
Son2 still needs to take his homework more seriously and get his chores done if he ever wants to do anything with his friends again...
Wolverine comes out tomorrow on DVD...
Hubby asked what I would do for a Klondike Bar...
Told him I would finish my blog entry... lol...

Friday-Saturday

Last I left you I was getting ready to watch Supernatural... And they are off to a good start... Glee was very good too... very funny and music too...
Friday at work was not as fast a day as it could have been... It was just me til 1pm, so I replaced missing men's shoe displays, opened boxes and from 11:15-12:30 I ran around like a crazy person, helping customers, answering the phone and answering price check calls to the registers... I saw son1 in the middle of all that going on his orientation tour... After lunch I continued scanning the stockroom for our stock locator process...
Got home, played facebook on laptop... Hubby had the day off so he had gotten pizza for dinner... We got the new Fast and Furious in the mail, but son1 had the first three so we decided to watch the first one... Son1 was back and forth as friend's house helping him work on his truck, Pistol got to go too... Then we watched Jeff Dunham... Don't know how but by time it was over it was 11pm...

It's been a week and a half and the fish are still swimming and the tank is still clean.. thank you little sucker fish...
Today I had to be at work at 6am on a Saturday for a meeting til 9am... Saw son1 again at work but he didn't stay cause his new password isn't in the system yet so he wasn't able to do his computer training... hopefully tomorrow but I don't think so as it is the weekend, so it probably won't be activated til Monday...
Got home and the boys were having pancakes... I brought home leftover doughnuts... son1 was off at friend's again but working on his own car, oil change and such... So we went Halloween shopping... Michael's, JoAnn's, Spirit, Walmart... the Walmart had no Halloween, don't if it was all sold out or they are not displaying Halloween this year... they had candy but that was it... Hubby did get a skull cane at the Spirit store... Son2 found some plastic handcuff chains at JoAnn's and I got a crow to go with my scarecrows... Then at Walmart we did find some Halloween scary sounds CD and the Fired Up movie... We watched it when we got home with leftover pizza... That movie is hilarious!!
I did three loads of laundry... I went out for a few to take pictures of the roses but it stinks of dog poop... so I got grumpy...
son1 is off at girlfriend's cousin's wedding tonight... but we are gonna have to have a dog talk again.... meanwhile son2 got grumpy with me so since I was already grumpy too he got a lecture on chores and homework... he was mad cause we are now watching the fourth Fast and Furious and he wanted to watch two and three first... so he is in his room watching the second one... Hubby got deli chicken for dinner... so I am full of chicken wings.... mmmmmmm.... he also got chocolate cream pie for dessert and Klondike bars ( don't think I have had those before)...
I still want to watch The Vampire Diaries before I go to bed... and then I have to be at work at 6am again tomorrow to set the ad....
I'm tired, no sleeping in til next Saturday...

Almost Time...

I survived today at work... Actually it was a fast day... When I got there the earlier associates were finishing the counts for the week... the associate that was going to cover the floor for me did not come in til 11am, so I opened boxes and covered the floor... we were busy for a Thursday... From 11-1:30 I scanned the stockroom for our new stock locator process... went to lunch... and then scanned for two more hours til it was time to go home...
Once home, hubby was finishing up homework with son3, so I pulled out the leftover lasagna and heated up some more veggies to go with it... we watched a couple of animated Star Treks, did the dishes, got the boys in the showers... and now I am watching the season finale of last season's Bones... Waiting for Supernatural... just 52 more minutes!!
Son2 found out today that he is part of the 350 Club for the California State Test, guess that is a good score... so he gets to go to lunch early and go to a pool party on the 18th...
Son1 got his car taken care of the DMV today... and finally goes to WORK tomorrow at Sears for Orientation...
Son3 is watching his Justice League movie from Netflix...
Hubby did find me a Hershey chocolate bar hiding in the pantry last night... so I did get my chocolate... and now I'm thinking another piece might help this headache I am getting...

I'm taping Vampire Diaries... I'll give it a chance, but don't think I'm gonna like it...
32 more minutes til Supernatural...
and I think that is all that happened today...

Day Off

It's been a ho hum day... Today was my regular day off but seems I lost my momentum of cleaning... I have spent all day on the computer... scrolling around in facebook... this morning I was being productive in my regular games, but then I was just clicking on games to click... Not that I want to hurry up and go to work tomorrow but today has been forever and I am ready for bed... The season premiere of Glee comes on tonight and I want to watch it, but not for two more hours...
I have to finish getting the stock room ready for this new procedure tomorrow but I am the only one scheduled til 3pm, but I think the supervisor got someone to cover the floor... I shall see when I get there... Meanwhile I can't wait til tomorrow night at 9pm as it is the premiere of Supernatural... Vampire Diaries come on at 8pm, but not sure if I'm gonna like them or not, seems too much like Twilight... we'll see...
So today I did get son2 and son3 off to school... and hubby off to work... I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher... I took down all the patriotic decorations hanging outside and inside and put up my scarecrows... I finally got son1 to go to the DMV for his new car but the line was out the door so he will try again in the morning... he did stop by the car insurance place without me telling him and got the info for to get that started again on the new car... Sears did not call him today... his friend also got a job, through the school district, and is waiting for a call this week too of when to start... I did homework with son3 and watched Emergency on the retro channel... and made lasagna for dinner... plus I ate all day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between each... now if I could just find some chocolate I might be done... Didn't do the dishes though... But I guess I did do a few things, huh....



Now son1 and son2 are outside steam cleaning son1's car seats... I think son2 has finished all his homework... son3 is taking forever in the shower and probably has not even touched the soap or shampoo yet... Hubby was working on his dragon he is drawing... I'm thinking it is for the Halloween card this year, but now he is taking a break from it and has wondered off some where...
I really wanted to go outside today and trim the roses and take pictures but didn't feel like dealing with the dog or stepping over dog poop, so may have been part of my funk of being stuck in the house... most days I don't mind him being here but every so often it bugs me... plus son1 didn't give him any attention today except to feed him so he was hanging at the patio door with that nobody loves me look...
Hubby was helping son1 put up a light outside so he could see to clean his car... only 7:30 and it's already dark out... now he is checking to be sure son2 finished all his homework... son3 is finally getting out of the shower...
Son3 has his jammies on, think I'll go get mine on too... His favorite things in school now are music, science-they watch Bill Nye the Science Guy and writing in his journal...

Labor Day

Monday didn't even feel like a holiday... hubby was at work and I was at home... usually the other way around on a Monday holiday... but hubby works Mondays now, so no more Monday holidays off for him and there are a lot... I was up early with hubby at 6:30am and spent the morning on the laptop... Then from 10am to 3pm, I was participating in Martha's Blog Cleaning Challenge... I got my master bathroom cleaned, the house vacuumed, the kitchen cleaned and lots of little things in between... read Martha's comments to review all the details...
Dinner was leftovers from the week plus all the leftovers from the ribs and fixings I had made on Sunday... We watched Jaws... and then I read blogs while watching two Castle repeats...
Son1 cleaned the boys bathroom... and took son2 for Subway and a haircut... Otherwise all three boys were video game crazy on their three day weekend...
Son2 had homework that he ignored all weekend... He did his math but did not take the time to understand it... He did his history homework... He had to finish reading a book for English: A Human Comedy by William Saroyan... and write a paper... he finished the book last night at 9pm but did not do the paper... he told me he found out today that it is not due til Thursday... I hope he is telling the truth... he does not have a good attitude about school this year... and no matter how much time he has to get the work done, saves it for the night before it is due... very frustrating...

Today was a good fast day at work... We are short hours so it is just me in the morning all week... We had a new process for the store take place this week... so supervisor and I spent all afternoon implementing it... I will take all day Thursday to finish it... we are trying to embrace it but too many factors we are not liking.... it's a new process for our stock rooms... but it made the day go fast... first in the morning I stocked the shoe accessories and cleaned our work area in the stock room and opened all the men's new shoe receipts as they have to do a count on them on Thursday.... and now tomorrow I am off again... hopefully tomorrow son1 will get a call from HR for his new position... I talked to HR today and they are hoping for tomorrow...
I tag teamed hubby when I got home for son3's homework... made hot dogs for dinner... the sink is full of dishes, lots of cleaning in the kitchen in the morning... and hopefully wash the kitchen floor while everyone is at school...
Now there is nothing on TV... I can't wait til Thursday, Supernatural season premiere... Hubby is in the art room drawing dragons... son2 and son1 are probably in the front room playing Sims... and son3 is getting ready for bed... Holly is sleeping next to me on my bed... It's getting dark earlier now... making me tired earlier... I've noticed even though the temps are still in the 100's, some of the leaves on some of the trees are starting to change colors... amazing how they know...

Saturday-Sunday

The moon this week...


I did not do an entry yesterday as I was grumpy... It's my grumpy week, aren't you glad you don't live here... hubby's not, lol... We started the day by sleeping in til almost 9am, that's late for us... Then hubby made banana nut pancakes and fried eggs... We all had breakfast together at the kitchen table even... Ya know the Verizon commercial where the dad is on twitter and the mom is on facebook... well that is what I am doing to son2 this weekend... lol... I keep texting stuff like 'I am sitting at the table' on and off throughout the day... it's bugging him cause he thinks it's his friends and it's just me, lol... he wants a new phone that can take pictures... I told him for Christmas since he has had his first phone for a year by then and has not lost or damaged it that we will upgrade... however he is getting pissy and wants to change to a different server instead of Cricket... I said fine next summer when you get a job and you can pay for it... as long as I am paying he will have Cricket...


After breakfast hubby went to work in the backyard and I was clicking around on the laptop, looking for Halloween stuff for the trick or treaters... The boys were watching son1 play his PlayStation... I had mentioned to hubby that the Spirit Halloween store was open now... he finished working in the backyard, I still hadn't cleaned up from breakfast but then again neither did he, and he wanted to go to the Halloween store... I guess somewhere between him going outside and coming back in I entered the grumpy week, lol, cause I no longer wanted to go to the Halloween store and the house was a mess and the boys weren't dressed and I was tired... Poor hubby never saw it coming... So he went outside and cleaned up and reorganized the garage... and I did the dishes and cleaned out all of son3's clothes... Then we talked and decided we would just stay home... which was just as well cause after that I had a bit of upset tummy that hubby had at the beginning of the week... But it didn't stop me from eating all day on all kinds of munchies... and then hubby went to the store to get soda and chili for the hot dogs for dinner and got potato salad and macaroni salad and all kinds of chips too... we all woke up with heartburn this morning... I think it was the Hormel chili as we usually eat Nalley chili...


See the little baby grasshopper... He was hiding behind the petals so I had to pull the flower over to get his picture...

Hubby also put out an old roll top desk that he had from before we met on the curb with a free sign yesterday afternoon... We had to bring it back in last night as we didn't want it staying out over night... I left for work at 5:30 this
morning so I put it back out... It was still there when I came home at 11am but when I looked back out at 12:30 it was gone...

Son1 and son2 were off yesterday afternoon to get son1's car smogged... then they went to a friend's house and watched Fired Up...

Hubby also got a chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert last night and we watched The Di Vinci Code... It made so much more sense since I read the book... Then I was in bed early with my grumpy self...


Son3 was busy playing yesterday and watching his Spongebob Pest of the West movie that came from Netflix... Remember we watched the Outlander movie with the dragon from space... they captured the dragon by digging a pit... see son3's dragon in the pit, lol, with all the knights (they were Vikings in the movie) fighting it....


Today I had a very little ad to set... just supplement some signs as it is a holiday weekend so ad lasts through Tuesday... So after setting the ad, I stocked men's work boots and opened some boxes and got off early as we don't have many hours this week.... The boys have been playing on son1's PlayStation and eating... I have been on the computer and eating... I have also pulled out all the pots and pans and baking dishes out of the cupboards so I can reorganize them and get rid of some... Son2 has English, Math and History homework and son3 should be working on his practice books and reading and 4x... and son1 needs to build the other half of the fence... Stupid computers....

I took some riblets out of the freezer to thaw and we have tons of leftovers from the week... I need to remember to make some cornbread too... Yes, I found some cornbread mixes and I found some hush puppies to make....

But first I have to sort through these pots and pans and finish putting away the laundry from yesterday, oh yeah, I did three loads... and then I'll make dinner... Hubby won't be home for three hours yet....

Quesadilla...

This entry is for Betty, Hollie and Linda in Wa.... I mentioned the other day that I made some quesadillas... and they asked for the recipe... I did have to chuckle as they were just cheese quesadillas....
So I made one just now to share the recipe... Only takes a minute to make, faster then it takes the boys to eat them, as there are still three slices left since I started the entry....


You'll need tortilla shells and shredded cheddar cheese...


Place one tortilla shell on a microwave safe plate and sprinkle with cheese...
I have also in the past spread refried beans on the tortilla shell and then covered with cheese and what's even better is to add some cooked cut up boneless chicken to the beans and cheese and add a bit of taco bell hot sauce... We usually have left over taco bell packets lying around...


Then cover with another tortilla shell.... For just cheese, microwave for 30 seconds, then run your fingers across the top of the quesadilla to spread the cheese out and then cook for another 15 seconds to finish melting the cheese... for beans and chicken cook for 45 seconds, then check the cheese and cook in the microwave for another 30 to 45 seconds til cheese is melted...


Then cut into triangles and enjoy...

I do have an electric quesadilla maker but the shells come out hard instead of soft so haven't used it in a while...

there is only one slice left now... :)

Friday...

What a slow day... Thought it would never be time to get off work... I've been going straight to work after dropping off son3 but having to wait forty minutes til work started, so I read my book... Today I stocked the women's athletic shoes, went to lunch, stocked more women's athletic shoes, organized the women's athletic shoes in the stockroom and opened a few boxes and then finally it was time to go home... Even the drive home took forever...
Hubby had put enchiladas in the oven for dinner... so fixed some beans and quesadillas to go with them... Then we watched Outlander... about a dragon from space... and Vikings... Son1 and Pistol were off at friend's house all day... now the movie is over... Pistol is back and son1 is back at friend's... son2 and son3 are showering and getting ready for bed...
I'm watching the new show Glee, that I thought was premiering on the 9th, but this is some sort of twitter special cause they are twittering live and it is covering half the television screen...
I almost have a three day weekend... We are all off Saturday... I just work in the morning on Sunday to set the ad, but hubby has to work til 6pm... and I'm off on Monday with the boys but hubby has to work on Monday...
Now I think it is time for bed early tonight so we can make good use of tomorrow....
Hubby is rescanning the TVs, with this silly digital you lose channels so easily...

Thursday...

I did it! I blogged a whole week... I'm back... lol... I'm watching the season finale of Supernatural... the new season starts next Thursday! Son2 and son3 are in bed for the night... Son1 is watching a movie with girlfriend... and hubby is showing girlfriend is artwork of dragons he has been drawing... He was watching Supernatural with me...
Work was good today... A little busy for a Thursday... I stocked the men's Athletic shoes, went to lunch, took a training test, talked with supervisor, reorganized the men's athletic shoes in the stockroom and opened boxes...
Hubby had homework just about done with son3 when I got home and make chicken for dinner... but then we played with Holly the cat and son3... Son3 got a little carried away though and was taunting Holly and she slapped his face... scratches didn't show up til later though but they should be gone by morning... Son2 was on the computer looking up info for a bet he made with his friend, more of a debate, so he was looking for his proof of why he was right, lol... Son1 was off helping friend A work on his truck and stayed for dinner there...
After dinner I loaded the dishwasher and washed the pots and pans... son3 did his chores and took a shower...
Hubby is back watching Supernatural and he brought brownies and here we are...
A very fast day today... The fish are doing good, settling in... son2 is charge of feeding them... I'm off to eat a brownie...

Wednesday

I was off today... Got hubby off to work, son2 off to school and then son3... I found out today that hubby came home from work early yesterday since he was sick.... He's all better today though and back to his loud talking self... lol... I did three loads of laundry, the dishes, washed the pots and pans and played on the laptop, reading blogs... I also went out and got some pictures of the roses and noticed that the Crepe Myrtle was full of bees.... you could hear a loud roar of a hum... I had fried eggs and ham with cheese on sourdough for breakfast... Son1 got up about 11am and made some scrambled eggs with mustard... He and girlfriend watched The Haunting and Signs last night... He and I had a good chat this morning about this and that... Then he was off to get the exhaust fixed on the new Mustang so he can get it smogged...
and I was off to pick up son3... he was all sweaty from the 100 degree temps so threw him in the shower... then he had three math pages and two English pages of homework... then study his flash cards... he forgot his library book to do his reading... while he was doing homework I made chocolate chip cookies, brownies, put dinner in the oven, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook... we were done in an hour and a half... hubby spends two hours on homework and still not done and son3 doesn't let him do anything, lol...
Then son1, son2 and hubby all got home around the same time... dinner was almost ready but son1 and son2 wanted to run to Walmart... they ended up also at PetSmart and then back to Walmart...


A couple of days ago son1 and son2 started talking about getting fish again... son2 had set the fish tank up in the bathroom a couple of years ago and it had sat there empty of water but with decorations and a plastic lizard in it... The last time we had fish son3 was born and they all died cause I wasn't home to take care of them, cause I was in the hospital having son3, lol...


So we have a sucker fish, that's him in the cave...


And three tiny goldfish... We got Bedknobs and Broomsticks from Netflix today that I put in but son3 keeps running to check on the fish... they are much more interesting... Son1 is off at friend's house and son2 has homework to do for Geometry... Hubby and I are taking pictures of the moon from the dining room table through the window but now it is getting too dark in the house... Now it's time to clean up from dinner and get ready for work tomorrow...

Tuesday

Today was a nice quiet day at work... I reset the men's shoe displays, printed out missing sale signs for men's and athletic shoes and almost finished opening all the boxes, just six left by the end of the day, but we got a truck today so there will be more on Thursday... While I was upstairs picking up some reports I ran into son1 in HR... he was filling out his paperwork for being hired for automotive tech at my store... he still has to wait for the background check and what not, but by next week he should be starting training... Yay!! He and girlfriend went out to dinner at In and Out and now they are picking out a scary movie to watch, but they are too scared to watch it, lol, so they may end up with their usual comedy...
Son2 is online watching Trauma to the Groin on YouTube... He didn't have any homework tonight... Son3 has finished his homework and is getting ready for bed... He passed his 3x today... Yay! now we are on to 4x...
Hubby is feeling better as he is more talkative today but still mopey and whiney...
There is nothing on TV... maybe I'll look for a movie or just go to bed early... I'm tired... but first I'm munching on a milky way candy bar...
Can't believe it is the first day of September already... still 100 degrees here today and tomorrow... then we will see the 90's the rest of the week...
Tomorrow is my day off... What shall I do....
OK I've put in War of the Roses... son3 is watching Tom and Jerry, son1 and girlfriend are watching The Haunting, hubby is watching something on PBS and son2 is getting ready for bed..... since he has to get up the earliest...

Monday...

Today was kinda of a waste of a day... four people called out of work yesterday and one called out today... the supervisor was complaining she didn't feel well either... so I wasn't very motivated to work, and I had made a list of goals for the day... I did scan the displays for men's and athletic, stocked some of the men's work boots, and traded out the men's flip flop displays with the women's and then I went to lunch... and then after lunch just opened boxes... we have all the fall boots, snow boots and kids slippers in and it's just September tomorrow...
then HR called me for son1's cell phone number so they could call him for an interview today but I didn't have his cell phone number on me... so they left a message on the house phone that he doesn't check?.... the auto manager has his application with his cell phone number on it, don't understand why he isn't calling son1 himself... I know he has openings... son1 said he would call tomorrow and reschedule...


Then when I got home hubby was sick with a tummy ache, so he got no sympathy since so many had already dropped the ball all day, lol.... poor hubby... he had finished homework with son3... son2 is working on his English homework... I told everyone that dinner was whatever they wanted... son2 had cereal... son3 had leftover scrambled eggs, hash browns, corn on the cob and a doughnut... I had leftover cube steak, corn on the cob and baked beans... son1 is off with friends...


Son1 did however finish this side of the fence... he just needs to put a finishing coat of color on it...


Ignore the garbage cans, lol... and we are having extra garbage pick up this week so everyone is driving through the neighborhoods in their trucks scavenging...

I finished my Nora Roberts Dreaming trilogy book today... So very good!!!
Now the dishes are done, son3 is settled in bed watching his Avengers cartoon... son2 had wandered off to watch the cartoon too and not finished with his homework yet... I'm watching reruns on TV, can't wait til the new shows start... I'm tired though and will go to sleep early tonight... didn't even want to wake up this morning at 6am... we've been staying up too late til 11pm the past month...

Weekend...

I am home from work... Got the ad set up and opened some boxes... Sunday is my easy day... Son3 has been watching HellBoy cartoons all day... Son2 has been helping son1 and playing his Oblivion computer game... Son1 has been very busy... Vacuumed the house, did the dishes, took the Goodwill to Goodwill, did three loads of his laundry, cleaned his room, worked on the fence in the front yard and is now watching a movie with girlfriend... Hubby should be home from work in an hour or so... We went grocery shopping yesterday and got corn on the cob for 10cents ea... boiled it yesterday but we had pizza and beans and chips... So I will be making cube steak to go with the corn in just a bit....


My roses are finally blooming again... Yay.... It's 104 right outside right now though...


Yesterday I got in a bit of a cleaning mood finally and washed all the pots and pans... Wiped down the island... Cleaned out the island cupboard of all the small appliances and got rid of a couple and organized the ones back in so they are easy to get to now... Washed the rugs and swept the kitchen floor... It needs washing but everyone was in and out all day yesterday....


Son1 has still been his social self but has been more attentive to his responsibilities too... He sold some old car parts he had and was able to do some repairs on the new car... He has a couple more parts listed on Craig's List and if they sell he can replace the turn single light covers in the front and finish fixing the exhaust...


Son1 asked hubby yesterday if he could build the fence that we started planning six years ago and hubby hadn't got to yet... We already had the posts and cement, so for $40.oo the fence rails and brackets were bought and yesterday son1 started measuring for the plans for the fence.... It's going to have a country style look.. more for decoration than keeping anything in the yard... It will deter people from cutting through our yard however, especially when we put up all the decorations at Halloween... and I can put decorations on it at Christmas... That's his new white car in the background...


Pistol and son2 were helping too.... Son2's back is better and he will be going back to school tomorrow...




Today I came home to three of the posts cemented in.... He is waiting for them to dry that is why he is watching movie with girlfriend... He's hoping by 6pm they'll be somewhat set...


Hubby was also doing projects yesterday... He built a shelf to put his computer on....


But ended up coming up with a different idea and rearranged the whole computer/drafting table and used his new shelf for computer books instead... lol....


Holly was just relaxing yesterday...


This the new pen hubby and son1 made for Pistol in the backyard...

I have now done three loads of my laundry... I need to water the houseplants, wash the pots and pans we dirtied last night making dinner, update the checkbook and get dinner started for tonight....
