November Twenty Fifth

IMG_0001

I survived working on Thanksgiving Day… Worked 6-1pm… We were open 7-12pm… there were already people lined up outside waiting for the Electronic specials… We made 4x our predicted day in sales… It was 12:40pm when we had to stop taking more customers and ask them to leave and come back tomorrow at 4am… or they would have stayed and shopped all day…

IMG_0002

Now I just have to get through tomorrow from 4am til noon and then it’s home to work on the mission board with son3… my next day off is next Wednesday…

IMG_0003

Hubby made cookies yesterday using cake mix… they are yummy…

IMG_0004

IMG_0007

IMG_0008

Hubby did all the cooking this Thanksgiving… The turkey… we also had yams, creamed corn, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce with apples, beets, green bean casserole, rolls…

IMG_0009

IMG_0010

Son1 ate with us in between being with girlfriend at her dad’s and then going to her mom’s…

IMG_0012

Danny stayed close by hoping for a bit of a taste… he did of course… Holly had a bit of turkey too… she is sleeping on the back of the couch now all toasty warm on her blanket…

IMG_0013

Hubby did have a mishap or two… I came home and helped with the mashed potatoes as he was going to make four times as much as we needed… he was fine once I got them started as he finished the potatoes while I was on the phone… he then said he just had the beets to heat up… I was like WHAT… you don’t heat up the beets, I put them in the fridge to chill… he said the can said to heat them up… since I’m the only one who eats the beets, I voted no for the heating up… then I noticed that the toaster oven light was on… I asked what’s in there and I don’t see a timer set for it… it was the green bean casserole that he had forgot about… so I took them out realizing they had no onions, so put in the onions and put them back in… he had asked earlier if I used the water in the cans with the green beans or if they should be drained… I said lets check the can of onions for the recipe… three cans of green beans, drained… um that would be a yes to the draining… he said well they would be a little watery… so we had green bean soup, instead of casserole… although once I put the onions in and it cooled it was more like gravy and it was very good… I had three helpings…

IMG_0014

Everything was yummy!! and we are so full….

IMG_0015

Son2 made Monkey Bread yesterday… I’ve been nibbling on it…

IMG_0016

And hubby made three pumpkin pies last night that we will be having in just a bit with a movie that hubby is picking… I think he is picking Narnia with Prince Caspian… Hubby taped the Macy’s Day Parade for me this morning too that I can watch this weekend…

IMG_0017

Hubby also did all the dishes and washed all the pots and pans…

November Twenty Fourth…

IMG_0017

Two more hours and I gotta get ready for work… I knew my two days off would be spent mostly waiting around to get to work today so we can get these three days over with… work wise anyway… Got another message from work to not come in at 1:30 today but back to regular time of 3pm… So much for a plan of any kind… I will get all the signs together and start separating them for the next three days… I don’t know if we start putting them up when we get there or after we close tonight… then two sets of signs to go up on Friday… and tables to be stocked… and hopefully I can open some more boxes to find more shoes we need… I spent time yesterday going through my work clothes and shoes… my pants are too big and my shoes are too small… I dyed my jeans again black yesterday so will just wear them until I get some new work pants…

IMG_0020

Hubby has been making pumpkin pancakes… we have had them three mornings now… they are so good… son3 loves them!

IMG_0022

Thanksgiving cards I have received!! I have not been sending cards to save on stamps til hubby gets a job….

IMG_0015

Here’s where son2 has been all week on his vacation… Playing Xbox on son1’s TV… He has a picture for art class he has to finish drawing… He also has an essay for English on a poem he is supposed to be writing that is due next Friday…

IMG_0002

And son3 playing his computer games…

IMG_0001

Who has a Mission Board due on January 14th on San Luis Obispo Mission that we are already two weeks behind on… He got a detention for the map and timeline above last week because he hadn’t done them yet… We got behind when he was out sick the two days and then they had four days off for Veteran's day… So last week since he got the detention and the teacher called me at work… so I finally got the project sent home so I could see what all needed to be done and we could get caught up… Did I mention that the project states that all research will be done in class… son3 doesn’t get his class work done to have time to do his AR reading tests never mind research his project… I’ve been yelling a lot the last few days… I even researched homeschooling since I spend so many hours doing homework I could probably home school and work full time… was too difficult in California with too many laws… we even mentioned to the teacher we still didn’t think he was mature enough to be in fourth grade but she said the parents aren’t allowed to hold the child back the school has to decide… while working on the mission project in between all the yelling, son2 and I realized we could let son3 fail the regular way and stop helping him do all his work…. anyway…

we finished labeling the map… he is arguing with me of what a time line is so I don’t think it is done but he said it is so we moved on… we spent an hour each yesterday and today answering a question sheet the teacher supplied with history print outs on son3’s mission so we could write the first two paragraphs… then we have to write a paragraph on physical features, info sheet also supplied by teacher… all of this was due last Friday… I couldn’t find some of the answers to the questions and was looking online… so far we have just answered the questions and still have to write the two paragraphs… which will be easy now that we have all the info… so on Friday after I get off work we will write the three paragraphs to get caught up to last Friday… then we are also going to write the paragraph on the soldiers, also supplied with an info sheet, that is due Tuesday when he gets back to school on Monday… the entire project has to be mostly done to be checked off Dec. 17th before they go on Christmas break… 11 more paragraphs to write, with pictures and such… then on Christmas break all need to be typed and put on mission board…

IMG_0003

It rained all day yesterday… Hard to see the rain in this picture…

IMG_0005

Hubby made sugar cookies… not what he planned though… so this was his practice batch…. he has plans to make more cookies today and pumpkin pies for tomorrow… I don’t feel I have done anything to help get ready for Thanksgiving… hubby has done everything…

IMG_0009

The pans came yesterday that I ordered for my thirty years with Sears…

Hubby and I are watching Emergency… the boys are on their games… son1 is working both jobs today…

another hour and I can get ready for work… I don’t like working at night only for all the waiting to be time to go… hubby is going to tape the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for me tomorrow while I am at work in the morning…

What I ate and Pedometer steps will resume again next week… and yes Betty there is still candy left… no chocolate left but I have been eating the little sugar smarties leftover from the trick or treaters…

Happy Journaling…

November

thanksgiving-cartoon

I was off today and off again tomorrow… I worked yesterday (Sunday) 6-2pm, Wednesday 1:30-9 or 11pm, Thursday 7-1pm, Friday 4-12pm, and Saturday 6-2pm…

I had planned on writing this entry this morning and getting a lot done today but I knew today would go fast as will probably tomorrow so the work days will come sooner… I am so not ready for Friday…

Today I watched Grown Ups with the boys, Emergency with hubby, Oprah’s second day of her Favorite Things and we all watched The Chronicles of Riddick this evening… This morning hubby made pumpkin pancakes and gave me a haircut, in the afternoon hubby and I went for a walk and this evening I paid the bills and the house payment… I did laundry… and went through son3’s mission folder for his project that is due in January… and my entry for Thursday for The Motivation Station… I also added some pictures to my Not Just Roses blog…

ColorfulSnowman 07

I was hoping to get everything done today but still have more on my list to do tomorrow… Finish laundry, have son3 work on his mission project, read a book with son3, sort through my work clothes and shoes, change out my work apron, mend some pj’s that are not too big to make them smaller for me, start the Christmas cards, water/dust/rearrange the house plants, change out the kitchen curtains…hubby wants to make cookies with the boys tomorrow…

I still feel so disorganized at work… I am so far behind on opening boxes… which means all the Thanksgiving shoes are still in them… we never seem to be ahead of the game for Thanksgiving… I’ve been thinking a lot about applying for the shoe lead position… I almost have myself convinced… supervisor hears rumors that she probably has the position she applied for… she also hears others are interested in being the shoe lead… interesting…

Almost time for Hawaii Five O, so gotta get son3 settled in his room… son2 has been playing son1’s XBox game all day, the new Assassin’s Creed… son1 only worked his full time job today and is now out having dinner with friend A who we just found out is getting married in January…

Thirty Years…

th_1  th_5

Thirty Years Ago Today I started working at Sears… I was seasonal Christmas help for $3.45 an hour…. I was a senior in high school… I’ve worked at five different stores in every department except for LP(security) and automotive(son1 worked there though so we got that covered)… I did quit once a couple of months before son1 was born and I had married his father… however when son1 was just three months old I decided to go back to work, even had an interview at JC Penney but Sears hired me back on the spot… and since I had only been gone five months, I kept my anniversary… Six years ago for my 40th birthday my supervisor position at the time was eliminated so technically I was fired/laid off… There were no other supervisor positions available at the time, however before the day was over they had placed me in shoes as a merchandiser still at my full time status… so I was rehired on the same day I was let go but of course with a five dollar pay cut… Six years later I am still in shoes with only about two dollars added back per hour… many times I wrestled with the idea of being a supervisor again, but never could decide if it was what I was supposed to do… The only time I have been out of work is the birth of each son and when I had my gall bladder out and I get five weeks of vacation a year…

th_6  th_10

Son1 is now working two jobs, a full time and a part time… I don’t understand why he is always saying he doesn’t have money or the money he has isn’t enough… I know he has bills to pay~cell phone and car insurance and storage but he doesn’t pay rent… and he chooses to eat fast food more times than he eats at home… he also has two credit cards to pay off and a friend that he owes a couple of thousand dollars to for when he bought his first car… but I tell him if he would have just paid so much to the three every month he would have had them all paid off in the last four years that he has been barely paying or not at all… hubby and I spent about $4ooo helping son1 when he moved back home over the last year getting his bills caught up and trying to teach him how to pay bills… What I really can’t understand however is that son1’s take home pay from his part time job is more than my take home at my full time job once medical insurance is taken out of my pay check… how am I paying my bills…….

th_13  th_14

Son2 wants to be a fireman/paramedic… son1 has always wanted to work with cars/motorcycles… son1 has worked at four jobs dealing with automotive including his part time job he has now… his full time job is a warehouse job dealing with large household appliances… son1 said a few months ago that he has always wanted to be a fireman and applied at the school son2 wants to go to… I never remember son1 saying he wanted to be a fireman…

th_18  th_19

Son1’s dad has had more jobs than I can count and has been on unemployment just as many… He is now unemployed once again…

th_20  th_21

Hubby wasn’t working when I met him but was going to school… His job before then he had worked at for 14 years… When we got married he got a job at the school he graduated from and worked there for 6 years… When we moved to Fresno we had sent out mass resumes that got him the job to move here, however the position did not work out and he was on unemployment… Of course I transferred to the Sears here, they were calling as we were still unloading the moving truck… Hubby got a job just as unemployment ran out and worked there for over 12 years… til just recently being let go for stupid reasons… what I don’t understand is why he got let go now… when I’m celebrating thirty years with Sears… I am more depressed today than when I turned 40 years old…

th_23  th_24

Of course I guess I was hoping for a bit more hoopla with my anniversary… I was given a pin and plaque at the morning store meeting a week ago but along with two others receiving their 20 year pins… and I got to pick a gift from the online catalog… I knew that was all I was getting, don’t know why I was expecting more… our store manager is very self centered… and everyone is very busy getting ready for Christmas… I just don’t feel career wise and pay wise I have much to show for my thirty years… but then I remember it got me through college, two marriages, one divorce, three sons and my house… but it’s still not enough with hubby not working…

th_25  th_26

I did have a good cry this morning that I have been holding in all week… I thought I was just upset about hubby not working and the holidays… but I have been having a mid life crisis about reaching my 30 year milestone at work and being a shoe stock person, not that I don’t like working in shoes… I also had a talk with hubby the other day about being a supervisor again… a store in the next town over was hiring a shoe lead and a softlines lead… but I decided it was not the right time with not knowing hubby’s new work schedule when he does find a job and having to commute twice as far as I do now, not that I commute, just that it is twice as far away… So I told hubby maybe if my shoe lead ever gets promoted I’ll apply for our store… The very next day I find out from my shoe lead that the person who had taken the jewelry lead position changed their mind and so our softline lead had taken the position instead opening the softline position at our store… which my shoe lead applied for… if she gets it she will move in January after the holidays are over… I was like how can I not see this sign hitting me in the face… didn’t I just tell hubby that if our shoe lead position opened I would apply… I know I could do the job just don’t know if I want the hastle… and would it exactly be much more money… I expected son2 to dispute it but he said he would help with son3 if I took the position… although hubby could get a job with hours to accommodate son3… we just don’t know what next year holds for us…

I know one thing…. only 20 more years and I can retire… assuming there will still be social security….

The picture below is the pans I picked as my prize…

November Thirteenth…

country-house-paint-1

Thursday I was on the go the whole day at work… I set the ad, did the weekly count, printed the missing signs for the ad, stocked the men’s work boots, went to lunch, located shoes in the stockroom and prepared some clearance shoes… once home… hubby went grocery shopping and I did laptop stuff, homework with son3 from when he was absent, made dinner and fell asleep at 8pm while hubby watched Bones and Fringe… son2 and son1 were playing XBox online…

Friday we all had a day off except for son1 who worked both jobs… I was up at 6am… lots of stuff on the laptop, and tons of laundry, vacuumed, cleaned the boys bathroom and cleaned the kitchen, made cookies and black eyed peas with ham, and did more missed homework with son3… we watched The Big Bang Theory and William Shatner’s new show… they were extra hilarious… then we watched Smallville and Supernatural…

Today we were all off again except for son1 had overtime at his full time job and then is still spending the rest of the day with girlfriend… hubby made a big breakfast this morning… then I finished son3’s missed homework with him while son2 did his homework… I did more laundry, changed the master bedroom sheets, dusted the living room and watched Bones that I missed and then the new Nightmare on Elm St… It was ok, not as scary as I was expecting… I got caught up on my facebook games this weekend too… I had too many snacks today too… grrrrrrr… But I work the next three days so I’ll use up a lot of calories… Now we’re watching GI Joe…

Received some sad news this weekend too, as two of my friends lost loved ones… one her mother and another her sister, so I’ve been thinking of them and feeling sad…

I could use a few more days off, still need to clean my bathroom and I haven’t been out in the yard in weeks so I’m sure the roses need some attention but I’m anxious to get to work too as the visits are now over and I can concentrate on getting all those boxes open that I am so behind on… my goal is to get them all done and out for Christmas…

G I Joe is ending and time to get everyone ready for bed so I can get up early for work tomorrow…

Thursday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… tortilla with turkey burger, squash, zuchinni… dinner~pork roast and veggies, split pea soup, french bread, water…

Friday I ate: hot chocolate… breakfast~ oatmeal… vitamins, green tea tablet… cola… lunch~PBJ sandwiches… peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies…  dinner~black eyed peas with ham on rice, pork roast and veggies, water…

Today I ate: breakfast~scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns, toast, hot chocolate… cola… cookies… chips… dinner~black eyed peas, rice, veggies, pork, lumpia, water… candy…

November Tenth

fetchww

I get so distracted so easily… I started this entry an hour ago… Son3 needed some scrambled eggs and Kool-Aid… I clicked on email… and I clicked on facebook… got distracted with photos on facebook… receiving my gifts on facebook… a friend had very sad news so I had to reply immediately… I was trying to find graphics at Google for this entry… and we are watching Ironman 2… oh look a piece of candy… writing the entry now… now the dryer is buzzing…

Yesterday was a very busy day at work… finished organizing the women’s shoes in the stockroom and located them all in… finished this or that around the supervisor helping her get last minute details finished for the visitors… went to lunch… relocated the men’s shoes in the stockroom… and put away some boxes… visitors arrived… the highest visitor introduced himself to me as we were in the stockroom and we chatted a bit about stockroom procedures and then he and supervisor were off to walk the sales floor… I won’t see supervisor til next week to find out how the rest of the visit went…

I also noticed yesterday that the shoe lead position was available again at our store in the next town over… I was tempted for half a second… it would be working for my friend that left to go to the other store… but I’m sure it would not be that much of a raise to accommodate me having to commute twice as far as I do now… it’s a tiny store compared to ours so I would probably not only be the lead but cashier and stock person for shoes too with a small team… I know I could do it but still need to be home for son3… not knowing what hours hubby will have at future job yet… we still share drop off and pick up duties for son3 and homework and early days and school vacation days… can’t always rely on son2, he’ll be a senior next year…

Son3 missed school again yesterday… he was well by the afternoon though and hubby picked up his homework… he was back to school today… and now has a four day weekend… and all the homework to do… mostly math pages… and a mission report/poster board due in a few weeks that we have to start thinking about…

hawaii five-0

I love the new Hawaii Five-O show that comes on Monday night… watched the Monday night shows last night that I taped including Hawaii Five-O… I have not switched over to the new time change… I tape Castle too cause I never stay awake after the first commercial… and now since the time change I can’t stay awake to watch it on tape past 8:30, as I fell asleep last night then… and then in the morning I automatically awake at 3:30am as I usually get up at 4:30am… so this morning on my day off I was up at 5am… it’s 815pm and I’m still awake so far… need to tape Criminal Minds at 9pm…

Today I did lots of laundry and made a pork roast with potatoes and veggies… Looked for jobs with hubby… talked with hubby about things… cleared out my email… did my Motivation Station entry for tomorrow… helped hubby make a grocery list for Thanksgiving and needed items, so he can go grocery shopping tomorrow… watched Emergency… still need to watch Glee from last night… and son2 and I have the new Nightmare on Elm Street to watch this weekend… after work tomorrow I have two days off…

Hopefully will get a bit of house cleaning done, homework with son3 and reading, watch all our shows and get caught up on our sleep… It’s so nice to be able to deal with things when hormones aren’t raging… still will share entries as I have time of the notes I took while I was raging…

I’m back to working on my weight loss plan tomorrow… want to lose the five pounds I gained back by Thanksgiving… I’m still 30 pounds down but since I've been eating too much and not walking as much, I feel fat like I was… Although with me being a bit skinnier and the coldness we finally have that is winter coming, I had a bit of a scare for all of a second today that I had lost my anniversary band that I wear with my wedding band… My rings just slide off now and this one fell off today and luckily it was just under the chair where I was sitting when I noticed it missing… I’m always afraid at work that my rings will fall off in the boxes and get thrown away… so as it gets colder I may have to take them off or wear them on a chain until hubby gets a job and we can have them resized… actually hubby’s ring is two sizes smaller than mine, but I tried his on today and it fits me perfectly…

Yesterday I ate: vitamins, water… lunch~chimichanga, yogurt, cola… chips… candy… dinner~split pea soup, turkey burger, pork and beans, water… candy…

Today I ate: hot chocolate… vitamins, green tea tablet, water… breakfast~yogurt, cereal… lunch~macaroni and cheese, cola… popcorn… candy… dinner~pork roast, potatoes, veggies, rolls, water…

November Eighth…

ChristmasSnowmanwithbirdonhat

I am feeling better… and it was mostly due to hormones…

Now son3 is home sick today… he told me that the bad dream he had yesterday morning that had me up at 3am, had all the scary movie characters in it… Jason, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Tommy from Halloween… not that he has seen those movies… last night he had me up at 1, 2:30, 3:30 and then I got up at 4:30 and then he threw up getting hubby up at 5am…. we should have realized yesterday due to he didn’t eat all day, except for dinner he had two corndogs… he hasn’t eaten again today and has finally fallen asleep at about 4pm… so he may not be at school again tomorrow… with Veteran’s Day this week, they only have a three day week and four day weekend…

It was a long day at work today… I scanned for missing displays, scanned for missing signs, went to lunch, and organized and scanned the women’s shoes into the stockroom… I also had a couple of supervisor’s helping to rescan the stockroom to correct the locating… Now tomorrow our VIP visitors will be coming about 1:30pm unless their flight is cancelled, we can hope…

Since we are open this year for Thanksgiving at my job, hubby and I have been trying to figure out when/how to fix the turkey that week… Son2 was there so I included him in the conversation and boy was he MAD that I had to work Thanksgiving… I was telling him we would just have the day on my day off and he said NO we couldn’t celebrate on the non holiday day… Plus I had thought I might have Wednesday off since we will be going in on Thursday, we could get ready for the Friday sales then and so we would cook on that day but then I found out today that I will work on Wednesday night from probably 3-11pm to set the ad for Thursday… and then Thursday set the ad for Friday… and then probably go in at 3am on Friday… I probably work 7-3 on Thanksgiving so we’ll eat when I get home but prepare the food throughout the week… although son2 said that wasn’t right either as all the cooking should be done on Thanksgiving…

Only 5:30 and very dark outside already… and only 61 degrees today… Snow in the mountains even… Son1 works both jobs today and son2 is doing History homework… no homework with son3 today… yay… poor guy being sick… Going to heat up the left over soup one more time and maybe make some sandwiches… Hubby put in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea season 1 and Rules of Engagement, Castle, Hawaii Five O and all the Monday shows come on tonight…

November Seventh…

atf

Thank You Betty and Sheri… You guys are great!

and yes I guard my words when it comes to writing in my blog… don’t want anyone to worry needlessly… and this is supposed to be my pretty place, not my whiney complaining place…

but then it is good to write them out, to sort them out and not let them build up and explode on loved ones…

However I do my best thinking at work and in the car so by time I get home, I forget everything I want to write about… so I’ve been jotting some things in a notebook as I think of them this evening…

fetchiw

For today I’ll just elaborate on what happened the other morning that set me off… One being that I have not had Chuck for two months now, but I think he is trying to arrive this week so I am PMSing big time… For the past six years or so I tell hubby every Christmas that we are going to cut back and not go all out… just get the boys the main things they want from Santa and not a bunch of extra stuff that we think is cute, they did not ask for and then never play with… but each year hubby goes over board, I see a few more things the boys need and then we both get too much stuff for ourselves and once again Christmas morning is huge… So I figured this year with hubby not working, we had the perfect excuse not to shop, no money… we told son2 and son3 that they could make a list of ten things and Santa would bring them five each… I told hubby nothing for either of us, nothing from us for the boys and son1 just needed a movie or such… and stockings could be the usual soap and shampoo with a candy or two… but that’s it… trust me we are not suffering for wanting anything, especially the last year we have all been out of control buying stuff, especially books and movies…

Anyway to Saturday morning, son2 and son3 were arguing over the toy catalogs, son2 was telling son3 what he couldn’t ask for cause that was what he wanted and just general brother bickering… but I saw red, as they were both being greedy and selfish and told them I could cancel Christmas in a second… as hubby doesn’t have a job… of course son3 was in tears as Santa brings the presents and son2 was just teenage mad… you see I am all about the cutting back for the four to six months that hubby isn’t working… it’s the other people in the house that don’t seem to want to work with a plan…

Of course I don’t want this to be the year that son3 learns there isn’t a Santa… son1 and son2 were literally teenagers and still believing in Santa as I had them so convinced they just weren’t sure and didn’t want to jinx anything…

Besides Thanksgiving is first, and I am not ready for Christmas yet… I have been trying for this year to relax and do one thing at a time… so figured with hubby not working, this was our chance to do nothing so as not to spend money… but everyday everything is still happening all the time… just so busy here with three boys at work and school and life…

I’m also trying to reel hubby in as he is the biggest shopper… but you would think he would be the first to not shop as he is the one not working… he promised the boys each a bag of 50% off candy after Halloween… he came home with four or five bags… $13 worth after the 50% off… what happened to one bag each… of course he and I are also eating them… I’m trying to get back to losing weight…

I have been up since 3am, new time, son3 had a bad dream… but I looked at hubby’s clock that hadn’t been changed and thought it was 4am and I get up at 4:30am for work… son3 wanted his TV on to forget about his dream, he also wanted the hall light on even though his bedroom light was on too… We watched Funniest Video Moments with Eric Estrada for a bit… I went back to my room and realized it wasn’t time to get up yet… turned the hall light on for son3, laid down for a half hour but didn’t get any sleep as hubby was snoring big time… got ready for work, son3 was back to sleep and I was out the door…

Set the ad at work, printed missing signs, hung the all on sale signs and cleared the exceptions… went to lunch… and continued organizing the women’s shoes in the stockroom…

It has been raining all afternoon and windy… hubby raked all the leaves on the side of the house and then the wind blew a bunch more out of the tree again…

I have been on the laptop clicking this and that…

Son2 and son3 found a little frog in the yard that they put in the fish tanks with rocks and a bit of water… we researched what they eat, live insects… so I have talked them into letting it go back in the yard, as it misses it’s mom…

son2 just came back in from letting the frog go, he got freaked out as it jumped on his arm…

Son1 worked his part time job today… now he is playing his XBox…

the boys need to get showered, read a book with son3 and Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXI comes on tonight…

November Sixth

ChristmasSnowmanandcupofhotchocolat

What a day… I was grumpy… Yelled at the boys… I know we will be ok… I know hubby will eventually get a job… I know we will get through the holidays… I’m ok now too after a bit of yelling and a good cry… I just get a bit overwhelmed at times… Lots of thoughts but hard to type them out… Back to one day at a time, and trying not to let my thoughts get the best of me…

Son1 stayed at a friend’s last night, then he met up with girlfriend, they went to another friend’s to work on the Jeep that still hasn’t passed smog, then they were here for dinner and now they are watching a movie… son1 has hooked his XBox  to the internet and is now able to watch Netflix movies on his XBox… so we are getting more out of Netflix for our money as we were watching The Karate Kid that came in the mail…

Son2 has been playing his XBox all day with his new hard drive… although he was having problems getting one of his games to play…

Son3 was bored all day after he finished his morning cartoons, as he wanted to play XBox but did play some of his computer games… and playing with his Nerf gun all day…

Hubby cleaned in the garage,  part hiding from my grumpiness and part cause it needed it… hubby had bought the boy’s candy at half price off at Target since they didn’t trick or treat, so he sorted it out evenly between the boys today…

I did lots more laundry and put it away… Made split pea soup with ham, carrots and potatoes… Updated the checkbook and paid the bills… and went through most of the books in the children’s bookcase to find books in son3’s reading level that he can read for his AR reading tests…

We finished watching The Karate Kid, the new one, it was pretty good and they stayed to the story… Now we are watching Lost in Space… Gotta love that Dr. Smith…

We turn the clocks back tonight… more sleep right… lately I am not sleeping through the night, waking up every few hours thinking it’s time to get up… and when I do sleep son3 wakes me up with a bad dream or the cat bugging him…

Gonna finish watching Lost in Space and still have a bit more clothes to put away…
